   Just a Little Story
   Chapter 23
   “Woah woah woah!” I screamed as I headed for the wall again. I started moving my legs and feet trying to avoid hitting the wall. As a result, I began to fall on my butt. As I was about to land roughly, my fall was stopped. I looked up and saw Noah smiling down on me. I began to laugh
   “Wow, you really are uncoordinated.” He chuckled while he said it.
   “I told you!” I was laughing too. How about we go get something to eat from the snack bar. Once we got off of the ice, I took off my skates and walked around in my socks until I got my shoes, and Noah did the same. As I was bent over tying my shoes, in my ear, Noah whispered,
   “I love you so much my angel”
   “I love you too. I can’t imagine my life without you when I leave”
   “Well, we aren’t going to break up…right?”
   “Of course not! It’s just going to be hard to not have you with me. Your arms around me,” he wrapped them around me as I stood up, “Your sweet voice, and your lips on mine,” He kissed me so lovingly.
   “Like I said, we need to make the best of this. We will just spend as much time as we can, as much time with you in my arms, and your lips,” he touched them gently, “on mine.”
   “Promise me the long distance relationship will work?”
   “I swear.”
   “Good, come on, let’s get our food.” We began to walk over to the snack bar. Suddenly there was a terrible grinding noise. “What’s that?” I asked Noah.
   “Not a clue. Probably something to do with the ice. Do you want to wait here while I get us stuff?” he asked as he took a few steps away.
   “Yeah, I wan-“ my sentence was interrupted by a loud clunking noise, then a crash.
   “ARI!!!” Noah yelled as he practically tackled me to the ground. I felt a sharp pain in the back of my head. We landed on the ground and he was on top of me. I looked to where I was just standing and the giant fan that keeps the indoor skating rink cool was sitting on the ground. Noah just saved my life. “Honey, are you awake? Can you hear me? Are you hurt?
   “How do you expect me to answer all of that at once?” I answered trying to be funny, but he could clearly hear the pain in my voice.
   “Where are you hurt?”
   “The back of my head, It must have just be a bump from hitting the ground.”
   “Well I’ll take a look anyways.” He carefully turned my head. “I don't think it was from hitting the ground, I think one of the blades from the fan got you on the way down. You my sweet are going to need stitches.” He told me. I watched as a bunch of workers came and began to fix the fan and escorting people out of the building, some people were rushing over to us now. Then it sunk in, eck, stitches. I hate needles and blood. I took my hand and reached it around to the back of my head, I felt the wound. It was deep and bleeding. I also felt the pool of blood on the ground. That's when everything went black.

   Just a Little Story
   Chapter 21
   I woke up sitting in the same place on the swing with my head against one of the chains holding it up. What time is it? I checked my phone and saw that it was 7:56am. What day is it? Okay, Saturday, no school. Good. I wonder if Noah is up yet? I’ll sent him a quick text before heading over to his house.
   Arianna: Good Morning baby! <3 are you awake yet?
   After about 5 minutes I realized that he wasn't, so I tried Catherine.
   Arianna: Hey Catherine! You up?
   Again, after 5 minutes, no reply. Hmmm…. Oh! I know! Sarah is a pretty early riser on Saturday mornings because she has to be at the animal shelter that she volunteers at for 9.
   Arianna: Heyy Sarah! Are you awake?
   Sarah: Yeah dude. I’m surprised you are! Lol
   Arianna: Well I’m kinda in a pickle, and the sun woke me up. Trust me, it wasn't my choice. Hahaha
   Sarah: What kind of pickle are you in?
   Arianna: Long story, but I’m not at home right now… am I able to swing by your house before you have to head to the shelter?
   Sarah: Yeah, come on over!
   Arianna: kk. Cya in like 10
   Alright, perfect. I gathered my things and walked to Sarah’s house. I passed my house on the way and saw that all of the lights were off. Wow, glad they are so concerned with my wellbeing to be awake and looking for me. They didn’t even come looking for me last night when I left. Some family I have. I got to Sarah’s house and she let me in. We went up to her ocean themed room. She gave me a hug and after I put my bag down. I realized that at this point I must look terrible, so I looked in her mirror. Sure enough, my fancy make up from last night was smeared all around, and my perfect hair was askew. In my best attempt at a quick fix, I threw my hair into a bun and grabbed a tissue to wipe the mess off of my face. Good enough.
   “Sorry, I looked kind of discussing!”
   “It’s fine! Now tell me about your pickle and why you weren’t at home,” She said. I explained that I had gotten really mad at my family about something. I knew that I wouldn’t be off the hook as to telling her why I was mad at them.
   “Why were you mad?”
   “Well,” I started. “My dad told me that we are moving at then end of the semester.”
   “Oh my gosh! No! Where are you going?” she asked. I was silent for a minute. “Ari, where are you moving to?” she asked more serious then before.
   “London.”
   “No! No way! You can’t move across an ocean! What are you going to do?”
   “For now, I am not staying home, I’m going to spend as much time as I can with you, Catherine, Julia, and Noah.”
   “Wow!” she gave me another hug. “Well, if you need to stay somewhere, you can stay here whenever you need!”
   “Thanks you are the best!” I said as I felt my phone buzz in my pocket
   Noah: Now I am baby. Sorry I wasn't up. What do you need.
   Arianna: We need to talk sweetie. Are you free today?
   Noah: Yeah, whats wrong?
   Arianna: I have some bad news, but don’t worry about it.
   Noah Okay… Where do you want to meet?
   Arianna: That old playground where we first met?
   Noah: Odd spot, but wherever you want. Around noon okay?
   Arianna: Of course. I love you <3
   Noah: I love you too! <3
   Right then, I knew that telling him that I was moving was going to be really really hard.

   Just a Little Story
   Chapter 20
   “Goodnight beautiful” Noah told me as he kissed me at the door. Even though the night started out rocky, it ended up being the best night. I walked in the door and found my parents standing looking quite stern in the living room. Aiden was home. Oh boy, something big is going down.
   “Arianna Marie, we need to talk” my dad said sternly
   “Is everything okay daddy?” I asked
   “Kind of… Well, my company is opening a new branch in London, and my supervisor wants me to be the leader of the new branch. So I wanted to let you know that we are going to be moving once your semester ends in January.” He said. No. no no no no no no! This could not be happening! My life finally is going according to my plans and I have to pack up and try all over again?
   “Dad! You can’t be serious! Can’t you just say no?”
   “I could, but then I would get fired and have no job.”
   “But… Mom! What about your work? You love your job don't you? Are you okay with dad decididng that we are moving across the ocean?”
   “It isn’t ideal sweetie, but it is a necessary adjustment that our family needs to make,” She said
   “What about Aiden? Is he coming?”
   “No, because I live on campus, I can just stay here,” he said
   “But… I can’t just leave behind my friends and my boyfriend and leave!”
   “Yes you can and you will!” My dad said, his voice raising.
   “I hate you all!” I yelled as I ran up the stairs. I had to get out of here. I changed out of my dress and into more practical clothes. I packed some essentials such as my computer, iPod, cell phone, clothes, makeup, and flat iron in a bag. I stormed back down the stairs and heard my mom say,
   “Where do you think you are going young lady?”
   “To spend what time I have left here with my friends, and Noah! I will be seeing p-l-e-n-t-y of you for the rest of my legal childhood. Trust me, I am so out of here when I can legally be on my own! See later.” I walked out of the front door and broke down. I ran down me street; I don't know where my feet were taking me, but they seemed like they know exactly where they were going. Finally they stopped and I looked up. I was standing at the swing set in the park. I used to play here all of the time with Sarah, Catherine, and Julia when we were in kindergarten. But something else happened here… Oh yeah! This is where I met Noah for the first time. I was in 4th grade and he was in 3rd. Andrew and Louis were putting dirt down the back of my shirt and worms in my hair. Noah came over and told them to get away from me. Then he helped me shake the dirt off of myself, and picked the worms out of my hair. Apparently my feet wanted to remind me of the good times. I sat down on the swings and just thought for hours and hours. I had to make these last few months here unforgettable.

    Just a Little Story
    Chapter 18
    NOAH’S POV
    Mikayla texted me three months ago telling me that we need to talk, in person. So I told her to talk to me at the black and white dance. That was the biggest mistake of my life.
    Arianna left to go to the bathroom, so I saw my opportunity to talk to her. I would pull her aside somewhere no one could see us (and start rumors), and talk about whatever she wants to talk about and be back with Ari before she notices. I searched for Mikayla all around the gym. I found her with the senior football captain. Figures.
    “Hey, so you wanted to talk right?” I told her dryly.
    “Yeah, lets go,” she said after giving her date a big sloppy saliva filled kiss. We walked out of the gym and tried to find a private place to talk, the janitors closet worked, so we both shuffled into there. I turned on the light. “Okay,” she started. “So, I’m like not the kind of person who like apologizes as you know, but I wanted to say sorry for how I ended things. It was really awful, and after that hockey player dumped the same way after he found me making out with the football captain, and that I slept with that 19 year old guy from college, I realized what I did to you was wrong. All you ever were was nice to me, and you loved me. You really do deserve better than me. I’m all about partying with a bunch of guys and never really settling down with just one person right now, where as you were looking for just one. Arianna is perfect for you, I really do wish you two the best.” She told me sincerely.
    “Thanks Mikayla. That really means a lot that you wanted to tell me that in person.” I guess that was a pretty good apology, especially coming from her. Her logic was twisted at times, but I guess that its okay.
    “Good by Noah,” she gave me a small kiss on the cheek. I turned out the light and opened the door.
    “NOAH!” I heard. Oh no. This is not how this was supposed to happen. Boy was I in for it now, I listened to her go on with out interrupting her. “What the hell is this?!? I go to the bathroom for 5 minutes and I come out and find you coming out of a janitors closet with another girl, no, not just another girl, but your ex-girlfriend. Well, You know what, now, you are in the presence of two ex-girlfriends, good bye.” As I watched her walk away from me, I felt myself break down. What have I done? I just lost the girl that was my everything. I started crying my eyes out. She broke my heart.
    “I’ll be right back” Mikayla said. Running after Ari. I just sat there and cried.

    Chapter 17
    “Arianna, wait up. I know I am the last person that you want to talk to right now, but let me explain please.” I heard Mikayla yell as she ran after me.
    “What the hell do you want to say to me, ‘hahaha I got him back, sorry sucker’?” I asked as I stopped. She caught up to me and said,
    “No, really, I am sorry, but this is a misunderstanding. Let me explain. About three months ago I texted him and told him that I wanted to talk in private because I had something to tell him. All I did was apologize to him for the way that I ended it, and then I said goodbye, and we walked out. That's where you came in.”
    “Please Mikayla, try to explain the kiss mark on his cheek?” I told her
    “That was my way of saying my last good bye to him. Please. Though he is my ex-boyfriend, he shouldn’t be yours too. He loves you more than life. He is sitting in that hallway sobbing. Yes sobbing. How many guys do you know that get emotional very often? He is a keeper. I was lucky to have him and unfortunate to lose him. His heart just shattered. Please go fix it. I can tell by the fact that you are crying that your heart just shattered too. You two need each other, whether you like it or not.” As much as I may not like her, I think she is right. She gave me a hug and went back inside after saying “its your choice, I hope that you pick wisely.” When I turned back to look at her, she was already most of the way back inside. I stood there in the cold and though for a bit. Then, I made my decision.

    Just a Little Story
    Chapter 16
    The speakers blared: Shawty had them apple bottom jeans (jeans), Boots with the fur (with the fur), The whole club was looking at her, She hit the floor (she hit the floor), Next thing you know, Shawty got low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low.
    Them baggy sweat pants, And the Reebok's with the straps (with the straps), She turned around and gave that big booty a smack, (hey), She hit the floor (she hit the floor), Next thing you know, Shawty got low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low. When the song finished I was exhausted.
    “Noah baby, I am going to run to the bathroom and freshen up a bit, I’ll be back in 10?”
    “Alright, I’ll try to keep myself amused!” he laughed and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I walked into the ladies room and used the bathroom. When I finished I wiped the sweat off of my face with a paper towel and then put a little bit of powder on to eliminate the shine. I put on some lip-gloss. I didn’t look as bad as I thought, so I figured I’d just head back to see Noah early. I walked out of the bathroom and headed back towards the gym. I could hear the music and I felt myself getting in the zone again. But, the music wasn’t the only thing I heard, I heard the sounds of a girl and a boy coming from the janitors closet right by the gym entrance. Oh boy, I thought some couple is having a good time. Right before I walked by it, the door opened and Mikayla walked out, closely followed by, Noah!!
    “NOAH!” I screamed. I looked at him in disbelief. He had a single kiss mark on his cheek. Oh he was so dead. “What the hell is this?!? I go to the bathroom for 5 minutes and I come out and find you coming out of a janitors closet with another girl, no, not just another girl, but your ex-girlfriend. Well, You know what, now, you are in the presence of two ex-girlfriends, good bye.” I didn’t wait for a reaction, or an explanation, I just walked out to the parking lot, crying my eyes out. He broke my heart.

    Just a Little Story
    Chapter 15
    I heard the doorbell ring, and I knew it was him. I had just finished my hair and makeup so I could now put my dress on without the fear of ruining it. I slipped it on; I loved the way it made me feel. It was the traditional little black dress. It was form-fitting without being too revealing, short, but not showing things it shouldn’t, and it was strapless, but stayed in place without slipping around. The black and white dances usually involve a lot of jumping, so when I tried on the dress before I bought it, I jumped around the fitting room. Everyone thought I was nuts, and a woman from the store told me that she understood that I was excited about the dress, but to please calm down. I laughed a lot when I got in the car to go home. I grabbed my purse and threw in some lip-gloss.
    “Arianna!” my mother called up the stairs.
    “I’m coming mom! I just finished getting ready.”
    “Noah is very excited to see you,” she said with a slightly mocking tone. Apparently now that we have been dating for three months, she feels a little more comfortable about teasing us. I descended the staircase; Noah’s face when he saw me made my whole night already. When I got to the bottom and took his arm he told me
    “Ari, I knew that you are beautiful, but tonight, you look absolutely stunning!”
    “Thanks baby, you don't look too bad yourself,” I told him giggling
    "Not too bad! This look took me a whole 20 minutes to accomplish!” he said joking and chuckled after he said it. He gave me a sweet kiss then asked, “Do I dare ask how long you have been in front of the mirror?”
    “No, you don't,” My dad answered for me as he walked into the room.
    “Hi daddy,” I said giving him a kiss on the cheek.
    “Alright you two, Let me take some pictures of you then you can go. Your mom is driving you both, right Noah?”
    “Yes sir, she’s waiting outside”
    “I’ll try to hurry this along then, I don't want to cut into your special night.” He snapped off some quick pictures and then we left. As we were pulling out of my driveway, I thought this is going to be the best night of my life! I should have know better.

    Chapter 12
    “Noah, please listen to me!” I yelled as I ran after him. “It’s not what it looks like. Please, Noah, stop and come back. Let me explain!” He continued his way up the stairs and into the parking lot. I kept going after him. Finally he stopped and put both hands behind his head, spinning slowly, thinking.
    “Ari, what the hell do you want me to think. I look down after being gone for less than five minutes and see you with another guy. Can I tell you something about that guy; he is my best friend from camp. And don't let his nice eyes and accent fool you, he has broken more girls hearts than I can count on both my hands. But he isn’t the problem. Can I even trust you anymore? Did you even wait a minute while I was gone before you were all over other guys?” He yelled he was clearly really upset. I walked up to him and put my arms around him. He shoved me off. “No, don't think that you can give me a hug and a sweet smile and everything will be alright.” My eyes filled with tears.
    “Noah, listen to me! That's not what happened at all! He approached me! He kissed my hand, and I told him to go away because I had a boyfriend, then he kissed my cheeks. Please! And if you two are such good friends, why don't you call him and ask him. He will tell you the same thing! I still love you, even if you don't love me.” He looked at me, and I could see the disappointment in his eyes. “Please call him?”
    “Fine”
