I believe he has the potential to be an amazing boyfriend;
all it would take to start things off would be either a simple message sent over Facebook, or possibly a handwritten note - he'd tap me on the shoulder in the hallway and hand it to me before walking away to meet up with his friends. I'd unfold it twice, the paper still warm from sitting in his pocket for two hours. The note would ask me if I wanted to go to Starbucks with him that Friday after school (yes!), with his phone number scrawled at the bottom in his signature tiny handwriting, requesting me to text my answer. From there we'd text all week, leading up to our first date - we'd each get Frappuccinos (maybe even share one together) and just talk about each other, our lives and our families, our interests and life goals, and just everything. After that, the direction our relationship takes I won't try too hard to imagine - I'd rather let most of it be a surprise - but there's some elements in it that I can come up with just right now, such as him letting me borrow his hoodie to wear throughout the school day. When I'd try to return it to him at dismissal, he'd yell across the hall that I should just keep it for the night and bring it back tomorrow. I'd sleep with it on, or at least with it next to me, and listen to the happiest songs I could find as I fall asleep. He'd show me his iPod, with all of his favorite songs on it - he'd explain to me about his love for The Beatles and whatever else. We'd go out for Chinese food on a Saturday night, and maybe even see a movie. Eventually, he'd invite me over to his house to meet his parents, and I'd have some sort of intelligent discussion with them, and they'd give me pointers on my Ivy League dreams. They'd let me stay over for dinner, and after that I'd go play Rock Band with him and his sisters until my parents arrive to pick me up. They'd talk with his parents for about a half-hour once they arrive, and in the car they'd congratulate me on finally finding such an amazing guy to be with for my high school years. I'd be an amazing girlfriend, too - maybe, I'd even attempt to save up money for him to use towards a new phone, one that won't break when it's dropped on the carpet. Despite his friends' protests, he'd offer to sit with me at lunch sometimes, and he'd defend me whenever they say anything negative towards me - or rather, towards us. My friends, however, would be so happy for me - they'd smile almost as big as I would as I explain to them stories about our relationship - but I'd leave out most of the details, so they could be kept just between him and I. We'd go on at least one double date with my best friend and her boyfriend, possibly to an arcade where we could all play games together, and where our boyfriends could win prizes for us - they'd aim for the giant Spongebob dolls, but they'd have to settle on plastic bracelets that me and my best friend show off as much as we can.
