The Boy Next Door
Introduction
I remember running as fast as I could, with his hand in mine. The wind smelled of sweet roses and the sky was painted with fluffy white clouds. We were laughing and smiling as we danced across the green fields. We were best friends, we always were. I looked at him and smiled,as he turned and looked at me. He was beautiful as the sun reflected the mesmerizing blue color of his eyes. Every time I looked into them I saw friendship, I saw compassion, and who knew that 15 years later, all of that would change.
My name is Kelsey and I am 23 years old. I currently live in Florida with the love of my life. What’s his name you ask? Well that you will find out, but not until later.
Some say love is the richest thing life has to offer, others say its friendship. But me? I believe that true love and true friendship go hand in hand. You can’t have friendship without love, and you can’t love without friendship. While love may open the heart, friendship opens the eyes, so wouldn’t it be easiest to have both open? You see, the only problem is when the person who opens your eyes to the world and the person who opens your heart to their soul are two different people. Another problem is when you think you’re in love the two different people at the same time.
That’s what happened to me, well sort of. Let me start from the beginning ….
