Remedy
Chapter 2
I woke up the next morning, the sun shining bright in my eyes. First day at St. Malroys hospital. I pushed the sheets off the the side of my bed, and hopped out, putting on a pair of blue denim shorts and a purple tanktop that flowed just past my waist. I put my hair up in a pony tail and went downstairs to eat breakfast. Unlike usual, I didnt smell any breakfast coming from the kitchen. I looked down at the empty table and looked back up and gave my mom a confused glance. She just turned away. Then I remembered the events that took place last night. I let out a short sigh and pulled out the eggs from the refrigerater. I cooked them and took a seat outside on the back deck. the birds were singing happy songs while I couldnt be any less happy. My mom wasnt talking to me and now I have to work at a stupid hospital. I cleaned my plate and walked in the house, putting my dish in the sink. I grabbed my purse and walked out the door after saying goodbye to my mom. I got no reply from her. I stepped outside once again and the breeze blew my pony tail in my face as I swiftly pulled open my car door, taking a seat and letting the warmpth of my car devour me in sweat. I drove away from my house and started my 45 minute car ride to the hospital.

I pulled open the double doors to the hospital and a blast of cool air greeted me when I stepped inside.
"Katie Hepler." I said to the lady at the front desk, waiting for my volunteer pass to be handed to me.
"You'll be in room 327" She said to me with a gental smile.
"Thank yuo. I said before walking off. I stepped inside the elevator and pressed number three. I waited patiently until I heard a ding. I stepped out and walked down the long hallway. I looked to my rigt.
"319..." I mumbled to myself as a passed the doors. "321...323...325...ahhh." I said. "327." I lightly knocked on the door or the room.
Ugh. I though to myself. I'll probably be helping some kid get their juice box because they have a broken arm. I sighed and walked into the room. But instead of a cast, I was treated with a bald little girl with a smile on her face.
