All the Years
im trying hard to fight back my tears
as i remember all the years
starting as a kindergartner, excited for school,
not caring whether or not i looked like a fool
first grade was frantic, friendly, and fun
having a good time while getting some work done
second grade was learning; third grade was too
spelling and math the whole day through
fourth grade came time to become a writier,
each word, each essay, became a little but brighter
fifth grade was science, oh, science galore!
each new rock and animal we had to explore
sixth grade came and we felt so old
but there were so many things for us to unfold
seventh grade seemed to go by so fast
projects and essays, but the year surpassed
eighth grade, so many things going on
graduation was the one thing to look upon
graduation day was weeks in sight
pictures and parties, all adding to our delight
walking in our gowns, the end came at last
i was finally seeing how the years had passed
good times and bad, flashing before my eyes
i cant even imagine; im gunna miss you guys
its the end of our years, time to move on
but all the good memories will never be gone
im trying hard to fight back by tears
the good times and bad of all the years
all mine
