alright, well, i have to be honest here and i will say that i haven't really been through things like that in my life, especially with my dad, but, i can give you suggestions. seeing as you have cut all ties with him, im assuming you don't live in the same house as him? as you mentioned, he wrote letters to you apologizing for the way you feel, and im sorry, but htats just not right, (don't think im insulting your father here, but, its not right). maybe you could write him a letter? and just be like "listen pops, im not gonna apologize to you for the way i feel, and neither should you. if your gonna apologize at all, make it for something you did wrong, k, bucko?" now, you obviously don't have to use those words exactly, because, that might not go over to well.. and i don't know you, and i don't know your dad, so i cant say how he will react, or of that take on problems will really be effective. as for the friends, well, i have kind of been there. now, this is going to sound soooo cheesy here, but, maybe you shoal stalk to them? individually, i mean. because all together in a group might not be too good. now, i have 7 or so best friends who i surround my self with, and they are wonderful people, and i respect them. and i've been close with 1 of them for 11 years, and 2 for 6 0r so years, so we have been through a lot, and i have learned that large talks don't always work out. and, this is also going to sound corny, but, if your friends are treating you that way, then (and i hate to say this, it makes me sound like a self help book) maybe their not your real friends. and if some of them do respect heat you have to say, then, these are the people you want to surround yourselves with. reply
