“Just an Ordinary Day”
Part 2
So it was a nice sunny day, and I woke up to a loud noise coming from the kitchen. I got up and slipped on my bath robe and walked out the door and down the stairs. My aunt Morgan was in the kitchen with Pat. They were making pancakes and pat had dropped the eggs on the floor. The eggs were everywhere. I got a rag and helped my aunt pick up the mess.
“So have we figured out arrangements yet? For what’s going to happen?” I asked my aunt.
“Liz it’s complicated we’ll talk about it later, go back to bed you look so tired. You were up so late last night” my aunt replied.
I stood up, rinsed out the rag and walked over to the couch. “Its complicated?” I thought what is that suppose to mean. I wanted to know what was going on and I dint want to wait till later to find out.
I turned on the TV and lied down. It had been a week sense the whole thing happened, and everyone was still so un settled and confused.
My aunt had basically always been like my second mom, my sister and best friend all in one. She had lived with us for years and recently just moved out to live with her boyfriend and his kids. She had one daughter named Maggie and she was 5, she to was just like a little sister to me. I knew my new living arrangements were going to have to do with something with Morgan but I dint know just how. Maybe she would move back into our house, maybe she would let us be and just take care of things with out really living here. Honestly I had no clue what would happen.
Lexy walked in the door.
“Whats up Fam?” she asked while plopping down next to me on the couch.
Lexy had been my Best friend ever since I could remember. Our dads worked together so we were introduced as kids. We shared the same birthday, and had really not too much in common. But what can I say they say opposites attract. We both loved to do a lot of the same things though so we always had so much fun when we were together witch was basically everyday. I was the more out going one, talked to any one, wasn’t shy, loud sort of type. Don’t get me wrong Lexy was loud and out going as well, its just you had to give her a little bit of time to warm up to you, but once she was warmed up she is no longer shy, but very loud. Lexy was about the same height, shoulder length dark brown hair with big blue eyes. She had a nice a body and was very Italian. Two summers ago Lexy and I had spent the summer in Italy having an amazing time together.
“Hey Morgan!” said Lexy
“Hey babe, what have you been up to?” asked Aunt Morgan
“Oh nothing really just hanging out. Wishing summer would come back” Said Lex
“Oh tell me about it” Morgan said and then walked out of the room.
I thought back to the summer. When everything was great. A big happy family living In a nice big house having an amazing time. How so much can change in such little time.
“Hey well I just wanted to stop by, I cant really stay because I got to head to work, but I’ll be back over after” Said Lexy
“Alrighty then” I said
Lexy got up and left. I went upstairs and got on the computer checking up on my face book. I had many new notifications many things just apologizing for what had happened to my parents. I closed the lap top and put my head on it and began to cry. Aunt Morgan came in and put her arm around me telling me that everything was going to be okay. I wanted to stop crying and be strong about it, like I had been in front of everyone but I just couldn’t stop crying. Finally I stopped and Aunt Morgan looked at me and wiped the tears off my face and said “Hey Hun later I want you down stairs around 2 were going to talk about what’s going on. She could tell that I dint want to wait so she looked at me and said “Liz were moving, and far away.” I looked up wanting to say what do you mean, but nothing came out of my mouth just more tears came running down my face and that was the end of the conversation. Until Later.
