Paper Heart
1.
After a few hours of being in the sun, I could feel my skin burning up.
One of the many disadvantages of moving to San Diego was my skin. I was always the tannest out of my friends and I,
but now I'm as white as Edward Cullen.
Anna was as happy as ever with Jet. They were like the couple I wish I could be.
"Hey, Ki, want one?" a boy about six feet tall asked me, holding a Bud
in his hand, shaking off excess water from the cooler.
Well, it's summer, and Mom was at work until about 11 tonight.
I nodded back to him, and slowly got up to take the beer.
I was just enjoying myself and watching everyone have a good July.

It got to about 9 at night, and Anna was drunk.
Her and her boyfriend were bown by the beach making out, and I was hanging out with the boy Jared I talked to earlier.
"So Seattle, eh?" he asked, sipping his drink from a red cup. "Aren't you supposed to be albino?" He asked, sarcastically, as he fixed the beach towel he was laying on.
"I've been out in the sun for a few hours, but don't worry, you could almost mistake me for albino before today." I said, dazing out to the ocean.
He laughed, flashing me this gorgeous smile I never knew he had.
I glanced out to the horizon nearly gone, and saw Anna and Jet walking up to us,
holding hands just like a perfect couple would.
She was so loopy, I hope she'd be able to walk home.
Me and Jared stood up, and said our goodbyes to everyone for the night.
"Hey, Kienna, come here for a sec." Jared asked, shifting towards the sidewalk.
I followed him, curious as ever.
"Hey, I really like you. Can we hang out some other time?"
He has no idea how happy those words rang in my mind.
Even though we just met today, I decided to give him a chance.
"Sure, when would you want to hang?" I asked, looking down at my phone. Mom texted me, asking when I'd he home.
"Tomorrow?" that word caught my attention, and I looked up from my phone.
I nodded yes, and he smiled back at me with his impossibly perfect smile.
"Listen, I have to go, do you-" Before I could finish asking him if he wanted to go for ice cream tomorrow afternoon, he kissed me.
Not my first, but definitely my most passionate.
After about 10 seconds of perfection, he pulled away. "What were you going to ask me?" he asked with the sweetest smile.
"I was just asking if you wanted to walk me home?" I hoped it wouldn't be a burden to him, and of course it wasn't.
"I'd be honored to." he said, trying to make fun of a gentleman.
He linked arms with me, as we walked down the path back to the paved road.
Anna and Jet lagged behind us, talking about some party there was tomorrow.
After we arrived to my house, we hugged goodbye. I was too excited for tomorrow.
