[UNTITLED]
When I got to the party, I felt really out of place. Everyone was dancing and whoever wasn't, was talking to a big group of people. I searched for my friends. Finally, they waved me over from across the room.
When I got over there, they all said "Hey girly!" or some variation of that.
"Hey guys!" I say, forcing a smile onto my face. None of them realize that it's fake.
"Soooooooo, didja see anyone?" Jennie says, winking.
"Nah, I just got here." I turn around to see if anyone catches my eye. Nope, no one.
"Oh, well, Imma go dance, with this really cute guy I found. I think he's gonna ask me to be his girlfriend." Jennie laughs and so does everyone else. "Rach, wanna come?"
"Nah, Imma chill here for a bit. Just to, you know, get a look on who's here." I wink to make myself seem happier than I really am. Inside I am friggin miserable.
"Kay. Be back laters." Jennie saunters off to the middle of the room. There she finds a guy and he asks her something. She flings her arms around his neck and says something back. He kisses her hard on the mouth.
All of my friends started giggling wildly and squealing. My body felt like a seltzer bottle all shaken up. Only one other person made me feel like this. I couldn't bear to say his name. I turned my face away, the tears threatening to come streaming down my face.
"Rachel, aren't they cah-yute together?" squealed Debbie.
"Yeah...Uh...I gotta go." I race through the crowd with tears blurring my vision. I whip open my car door and put the keys in the ignition. I race home. At the last red light, I couldn't take it anymore and I just speed through it. Right as I was about to leave the intersection, a car comes speeding in to me and I blacked out.
