Have you grown tired of spelling and grammar mistakes in every single goddamn story on Witty? Well, look no further! Proper capitalization and relatively clear plot arches can be found here!

Hey y'all, I'm Wish and I'm a writer here on Witty. Yes, my name is actually Wish. My parents were hippies or something... (My friends call me the Fairy Godmother, which is so embarrassing it's almost funny. What do you have if you ain't got humility?) You can call me by my middle name, Kellan. Or "Kell," if ya feel super comfy with me.

Anyway, I'm a sixteen-year-old Jew in the US who believes in rights for all nerds, gingers, and LGBTAQs! Bisexual nerd who's besties with a ginger and proud <3

Dear haters,
If you don't approve of any of the things stated above, there's a simple solution: don't read it. You don't have the right to tell people what they can or cannot do, say, or be. So stick it, and get the hell off my Witty page.

On that cheery note, enjoy my stories! Love y'all!

Edit on 3/19/12: I'm so sorry everyone but my story "R is For Rainbow" has been discontinued. I might start it back up again once I get over the writer's block I've been having for the past month or so in the plot line. I might be starting a new story soon, and will put up a notification to all my loyal and long-suffering follows to let y'all lovelies know when it'll be happening. Thank you so much!

P.S. My profile picture is not of me, but of the sexy and mildly bipolar Eli Goldsworthy -- or should I say Godsworthy -- of Degrassi: Now or Never and associated seasons.  Though I'm an Eli fangirl, I approve of EClaire (Eli and Claire as a couple) because Eli is wild and messed up, and needs lovely, rational Claire to tame him.

I wish I could tell you that I sort of kind of maybe possibly love you.

    All That Glitters Is Gold
only shooting stars break the mold
    Chapter Two
I shift nervously on my feet as I wait for Molly to open the door. I hope her older brother, Gabe, has left already. I don’t want himto be the one who opens the door. Don’t get me wrong— I like him fine. It’s just, well, he’s a little protective. And much bigger than me. I don’t want him to see me coming over when Molly and I are supposed to be alone.
Thankfully, Molly opens the door. She smiles at me and I step inside, kissing her cheek lightly. She looks great, like always. I can’t help but glance at her tight jeans as she turns to close the door, then nervously hope she didn’t notice.
“You brought the movie?” She asks. I nod and hold it up.
    We descend into the basement.
I use the word ‘descend’ because Molly’s basement is incredibly dark when all the shades are drawn It always smells a little strange, like someone tried to cover up the mildew with air freshener. But it’s a good strange, if you can believe that. It’s very different from the way Molly smells: like strawberry lip-gloss and shampoo.
I turn on the television and put in the disc. While it reads, Molly goes back upstairs with the promise of popcorn and soda from the mini-fridge.
It sometimes surprises me how Molly’s house can be so much nicer than mine when I have both parents, and she lives with her older brother—three years out of college—and a little sister still in elementary school.
Not that I’m complaining. I know that Molly misses her parents more than anything. They’re hardly ever home. I’m not sure what exactly they do, but I’ve never met them personally.
I sink into the couch and hear something squeak underneath me. I jump up, and notice the rubber duck buried in the cushion. I laugh, and Molly comes down the stairs with the snacks.
She notices the duck and, mortified, throws it into a closet with almost lightning-quick repulsion. I laugh again, and she blushes furiously as I put the food on the coffee table.
“I told Libby not to leave her toys lying around, but I guess she missed this one…” She sighs, still embarrassed.
I smile. “Molls, you don't have to clean up for me.” I say softly, twirling a lock of her golden-brown hair around my finger. “I like you the way you are.”
She blushes again, this time from happiness. We sit down on the couch and start the movie.
A new chapter! Yay! Sorry it's so late! I've been busy. (Busy being rude to my followers!!) Comment if you guessed where the title came from! (There's a hint under the title if y'all didn't see it)
Y'all can see I've been messing with the fonts and such, trying to make it cooler. Sorry if it's confusing. I think I'll keep this one, though.

    All That Glitters Is Gold
    Chapter One
I open my eyes. There are trees above me, spreading their changing leaves into a canopy. The ground feels strange beneath my feet, sort of springy. Everything looks faded, like a four-year-old used watered-out colors to paint the landscape.
    “Ashtin!” A voice calls gleefully.
I spin around. Molly stands before me in a champagne-colored dress, her sepia curls bouncing around her heart-shaped face.
“I’m so glad you’re here!” She cries, grinning. She races forward and jumps into my arms, touching her lips to my cheek. She smells like roses.
I lean forward for a real kiss, my arms wrapped around her waist, but she wriggles out of my grip and darts away, her dress flowing behind her. “Catch me if you can!” She teases.
I smile and chase after her, my feet hardly hitting the ground. I feel like I’m flying. “Molly!” I call, laughing. “Wait up!”
But she doesn’t slow down. I’m not covering the distance between us very well, and I keep losing her around the corners.
“Molly!” I yell. I stop running. I can’t hear her anymore. “Molly, where are you?” I’m starting to panic. “Seriously, this isn’t funny! Molly!”
She doesn’t answer. The trees are starting to close in, the sky darkening, my voice catching in my throat.
    “Molly!” I scream.
I keep my eyes closed long after I’ve woken up, not wanting to open them and find trees above me. I exhale and tell myself I’m being irrational. To my relief, the Coldplay poster on my ceiling stares back at me.
I wipe sweat from my forehead with the back of my hand and push back my sheets.
I look away when I pass the mirror hanging on my wall. Have you ever had that feeling that someone’s watching you? Like, somehow, if you look into the mirror, you’ll see them behind you, watching you, unmoving?
I shiver and pick up my cell phone. I dial her number and drum my fingers on the back impatiently as it calls. She picks up on the third ring.
    “Yello?”
“Red.” I answer, smiling. It's good to hear her voice.
    “Hi, Ashtin.”
“Are you rolling your eyes right now, Molls?”
She laughs. “Possibly. So what’s up?”
“I just had a really weird dream. You were in it.” I say, and the chill comes back.
“Yeah?” She says carefully, sensing the change in my tone.
“Yeah.” I run my fingers through my hair nervously. I hope she doesn’t think I’m crazy. “We were in this... forest or something. Together. And then you ran away, and I was chasing you, just as a joke. But then you disappeared, and I couldn’t find you. Freaky, right?”
“Freaky.” She confirms. “Well, obviously I’m right here. It was just a dream. So don’t worry, okay?”
    “Okay.” I say quietly.
“Hey, is this really bothering you, Ash?”
“No.” I lie. “You’re right, it was just a dream.”
“Look, why don’t you come over later? Gabe’s taking Libby to a friend’s birthday party at noon. We can watch a movie or something. You can see I’m perfectly fine, and stop obsessing over this dream.”
I smile. “Cool. Does Batman Begins sound good? It’s a little scary.” I warn.
“You just want me to cuddle with you.”
    “Maybe.” I smirk.
“I think I can handle it. I’m a big girl, after all.”
    “Yes, you are.”
“Shut up!” She laughs, and hangs up the phone.
Hey, it’s Wish. I’ve started a new story. As you can see. From this... new... story. Um. Never mind, I think y’all get the message. Enjoy!

    R is for Rainbow
    Chapter 3
    Ashley's POV
    ---
I stare at my wrists. Scratches and cuts go all up and down one arm. I wince as the warm water from the tap sets them on fire again.
It’s not what you think. I just have this really stupid cat...
“I can’t find the band-aids, Ash, where’d you put them?”
That’s my best friend, Nick. We’ve known each other since we were kids. He lives just down the block, but he’s always at my house.
“I don’t know.” I call back, and hear his footsteps come closer again.
Nick leans against the doorway and crosses his tan arms. His blonde hair falls over his brown eyes. Glancing at my wrists, his expression grows concerned, and my heart flips.
Oh, yeah. I’m also in love with him. Did I forget to mention that?
“Those look really bad.” He says, handing me a towel.
I press it on my arm. It stings. “Yeah, I think Arthur’s bipolar or something.”
“Well, what do you expect when you cut off his balls and give him a name like Arthur?” Nick moves to stand next to me, and gingerly takes over with the towel. He’s much more gentle with it than I am. “Here, let me.”
“Thanks,” I say. Even though my pulse is racing, I’ve learned to hide it from him. Sometimes I think he likes me too, but then he flirts with a girl at school, or tells me I’m too shy, or asks why I don’t have a boyfriend, and my hopes die like a wounded animal during hunting season.
“So when do your parents come home?” Nick asks, raising his eyebrows.
I shrug. “Not for another three hours. They’re away at some meeting thing.”
My parents are always working at the local homeless shelter, or having car washes to help abused animals, or reading to underprivileged children. Sometimes I think they’ll never get done saving the world.
“So... an empty house... you, me... you thinking what I’m thinking?” Nick whispers, leaning in until our foreheads touch.
I sigh. I know I’m not thinking what he’s thinking, because what I'm thinking is, kiss me.
    He doesn't.
“I’ll set up the Xbox, you pick the game.” I tell him, glancing at my arm one more time before leaving the room - and Nick - behind.
