And there we were;;
sitting on his bed, working on our english assignment. it was
awkward being at his house, considering we stopped being friends
a few years ago. but even so, i can't say i didn't like it.
he stopped writing and said, just out of the blue,
"why aren't we friends anymore?"
he took me by complete surprise. i didn't know what to say. so i simply said
"because we just gave up trying."
"trying what?"
"Look, you're popular. you've been the football guarterback since i've known
you. you have girls who'd do anything to date you. you're a straight-A student.
to the untrained eye, you're basically the perfect teenage boy. but me? i'm
not popular, i just have my close friends. i'm not beautiful, maybe not even
pretty. i'm not great at sports or anything. i can barely pass the mile
run in gym class. i do alright in school, but i'm no genius. and guys
aren't exactly fighting to ask me out. we were total opposites. i'm not even
sure how what made us friends in the first place. but whatever it was,
wasn't strong enough to last long."
he looked at me seriously for a long time, taking in what i had said.
"I know why we became friends." he finally said.
"Why, then." i asked.
"because on the first day of middle school, when you walked into homeroom,
i almost stopped breathing. you were beautiful. you were wearing those faded jeans
and green tank top. you had you're hair in a ponytail and weren't wearing any make-up.
and you didn't know anyone in our class, but you still just came in and sat down next to me,
smiled, and said "hey, i'm erin, what's your name?" and i could smell your rasberry shampoo
and see the friendship bracelet on your right arm. and right at that moment, i knew."
"..knew what?" i asked, amazed.
"Right at that moment, i knew, that you were the girl i wanted to be
in my life forever <3

today i was an amusmant park with my school,
and i saw a hot guy.
so i pulled out a sharpie,
walked over to him,
and said,
"can i test my sharpie on you?"
he shrugged so i took his arm,
wrote my number on it, and walked away.
i got a text a few minutes later saying,

her boyfriend had been cheating on her...
she brought all his clothes
& things that he left at her house
& as soon as he sat down at his table,
she stood behind him & gave him one kiss.
she took his milk,
& he thought nothing of it.
then she poured it on his head
& threw all his stuff at him.
& THAT is how a real breakup is done.

There is something
about your smile
that, when I look at it, I cannot look away.

Don’t you ever have that desire
to just crawl into someone’s arms?
To rest your head onto their shoulder
and just stay there for the longest time.
To have their arms wrapped around you
and your arms around their waist and
just pull their body closer to yours.
To feel the warmth of their body,
the beating of their heart.
To entwine your legs with theirs
and to keep each other’s feet warm.
To have someone so close to you
that their scent becomes one with yours.
To be whispered sweet nothings into your ears.
To have every inch of your skin touching theirs.
To be loved emotionally and physically in the most innocent way.
To be held together by someone,
preventing you to shatter into pieces.
I think everyone could use some of that.

Cheating is not a mistake,
Cheating on someone is not a mistake,
it’s a dec i si on.
A person that cheated could make up bullsh!t excuses
all they want saying that it was just a mistake
but it really wasn’t.
If you knew things were going to get out of hand,
you should’ve backed off right at that point.
Instead you took the risk and made the decision
of hurting the person who loved you the most.
If you were cheated on, don’t ever take that person back.
You deserve so much better..

You wouldnt notice if someone really wanted to die or not.
You wouldnt notice that when you look away from them they stop smiling. You dont notice the way they become more controlled. Their laugh is controlled, Their smile even smaller, fake. Maybe every once in awhile you will catch them with this sad distant look in their eyes. You will notice how they seem to just stare into nothing, like their alone and completley gone. You probably won't notice the way the slowly start to distant themselves, they don't say as much. They stop telling you about themselves. Maybe they make up excuses saying "Sorry I'am busy" or "No I'am a little tired" and you will believe them. You will make a joke that tears them, but they will laugh it off. Every time. You may say something on accident "maybe you should kill yourself" and they will laugh that off but inside they feel like you actually meant it. No matter what, thats what they think. Maybe if you paid more attention. Would you notice how their skin became more covered up? They're wearing jackets when its clearly hot out. Their hands are constantly pulling the sleeves down more, trying to cover up their fingers to. They just dont want to be seen, but its so subtle. Maybe you compliment them, their answers become shorter. Just a simple "Thanks". Of course they dont believe it, they think their all lies. Even though they say it with a smile on their face, watch out for that empty look in their eyes. Just pay attention to them. It's nearly impossible to spot someone with self-hate, unless you're one of them.
But just never look away.
