Chapter 4
Skylar's Point of View
*2 Years Ago*I woke up on the floor of a bedroom, fully clothed in sweatpants and a t-shirt. I was confused, how did I get here, and into these clothes? My head was killing me. I decided to go downstairs. I found Jordan, Kenzie, and Connor sitting at a darkwood table in the dining room. Kenzie was wearing almost identical clothes to mine. They all looked worse than I did."Where's Brian and Logan?" I asked."We let Logan sleep a little longer and Brian is making us breakfast." Connor answered.I yawned and took a seat next to Kenzie. Brian soon came in with pancakes for everyone, and I was glad he did. Now that I think about it I was starving. We all dug in except for Kenzie."Kenz, what's wrong? Why aren't you eating?" Brian asked, concerned."Just not hungry." She answered.We all just forgot about it and continued eating until a hungover Logan joined us. She took a seat next to Connor and put her head down on the table."How hard did you party last night baby girl?" Connor laughed and kissed her head. She just moaned in reply."Brian, can I use your shower?" I asked."Yeah go for it, you know where"Yup" I said and hopped up the stairs.It felt so good to wash the sticky beer off my skin. I put on my dress from last night and walked back downstairs."So how about we all go home, get dressed, and walk the boardwalk and maybe hit the beach afterwards?" Connor suggested.We all liked the idea and then Logan chimed in, "We can have a bonfire tonight at my house too!" We continued to agree and then we went our separate ways to get dressed.When I got home I found a note on my kitchen table.It read, "Skylar, we hope you didn't forget we were going away for the week, you will probably be out late so we'll already have left. Here's $200 so you can take care of yourself. Love, mom & dad"I didn't think much of it, my parents did stuff like this all the time. I swiped the $200 off the table and ran upstairs to get dressed. I threw on a floral top with a white bikini underneath. I got on a pair of denim shorts and a watch. I decided to straighten my hair, it was still a bit damp but I did it anyways. I applied my makeup lightly. I slipped on my white flip flops and grabbed my sunglasses before running out the door.To my surprise Jordan was waiting outside for me. "Oh, hi!" I said, holding back a smile."Hi, I thought we could walk to the boardwalk together, If that's okay." He said."Yeah it's perfect.""Great." He said, giving me one of his winning smiles.We started to walk, "Um, I just have a question. Last night...We didn't, um..." I trailed off."Oh no no, don't worry. Once you passed out I changed you into some of Brian's sweats and put you in an empty bedroom.""Oh." I quietly said. "Thank you.""For what?""Not doing anything to me when I was sleeping. I mean...""I know what you mean, and don't worry, I would never hurt you like that." He told me.I just smiled up at him and he grabbed my hand. I turned away so he couldn't see me blush. It felt like we were walking for hours.When we finally reached the boardwalk it was already 6 o'clock. We met up with everyone. Brian has his arm protectively around Kenzie, there was no surprise in that. Logan and Connor obviously liked eachother, but they were both too scared to admit it."So, shall we go?" Jordan said.We all walked around and Connor pointed to a roller coaster, "Do you guys wanna go on that?" He asked.Everyone agreed except for me. I just stood there with a fearful expression on my face.Jordan noticed and chuckled, "Don't worry Sky, I'll hold your hand.""No, I can't do it.""Come on, you can hold me as tight as you want and I'll be right there with you." after Jordan doing some serious convincing I finally agreed to go on. While we were being strapped in Jordan turned to me, he said, "Remember, you can hold me as tight as you want."I gave him a small smile and grabbed his hand. The ride started to go up and I gripped his hand tighter. Up, up, up, down! Everyone started screaming and I was having the time of my life. I loved Jordan for making me go on this ride.Once we got off Jordan asked me, "How did you like it?""It was amazing! Thank you so much for making me go on." I answered.We walked around some more and Jordan won me a stuffed teddy bear."I love it!" I told him as he handed it to me."Anything for you, Sky." He said.I blushed and this time I didn't try to hide it. Instead I got up on my tippy toes and kissed him. It was a long, romantic kiss. I hadn't been this happy since I was with Chris.By the end of the night everyone was happy, I had Jordan, Kenzie had Brian, and we finally got Connor and Logan to admit that they liked eachother so much. Everything was going perfectly.
