okay, so this short-story thing popped into my head, and i decided to just write it.(: enjoy.
her
standing in front of her mirror, she takes a good look at herself. her tears have created trails down her face. her eyes, red and bloodshot, lead into her soul. she's broken. she feels the tears coming again. she weeps silently to herself as the tears come uncontrollably. she can't breathe. her throat tightens up as she gasps for air. she drags herself onto her bed and lets her thoughts wander aimlessly through her empty mind. we were best friends, and we were in love. why did this have to happen? her thoughts come to a halt. she stands up and walks into her bathroom, and opens the shower door. she's in a daze. as she grabs the razor, her stomach rises into her throat. no one was home. no one could stop her. she took one final look at herself. she mouthed the word goodbye to herself in the mirrior. she brought the razor to her wrist. "jenna!" she heard a familiar voice scream outside the open window. "jenna. i- i love you." the words stunned her.
him
sitting in his room, he stares at the wall. he doesn't know what to do with himself. his body feels weak and limp. he takes a deep breath. he shoots up from his bed and flies down the stairs. once he gets outside, he grabs his skateboard. he doesn't know or care where he's going, he just needs to get away. he rides down the empty road, as summer air floats around him. he picks up his speed. he comes across cloverdale park, the park that they would always go to get away from everything else. he hops off his skateboard and stares at the barren park. he slowly walks over to the empty field, his feet dragging across the moist ground. he feels tears stinging his eyes. his mouth starts to quiver. "GODDAMNIT!" he screams as he falls to the ground. he pounds his fist into the earth as his tears keep falling. "I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!" his body gives out as he lies on the ground, staring at the moving clouds. everything around him stops. he wipes away the tears and runs to his skateboard. he knows where he's going now. the world is spinning around him and he flies down the road. he finally turns into her driveway, and to the side of her house where her bedroom window is. his voice is shaky and out of breath as he calls up to her. "jenna!" he pauses and waits for a response. a tear rolls down his cheek. "jenna. i- i love you."
jenna drops the razor to the ground. she runs to her bedroom window to see tyler standing outside. her heartbeat picks up. she doesn't know what to do. she's frozen. her eyes are locked onto his. tyler doesn't let her break free of his gaze. jenna feels like she's in a trance. she breaks free of his eye contact, and makes her way outside. tyler's hands are shaking as he waits for her to come outside. as she emerges, his breathing quickens. he runs to her. jenna stands still, not knowing what to do. she looks down at the ground. "jenna. look at me." she keeps her eyes locked on the ground. "goddamnit jenna LOOK AT ME." tears start pouring out of his eyes once again, this time uncontrollbly. she looks into his eyes. "jenna. i should have never hurt you the way i did. i should have never let you go." he put his hands on either side of jenna's face. she could feel his hands trembling. she tooks his hands and put them around her waist. "i love you" she choked out. she pressed her lips against his. butterflies flew around in both of their stomachs, like they were performing a chereographed dance. "please tyler," she whispered, "please don't ever leave me." her looked straight in her eyes. "never."
