rough,unknown,waters
chapter one~
"C'mon Jade, you'll be late for school, " my mom said her back to me, she was doing the dishes from breakfast. "Okay mom" , I said grabbing my lunch and hugging my dad, "Don't forget that after school you have to help me with my work when I get home, "he said, I nodded and grabbed my brothers arm and dragged him into my car. My brother was a year younger than me, 10th grade, and his name's Connor. I slipped my sunglasses on and started the car, it was always sunny here in California, and hot. Once we got to school my brother got straight out of the car, so much for family.
"Hey, " Sofia said, she was my best friend, and had been since 2nd grade, "Hi," I said smiling and grabbing my bag as I got out of the car.
We walked into the school and I saw people pointing and laughing at me, I just ignored them, anyway it was normal since I got bullied about everyday.
"Hey guys, " Cameron said, he was my other best friend, he came up from behind us and went next to Sofia. The thing was that Sofia liked Cameron, and he liked her back, but neither of them wanted to make the first move, and neither knew the other one liked them.
I went to my locker and got my books for my next class, History, we were learning about the Civil War, fun.
I came into the classroom, it was the only class I had with none of my friends, I sat down in the back of the class. My teacher, Mrs.Smith came around the class to give us our grades from yesterdays test, "Many of you did great but some of you need to try working better for the test next week, remember it counts for 30% of your grades average, "she said handing me my paper, I got a D+.
My mom is going to kill me.
Mrs. Smith started talking about how the solders families lived, I looked outside the window, and my mind just went to him, my crush, his names Kevin, I looked around to see where he was, I guess he skipped today.
I opened my notebook and started doodling some flowers when the door opened, "Sorry I'm late Mrs. Smith, " Kevin said, I couldn't stop a smile that crept onto my face, then I noticed, the only open spot was next to me.
"Hey, "he said to me as he sat down, I felt the butterflies in my stomach, I smiled then got back to my doodling, even though I was freaking out inside.

"See ya' later, " Sofia said as I got into my car, Connor slipped in right after that, "We gotta go pick up Stacy (my little 11 year old sister), " I said and started the car. We went and picked up Stacy, and after that we went home.
Once we got home I saw that there was about 4 cars in our driveway, weird.
I got out of the car and we went inside and I saw that all of our relatives were here, and my mom was sitting in the living room crying, "What happened, " I asked, my grandmother came to me and said a soft voice, "Your father was in a car crash, and the doctors did all they could do, " she pulled me into a hug, I felt my eyes water.
Stacy ran into my moms arms crying and Connor just sat down and looked shocked. How could my dad die? He never did anything to deserve this.
I started crying, when the door opened, "Hello, " someone said, and I couldn't believe who it was, it was my uncle, uncle Thomas. He was my dads brother, and he tried ra/ping me when I was 13.
I shivered as he came and gave me a hug, "I am so sorry, "he said looking me in the eye, I looked away.
"Thomas, "my mom said, he came over and gave her a hug, "Hello Hanna, "he said, "I am so sorry, he didn't deserve to pass away."
People kept on coming, I went upstairs to my room and started crying but my mom called me back downstairs. By that time some people had left, "-I have to, I know that Frank would have wanted me to do this, "Uncle Thomas said as I came down, he was talking to my mom, "Hi", I said sitting down next to my mom, she started talking, "Jade, uncle Thomas has kindly offered to stay here awhile to help us. " I nodded but I felt like screaming, no he couldn't be staying here, he tryed to hurt me. "So Stacy is going to stay in your room and he will take Stacy's room. "
I ran upstairs and locked my door, I just sat there on my bed crying, I opened my drawer and found something sharp, how badly I wanted to cut more than I already did, I was about to, when my phone rang, it was Sofia. I grabbed it quickly, "Please come over now," I said crying into the phone, "Okay, I heard what happened and I'm coming, "she said.
I sat down and I heard a knock at my door, "Jade," Stacy said, I unlocked my door and let her come in, she ran into my arms and started crying.
"It's going to be okay," I said, even though I wasn't so sure myself.
Sorry if it may seem really sad now but it'll get happier later on, i promise :)
