Run away, Quickly Hide!
Daddy came home from his midnight ride.
My daddy's alcoholic, he's violent and mean,
but Mommy fell for him because he's handsome and lean.
"Brianna!" he calls, my voice makes me shiver.
Tightly hugging my doll, my lips start to quiver.
He comes up the stairs, he opens the door.
He's been drinking again, this time more then before.
He grabs my hand, pulls me in close to him.
Is the pain finally over? Or is my future still grim?
I look into his eyes, I see anger and hate.
I suppose this isn't, the end of cruel fate.
He picks me up, then slams me down on the floor.
He hits me and kicks me, 'til I can't take no more.
I can't move at all, or he'll start up again.
I have no one to call, no family, no friends
"Stop your crying!", he yells in my face.
His voice is so harsh, my heart starts to race.
I try to stop crying, I try to be quiet.
Then maybe my daddy wont cause such a riot.
I can't see at all, but I hear footsteps coming.
First they start slowly, then they start running.
I feel a sharp pain, in the side of my face.
I let out a scream, as my heart stops it's pace.
Daddy just killed me, with his powerful kick.
and my mommy doesn't care, her heart must be thick.
I now live with God, in a beautiful place.
I have no worries, no fears, just a s m i l e on my face.
