Cutterflies
The Rules are:
1. When you feel like you want to cut, take a marker, pen, or sharpies and draw a butterfly on your arm or hand.
2. Name the butterfly after a loved one, or someone that really wants you to get better.
3. You must let the butterfly fade naturally. NO scrubbing it off.
4. If you cut before the butterfly is gone, you’ve killed it. If you don't cut, it lives.
5. If you have more than one butterfly, cutting kills all of them.
6. Another person may draw them on you. These butterflies are extra special. Take good care of them.
7.Even if you don’t cut, feel free to draw a butterfly anyways, to show your support. If you do this, name it after someone you know that cuts
or is suffering right now, and tell them. It could help.

So you're about 10?
4th, 5th, 6th grade?
Honey, those were the best years of my life.
I was honest, innocent, and I believe in Santa Clause,
and the tooth fairy, and happily ever after.
I believed no guy would ever hurt me.
I was young, I was innocent.
And now I look, and all these little kids have cell phones.
Facebook.
And I don't understand why they want to grow up so fast.
Because being young, being yourself.
Well, that's where it was at.
I didn't have to worry about drama, gossip and mean girls.
I didn't have to worry about looking good for boys.
Because they were all my best friends even without
makeup, without designer's clothes, or even without
combing my hair.
Why try growing up fast?
You're young. So make it last.

I'm always torn between wanting to tell
my story to someone and let them know exactly
what's in my head, or keeping it to myself.
The problem is, being outwardly unhappy and
consistently so it pushes people away, no matter
if they say they'll always listen, there's only
so much your friends can listen to.
On the other hand, to pretend that everything is okay
is to poison yourself from the inside out; it is to ignore who you
are and to lose yourself.
So which is better?
To have friends think your melodramatic, seeking attention
and pessimistic, or to drown in your own mind?

Things to Remember
Everyone feels like everyone else,
just not at the same times.
People are unpredictable.

It doesn’t matter if you have a partner or a bunch of friends.
If you’re lonely then you will feel lonely with or without these factors.
They don’t change it.
They don’t make you feel less alone.
Loneliness doesn’t mean you don’t have people who love you, it just means you don’t feel it. It’s a state of mind, not reality.

It's just that day.
That day where you feel like curling up in a ball,
wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt.
Your hair is up in a bun, you don't have any make up on
and all you can do is think.
Think about what's happening.
Why you're losing your friends.
Why you're not doing your homework.
Why you're not paying any attention in class.
Why you feel like you're going to cry every 5 seconds.
It's just one of those days.
