I am fifteen years old and in the past year,
three of my closest friends have been sexually harassed/assaulted.
If it happens again I should not be held responsible
for any murders I may commit.

My cat was just driving my mom crazy so she tried to lure him up to my room but when he didn’t come she started scratching on my door like SHE was a cat and when I opened the door she was on her hands and knees and she said “Hi I’m your mother and I’m a completely dysfunctional human being” and collapsed on the ground laughing.

I feel absolutely terrible for the children and teachers who lost their lives in CT today.
But I also feel bad for the shooter.
Don't get me wrong, what he did was terrible, tragic, wrong, unnacceptable.
But he was mentally ill and probably suffering extremely.
I mean, can you even imagine going through mental pain that would drive you to that?
I don't understand exactly what drove him to this,
but he lost his life too, to mental illness,
which has claimed so many other lives, even people on this site.
His was worse, so extreme he had to kill others to feel some control in his life.
I wish he could have gotten some help while alive so that he never would have felt the need to do this,
and so the devastating emotional pain could have ended, instead of being passed on to the families of the victims.
Everyone is relating this to gun control, but what about mental health?

I miss my awkward turtle best friend.
The one who loves writing and photography,
who's going to be a journalist,
The girl who watches Law and Order: SVU
and cries during cheesy romance movies
and likes chocolate and ice cream,
who loves going to the ocean,
and makes amazing noises,
and has a ridiculous laugh.
The girl that became an amazing runner
in half the time it took for me to become a good one.
I miss the girl who knew exactly how weird I was and still liked me,
but also still teased me for it.
I miss all that and so much more.
