She Can't Take It Anymore.
She's your average, everyday, teenage girl.
She's smart, she's pretty, she's athletic, she's funny.
She, like every other girl in middle school, fell for him.
Although, he was unlike any other guy she met.
His eyes were gorgeous, his smile, flawless, let me tell you.
They flirted all the time, and everytime, she fell harder.
He showed every sign of interest, he stared, he firted.
Finally, when she was about to take it, everything backfired.
He went out with someone else, not just anyone, a good friend of hers.
She was hurt, she was torn, she was bleeding, she was broken.
It took a long time to fix that mess, a very long time.
She got over him though, and she found someone knew, someone better.
Someone she thought she definitely had a chance with.
She was finally smiling again, a real smile, not a fake one.
She fell hard, but she was uneasy, she didn't want to get hurt again.
He inconciously drew her in, and she willingly took it.
But before her very eyes, he was gone, taken from her.
It was like a replay of her past, happening all over again.
This time, she wasn't able to heal completely, this time,
she wouldn't be able to heal as fast, this time, she took a blow to the chest.
She was hurt, and she was dying, her heart was ripping apart,
the pain was unbearable, she was crying for help, nobody came, nobody heard.
She layed there, on her bathroom floor, door locked, lights out,
humming herself to sleep through the tears. She told herself it'd be okay.
She told herself that she'd make it through this, she told herself,
that she wasn't strong, but she was strong enough to get through this.
She fought, she fought through her tears, and climbed to her feet.
She unlocked the door, and ran outside, she ran for miles it seemed like,
she ran to her favorite spot in the world; the river.
It was already getting dark, and it soon began to rain, an inevitability, it seemed.
She felt at one with the sky, for once, something shared her pain,
With mascara running down her face, her clothes drenched,
she looked up, and she screamed, she screamed on the top of her lungs.
She screamed to nothing in particular if this was all it got,
if this was all it had to try and defeate her. She said that it would take more,
she was going to die before she ever gave up, this was her life,
this was her time, this was her chance, she wasn't going down without a fight.
