   Amy was the only one not to eat. Not like it really mattered with her talking to Mike the entire time.
   Lunch ended and Shannon and Amy parted from the others to go off to algebra together.
   "Amy? Why do you flirt so much? You don't know who he is. Why don't you just talk normally to him?" Shannon worried. "Shanny, you think too much. I mean, seriously. But if you're this worried about me, I'll ease off a little, kay? You're a true friend, Shan," Amy reassured her, smiling. "Alright, Ames. We should come up with better nicknames for each other. That's what best friends always did at my school," Shannon said, changing the subject. "Haha. Alright, How about matching nicknames? We did that at my school. It was always 'sistah' or 'chicky' though. How about 'twinnie?' Or just 'twin?'" "That seems suitable."
   Mike and Sammi walked to English together as Emily tagged along and went to advanced English, one room down. "So, babe, Amy wouldn't stop talking to me and I never got to know anything about you. What do you do? You look real fit," Mike said, eyeing her body. "Um, I run track, hun. And you can lay off, thanks," she said, turning his head to look at the lockers, "I have a boyfriend. " "I don't see him here," he chuckled. "That doesn't mean you have to be a d*ck," Emily spoke up. "Woah, girl! You got some 'tude! I like you," Sammi squealed, giving her a high-five. "Alright. I get it. Whateves. Friends? No more flirtin', aight?" Mike said. "Cool by me. You, Em?" "I guess. Can't hurt, can it."

   "You all seemed to have introduced yourselves. I won't keep you long. All the others have had a chance to meet with me, since they went to the middle school. You are the only five to not. Just know I'm here for you. I'm not going to bore you with freshmen orientation. I know you guys don't care. You can just lounge around in here till about eleven. That's first lunch. I'll be in my office if you need anything."
   "She seems cool," Shannon nudged Amy. "Yeah. I guess. So, what do you do Mike? You seem athletic," Amy flirted, basically ignoring Shannon. As Mike talked all about his football, basketball, and lacrosse career, going to be on all the varsity teams, Shannon turned to talk to Emily and Sammi. "Pfft, boys. Whatever," Shannon scoffed, turning her chair away from Amy. "Yeah, who needs them," Emily said, fitting in. "Riiiight... So, I wanna know more about you guys! I don't know anyone here yet. I'm not on any teams or anything until spring season," Sammi started off, "Shan, can I call you Shan? You look like you play sports. What ya play? Soccer? I mean, that's a pretty big bruise on your hip." "What bruise? Oh that," Shannon said embarrassed, covering her mark, "yeah, soccer. You've got to slow down and get off the sugar, girl! I can barely understand you talking a mile a minute." "Sorry, I get excited when I meet new friends," Sammi answered, pulling at sleeves.
   "Um, it's kinda hot in here, and kinda summer... Aren't you hot?" Emily questioned, noticing her nervousness. "Actually, I'm not. I'm cold. All the time. I'm used to Arizona weather. New York's alright, but it's different than what I'm used to," Sammi explained. "Oh Em Gee!" Amy interrupted, "I'm from Arizona, too! That's so cool! I've been here for a year though, just from Albany to Long Beach in the past month," Amy cheerfully said, turning back to Mike. "So anyway, as I was saying, I'm a cheerleader! Guess I'll be at all you games!"
   Lunch time rolled around and the five headed off together. They all sat at one half of a long table. Mike's teammates and Amy's cheer squad sat on the other half. "Amy, you sure you want to get yourself into that kind of thing? I mean, you don't even know him," Shannon warned her. "I won't rush, trust me. We're all cool."

   Ch. 2
   Amy and Shannon looked they could have been best friends their whole lives. They actually looked like they could be sisters, twins, nearly. They were both tan, had blonde hair and soft green eyes, oddly enough, wearing tight pink shirts and white miniskirts with sandals, and they were thin. Amy a bit thinner than Shannon, but still, that didn't much matter.
   "I've got chemistry first period. Room 215. You?' Amy asked, nudging her schedule at Shannon. "Yeah, me too! Let's see what else we have!" Of the nine classes the girls had, six of them they had together, including lunch.
   The bell rang and homeroom was let out. After entering three wrong rooms and a quick stop by the office for directions, the girls found the guidance office.
   "Glad to know we're not the only ones here," Amy chuckled glancing at Shannon and then at the room with three others sitting in chairs. "Hi! I'm Sammi!" squealed this tall, pale, brunette girl. She was adorable in her long sleeved orange shirt and jean shorts. "Amy. This is Shannon." "Hey," Shannon waved. "Why hello there ladies. I'm Mike. Take a seat next to me," he winked and was obviously flirting. This guy was gorgeous. He had the arms, the abs, clearly shown in his black muscle shirt, the face: bright green eyes, jet black buzz cut hair that fit his face perfectly. "Hehe. Okay," Amy giggled, flirting back. "Uh, I'll take a seat next to Amy. Next to this girl. I'm sorry, I don't think you've introduced yourself," Shannon half-whispered calmly to the cute, shy girl, wearing a yellow tank top and a skirt, sitting practically alone . Which was hard in the small room. "M-Me? Oh, I'm Emily. Sorry, I don't talk much," she seemed to stutter, but smiled.
   "Okay! Well, let's get started," Ms. Tonta greeted as she walked into the room and shut the door behind her. "Let's make this year great, shall we?

   Just kind of an intro to the characters. A little bit of hints, not many. But real stuff starting next chapter ♥

   Prologue
   At the beginning of September, Chessler High was back in session. Five freshmen, all new to the district, had a new life. A blank page was put there, in their lives, for them to start new. Somehow, they couldn't let one thing go. Each had a different secret that they told to no one. No one could ever possibly understand them. Right?
   Ch. 1
   The principal's voice came over the loud speaker, "all freshmen are to report to the auditorium unless otherwise noted." "Sucks for you guys! I get to go to the counselor. I'd rather be there then in the auditorium. I hear there's no air conditioning. *sigh* Oh well, too bad," Amy announced to the entire homeroom. "Actually, I get to go there too," Shannon pointed out to her. "Do you know where it is?" Shannon whispered. "I think so. Let's go together."

   The One Forgotten Ch. 10
   I kept walking and found this little shop on the side of the road. It had the cutest dresses and I had cash on me anyway. As I walked in, little bells rang; and a small Corgi ran up to me, wagging his tail wildly.
   “Why, hello there, darling. Are you lost? No one comes by anymore,” an old woman came out and said to me.
   “I know where I’m going. I was lost a little at first. But I’m okay now. Your shop is so quaint and adorable,” I profess, looking around.
   “Well, if you think it’s cute, go ahead and look at whatever. If you need some help, I’ll be over here, Naomi,” she said turning, heading toward the back room.
   “You said my name… Do I, like, even know you?” I retort out, pretty scared.
   “I’m a psychic, like you. Even if you don’t know it yet, sweetheart,” she calmly states.
   “Oh no, I’m not psychic. I never will be, I never have a clue to anything that’s going on. Ever. You’re just freaking me out now…” I say still worried.
   “Come with me, my dear. I’ll tell you things you may not know even about yourself, but they will be true.”
   She walks over to a little table with two chairs. I sit down in the one across from her and she pulls out tarot cards, lays them out, and asks for my hand. After scanning over my hand, she comes up with a conclusion.
   “You’ve been troubled about who you are. I cannot go as far as to tell you who you are, but I can say, this is not your life. Some event has happened and altered your life, maybe forever. The cards say you will have a struggle. There will be tragedy, but from it you can overcome. They are not specific, but you will be pleased in the end. You will meet a tough decision, whether options have been given to you yet or not. In final, my dear, your hand tells me you are psychic. Not the same way as me, but I warn you to listen to your heart and dreams and most of all, protect those close to you.”
   I felt like running out of there. I was so scared. None of what she was saying sounded true to me. Maybe the first things a little, but maybe I’m just ignorant. I just kept nodding, not even listening. This woman was crazy. Not just because of this, the entire back room was trippy. When she finally stopped talking, I went out to finally get that dress I thought was so cute and left. I thought nothing really more of what she said. Like I said, I didn’t believe it.

   “Alright, well let’s change the subject. I don’t really care what the debate is. Most times it’s pointless,” I say, probably sounding like I’m ticked.
   “Temper, much?” Alissa jokingly asks.
   “Psssh. I have the temper here? Alright. Whatever. So, what I wanted to know is if you guys wanted to go to the beach. After school, ya’kno?” I say.
   “So, by ‘after school,’ please tell me you mean after 6th period lunch,” Tommy whispers carefully.
   “Of course she does, that’s what it always means,” Alissa says. She always has to be so rude.
   The rest of the school day pretty much sucked without Beau there. Swimming on the beach made me feel better. The sun and sand were hot while the water was cool. We were the only ones there, of course. My mind kept returning to what Kiari said, ‘I think the girl is you.’ Was this life even what my life was supposed to be? Does that even make sense?
   “Naomi! I’m done, and school’s out now. We should go for a walk,” Alissa suggests.
   “Alright, that sounds good,” I shout back to her.
   We didn’t know where we were headed. We took a wrong turn somewhere. Nothing looked familiar.
   “Hey losers, want a ride?” it was Alissa’s boyfriend Jason.
   “Hey baby! Love one,” Alissa says giggly, like always.
   “You two go ahead, I’m enjoying the scenery and my mom and Beau probably aren’t home. Could you just tell me how to get to the park and I’ll be ok?” I ask Jason.
   “Uh, just keep going straight to reach Valla Road and take a right. Balance Park will be on the corner about a block up,” he says.
   “Thanks see you later guys,” I say as they drive away.

    I wish we could talk about things. I shouldn't be this happy that you're moving out soon and going to college. I want to see you leave, and I'm hoping when you're gone, I will miss you.     Mom and Dad,
    I love you both. I don't need to write a letter to say how I feel (: I'm so open to you. I tell you what I want to, even if I think you'll be mad. In the end, I know you'll always be there for me. I guess the only thing I haven't told you is I REALLY want to study abroad, and I know my 1st choice college has a program. I want to do it either my senior year, or possibly 1st or 2nd year as undergrad. I want to go to Australia, New Zealand, or Ireland.
