Chapter one
Candace
My name is Candace Buckley, and this is my horrible life.
My hands touched his spiky blonde hair, he was so tall, muscular. The music got louder, the dancing became more fun.
“Candy!” he yelled in my ear
“What babe?”
“ I’m not your boyfriend any more, stop hitting on me, your so drunk cannndy…”
“sush up Kyle, I miss you, I miss you so much, forget Liz come back to me baby!” I kissed his cheek “CANDY?” the music stopped, I turned around to face Liz, my best friend. I gasped, what the heck was she doing at the party?
“what, what are you doing with my boyfriend?” she shouted, everyone turned and stared.
“its, its not what it looks like” Kyle drunkly said, moving my hand away from his shoulder.
"oh really? kyle you seemed to be injoying it" i said leaning to kiss him again.
“Go die candy. Go fall in a deep hole and die.” she shouted. Oohs and ahhs came from the rest of the party.
“Go ahead liz, I was to good for kyle anyways, enjoy my sloppy seconds.” Kyle’s face looked stunned, like a bee stung him a thousand times. I strutted out of the party, all eyes on me and my tight leather skirt.

Liz no longer talked to me, she was thrown off the popularity list in a heart beat, she simply scurried back and hung out with her old chess club friends, the ones I saved her from 3 years ago. I had better friends anyways.
“ I, um, was wondering if you wanted to go out with me...” Tommy said as I walked by.
“ forget it Tommy, you should know I’m better than you by now Hun” I tapped his shoulder, acting kind. “haha!” my group of girls laughed behind me.
“Oh Candy..” Tommy said, sounding sorry. “I just want you to know…”
“what Tom, that you still LOOOVE ME?” I said back.
“no, its that I change my mind, i actually,I want you to die to, you don’t belong on this earth, I agree with liz”
my heart clenched, I felt tears welling up. Tears? Candy doesn’t cry, I am strong.
“ oh poor tommy, stop being so jealous of me, you’ll become popular someday, maybe, actually probably not”
the girls laughed their fake laugh again, right on cue.

“were you drinking last night?” my mom said as she pulled a piece of a beer bottle glass out of my leather skirt that she was putting in the laundry.
“why do you give a-”
“ candy- Candace, Candace Marie, were you drinking last night?” she said in a stern, threatening voice. I walked away.
I’m fifteen, why does she think she can control me?
“Come down here now, or else”
“or else what mommy dearest?” I said in a mocking tone.
“ or else your off to Belle Mont”
“ Ha-ha mom, Belle Mont , like you would have the nerve to get rid of me.” I said slamming my bedroom door. I heard whispers from downstairs.
“Mommy, was Candy always that mean” My seven year old sister asked, shyly.
“Yes Bekah, yes.”
I swallowed down tears, I’m stronger than this, I am.
One month later
“Time to go!” my mom yelled as I packed my bag for my one month stay in Bermuda. I wasn’t so sure why she was sending me on an all paid trip to Bermuda, by myself, but how could I resist a month a away from my mom, dad, and annoying sister? I just couldn’t.
“the taxi is here, I love you” she whispered as she kissed my cheek.
“ew” I wiped off the saliva on my cheek and slammed the door behind me, getting into the taxi.
“you, you will understand” she said waving goodbye.
Understand? Understand what? What was up with her today?
***
I fell asleep in the taxi, the driver tapped my leg.
“Were here hun.” I opened my eyes, there was no airport in front of me, no “flight to Bermuda” sign. No, nothing like an airport, at all. It looked more like a school. I squinted my eyes to read the word, Belle Mont Boarding School. “what the heck am I doing here?”
“this is the address your mom gave me Ma’am.” the taxi driver said back.
“well this is the wro-” my car door opened.
“ Candace Buckley?” a girl with short black hair asked me.
“yeah, actually its candy.” I said confused, still in the car
“Welcome to Belle Mont, I’m student council president, and part of the welcoming committee, my names Amanda. You will enjoy this school a lot, your mother was super excited to send you here.” I stared at her in disbelief. My family tricked me, there was no Bermuda, it was all a trick to get me to go to boarding school, with girls just as mean as me.
I pounded my mothers cell phone number into my phone. I’m going to kill her.
“We are sorry, the line you are trying to reach has been disconnected.” my mouth dropped in shock. Disconnected? Are you freaking kidding me? I have to stay at this school, without getting in touch with my parents to come pick me up? What the heck.
“Come on Candy!” your roommates just arrived, they seem a lot like you…”
“a lot like me?” I spat.
“never mind” she smiled getting my bags out of the taxi.
Then I stood up, and stared at the large campus in front of me, waiting for me to come in and own it, boarding school couldn’t be that bad… or could it?
That is how I, Candy Buckley, Ended up in Boarding school. Wish me luck.
