WritingIsMyLove.
No, Writing isn't actually my true love.
My heart belongs to someone else♥

    Chapter Eight
There's been no sign of Kristen for three days. The house was silent, even between me and dad.
I guess that he was mad at me for telling Kristen about Tabatha.
I walked downstairs in my blue and white polka-dotted footie pajamas into the kitchen. Dad was standing there, and there was no breakfast sitting on the Island for me.
My dad gave me a cold look, like he does everytime he sees me now. "Poptarts." He pointed towards the spinny cabniet.
"Okay then." I grabbed a box of Blueberry Poptarts. How does my own dad not know I'm allergic to blueberrys? "Um, I'm allergic to blueberrys."
"Well I'm allergic to bullcrap! Want me to run to the store and get you the Birthday Cake flavor?"
"That'd be nice." I added some sarcastic tone into it.
He set the newspaper down, gave me an evil glare and left the house.
I didn't really want him to go get Birthday Cake flavored poptarts. I was being sarcastic.
I looked out the window and saw my dad pull out of the drive way, and across the street was that same boy that was in the shop downtown.
Part of me wanted to confront him, and ask if he's stalking me or not. But the other part doesn't, because he might have a gun or knife with him. And also, he's pretty cute and I'm in my footie pajamas.
I hid behind the window and watched him. All he did was stare at the street, at the house, at his phone, then back at the street. He did this repeatedly in the same order except for when a car drove by, he'd act like he's walking. Then once they pass he'd continue his creepy routine.
Hours passed, and my dad still didn't come home. I was starving. Pretty much my stomach was eating itself. I would cook sometime, but come on, I still can't really cook toast. I burn it to the crisp all the time.
"Hey dad. You've been gone for along time. Please call or text me! I'm starving and worried."
I left several voicemails telling him how scared I was and how hungry I was. I got no reply.
Maybe he was sick and tired and he left me here. Maybe he didn't want me anymore so he was going to stay at a motel until I leave back to Rhode Island.
I saw Kristens car pull up. Thank God she was here. Maybe she could make me some french toast.
    "Hi Emily." She came in.
    "Hey."
    "Where's your father?"
"I don't know. He said he was going to the store to get me some poptarts since I was allergic to the ones he had. But he's been gone for hours."
Her face dropped, and her eyes turned dark and gloomy. "He's gone? Did he runaway?"
"I don't know. I'm freaked out and hungry."
"Here, let me make you something to eat and we'll wait for him to come home."
"Sounds like a deal!" I smiled, since I was so relieved I was going to get food.

    Chapter Seven
I got to the house with my hands holding three shopping bags. One was filled with souviners for everyone back home. The other two was clothing and accesories I got from cheap stores, and not Em Plair Clothing & Etc.
"Emily." Kristen came up to me. "What's wrong with you and your father?"
    "What he's done about Tabatha."
She gave me a really confused look. "Who's Tabatha?"
"Dad never told you?" I asked.
    "Who is Tabatha?"
    "My sister."
"You had another sister? What? Since when?"
    "Since like, 17 years ago."
Her huge smile turned into a frown. "What happened?"
"She, um, she..." I didn't know if I wanted to tell Kristen. I already don't like her, and I don't want her sympathy. "Got stolen."
"Oh my goodness!" She yelled. Then without saying a word, marched downstairs to talk to dad.
What happened to Tabatha, is when I was 11 and she was 12, we were outside in our backyard talking about our latest little kid drama. It was a warm spring day, sometime in April.
I told her I was going to get us some ice cold lemonade, and went outside. When I came back, she was gone.
At first I thought it was a game. I thought it was hide-n-go seek, so I searched around the house. First the backyard, then side yard, then frontyard, and in the house.
After five hours of me searching, I told my mom. She called the police and they searched for them.
They looked for her for about three years, but then they decided to stop because she's probably dead since they can't find her. So they closed the case when I was 14.
I was determined to find my sister. On all my free time, I looked for her. I searched my whole city, took the bus for other cities and whenever we went on vacations, I'd search for her.
A year after that, my mom told me to give up and that we need to forget about her. Everyone in my family did, except for me.
Sometimes I secretly look for her. But I know I probably will never find her.
I hear yelling downstairs. It seems really loud and intense. I then hear glass breaking. Carefuly I listened to the conversation.
"So you told me you had two sons and Emily! You lied to me this whole relationship!" Kristen yelled.
"You probably lied too!" My dad shouted back.
"Oh dang it Mitch! The only thing I lied about was not throwing you a suprise party!"
    "Sure, sure."
"I'm not even sure I can trust you now. You might've been lying to me this whole relationship. And I actually loved you!"
    "Honey no...Don't go."
But then I heard the front door slam, and all was silent.

    Chapter Six
I woke up to the smell of eggs, bacon, toast and pancakes.
The smell filled my nostrils, and I walked to the kitchen.
"Good morning!" Dad greeted me, while handing me a plate. "OJ or Apple?"
    "Mornin'. OJ please."
I slid onto the chair and ate my food.
"So...About Tabatha." My mouth let out. I didn't want too, my mind just forced me too.
My dad looked at me shockingly. "What about her?"
"Why are all of her photos in a dusty room?" I asked.
"Well..." It took him a few seconds to think of the answer. "We were told to forget about her, and I did."
"But dad! We didn't mean full-on forget about her like she was never born. But to just accept the fact she's gone."
    "I don't care."
I had a mini heart attack. "You don't care? So you're telling me you don't care your own daughter is gone!"
He was silent for a moment. "Yes."
"I'm going for a walk." I finished my orange juice and went to the door.
"What's amatter?" Kristen came running down.
"Nothing. It's not your buisness. It's family stuff." I yelled then slammed the door behind me.
    I can't believe my dad.
Since I was bored, I walked to the city to check out the shops. I entered a small little shop called 'Em plair Clothing & etc'. What a nifty name.
I checked out all the clothing imported from Paris, and tried some on. It was all girls clothes, so I was shocked to find a boy that looked my age coming in here. It might be for Christmas presents, but it's like $300 per shirt! I couldn't believe that it's for a present. Unless he's rich.
I tried on a little frufru dress. It was above my knees, and it was a hot pink. It was strapless, and it had white streams going diagnol on it.
    "Nice." The boy startled me.
    "Oh, um, thanks."
    "No problem. What's your name."
    "Emily. Yours?"
"Dylan." He strared at me, up and down. He kind of creeped me out. For all I know, he might be some perverted kid walking around in girl shops to check girls out.
    "That's, um, cool." I said.
    "Haha, yeah. You seem shy."
"Not really." I wasn't shy. I was just scared!
    "Okay."
"Bye." I went into the dressing room again.
    What a creepy boy.

    Chapter Five
Torture. Just plain ol' torture. Being stuck up in this attic with Kristen. I'd rather be in a pit of scorpions than here.
"This will look great with your skin tone." Kristen smiled while putting the outfit in my hands, which was my que to get changed.
I slipped on the top, leggings and shoes.
    "Beautiful!" Kristen smiled.
I had to agree, it looked pretty nice on me. The leggings fit my legs perfectly, the orange one-shoulder top looked very nice with my color. Then the sandals tied it all together.
    "Thanks." I blushed.
"I'll be back." She said. "Look through the clothes and i'll be back."
    "Okay."
This woman isn't that bad, but it still annoys me that she broke my family back. I still hate her guts, but 'eh, who doesn't like free clothes?
I got tired of looking through the clothes, so I searched the attic a little. I looked through all of her clothes, until I found a little door.
"Kristen?" I called out, wondering where this door lead to. No reply. "Dad?" No reply.
Quietly, I turned the door knob and opened the creaky, small door. I fit through the small door, and turned on the light switch. As you progressed further, the ceiling got much higher and the walls were spread far apart.
I rummaged through boxes, which was mostly pictures of dad and mom, old furniture, and useless crap he got for Christmas that he never returned.
Suddenly, I found a box that said Tabby. I opened it up, and it was all pictures of Tabatha.
Fury raged in me. No wonder why I saw no photos of Tabatha. Dad threw them all in here! I know everyone told eachother to accept the fact Tabatha is gone and to forget her, but still! To throw all of her precious photos in an old dusty room is just pitiful.
I heard foot-steps coming up, So I quickly put all of the photos in my bag and ran out of the room.
    "Em?" Kristens voice said.
    Again, don't call me 'Em'.
"Yeah?" I emerged from the back part of the room.
"Did you see any more clothes?"
"Yeah, but I'm tired. Can we do this another day?" I faked.
    "Oh, yeah. Night." She smiled.
I ran downstairs to my room and sat on my bed to look at Tabatha's photos.
I missed this girl so much. She was the best person you could ever meet, why did she have to leave?
As I looked at all of her photo's, I drifted into a deep, sleep.

    Chapter Four
"When you were around seven, your mother took you and Tabatha to meet your grandmother you never met before." He began. I got chills down my back when he said Tabatha. "Well, I got a phone call from an old friend of mine. I knew her since 4th grade, and we haven't talked in years. So we set up a lunch-date together."
"So basically you cheated on her?" I tried to dumb it down.
    "I'm not finished."
"Okay, continue." I slurped on my Pepsi.
"Anyways, Your mom got a phone call from one of her friends saying they saw me out at a restraunt with a girl. She got furious, and decided for 'pay-back', to go out to dinner with a guy."
"So mom cheated on you?" I said.
"Not finished!" He said then began telling the story again. "So, later that night my friend and I went to the bar to get a few drinks. As we were in there, I got a text from your moms buisness partner, who is my friend, and said she saw your mom with a boy making out."
    My jaw dropped open.
"So, I was dumb enough to believe this, knowing it was April Fools, and wanted 'pay-back' too, so I decided to make-out with my friend."
"Dumb enough? What does that mean." I asked.
"It was a whole lie. She only went to T.G.I Fridays with Tabatha while you got watched by her boss. She never made out with anyone else."
"Oh. Well, who's your friend?" I asked to annoy the akwardness.
He gave me an unsettling look, so I expected the worse such as my moms sister or something like that. "Kristen." He blurted out.
My fury raged. Dad's girlfriend. Dad's girlfriend split my parents apart! I never met this woman, but know I have hatred for her. She destroyed my family that i'll never get back.
I guessed dad could see I was angry, so he held my hands and said, "Look. It was my fault we split up. Not Kristens."
I just stared at him with a meaningless face. I didn't care whose fault it was, Kristen ripped my family apart, and I didn't like that.
We quickly and silently ate our meal, then we went home to where devil Kristen lives. To where the woman who destroyed my family lives. The woman that I hate with a passion of fury lives.
We arrived home and I noticed a black Jetta sitting in the drive-way
"Is that Kristen?" I asked, making a nasty sound after it.
"Yes." My dad sighed. "Please, please get along with her. You'll like her!"
    "I'll try."
    "Good, good."
We pulled in the other drive-way and walked inside.
    "Honey? Is Em here?"
Oh woman, don't call me 'Em'. That's my family name. Only family calls me Em!
"Yes she is." My dad called back.
She came out of the kitchen and ran to me. She gave me a hug and then my dad a quick kiss. Disgusting!
"Hi Emily! Are you excited being here?"
    "Sure."
"Oh you'll love it here. And thank goodness you're your size and shape!"
I looked down at my skinny legs and arms and my flat stomach. I gave her a confused look.
"I have so much clothing you can have, it might fit the whole airplane! We'll have to try all them on and you can pick the ones you want."
I stared at dad, thinking in my head Please don't make me keep up my nice act. Please don't!
Kristen pulled my arm and ran up the stairs like a teenaged girl pulling her best friend to see a really hot guy.
"Have fun girls!" My dad gave me a snicker, than walked to the living room.

    Chapter Three
"Here's your bedroom." My dad showed me a cute little room.
"Thanks." I threw my stuff down on the bed.
"Where do you want to eat tonight?"
    "Anywhere's fine."
"Okay. I'll take you to my favorite restraunt! I'll let you get ready and then we'll leave."
    "Okay."
I examined the house for awhile. It was one of those cute cottage-looking house, but inside it was large. There were four floors, the basement which was made into a bar. It had a huge couch, a flat screen T.V, a bar set-up with stools and a huge selection of alcohol beverages. It also had a ping-pong table, pool table and a Poker table.
Then there was the main floor, which had about five rooms. The foyer, front living room, main living room, dining room, and kitchen. Also a bathroom.
The upstairs had about seven rooms, and five bathrooms. There's the master bedroom, where my dad and his girlfriend sleep, and it has a bathroom connected to it. Then there were two other bedrooms, mine and a different one, that had a bathroom in it. Then there was two more bedrooms and the other two was the dog 'bedroom' and an office.
The attic was also re-done. It looked like a huge walk-in closet. It was filled with designer clothes, high-heels, Converse, scarfs, jewlery and a bunch of other stuff.
"Like the house?" My dad startled me.
    "Oh yeah, it's beautiful."
"Thanks. It took me and Kristen along time to re-construct all of these rooms."
    "Oh. That's cool." I smiled.
"Yeah. Well, you better be getting ready."
    "Alright."
I ran down the attic steps, and into the bathroom connected to my room.
I straightened my hair until it was perfectly straight, then I did my make-up. I put on three different shades of purple eyeshadow, and then some eyeliner and mascara. Then I put cover-up and blush on.
Quickly I put on my dark skinny jeans and my blue shirt that tied in front. I pulled on my black heel boots, and too complete the outfit my black carrier and some bracelets.
    "Ready." I said.
    "Alrighty!"
We hopped in the car and drove downtown, which was about a five minute drive. It was really beautiful downtown unlike ours. Our downtown was very dark, only a few shops. We had some Christmas decorations but some people tore them down or made them ugly. There's graphitti everywhere and every once in awhile you see someone getting mugged or a store getting robbed.
This one had a bunch of shops and restraunts, clean streets and sidewalks, no wall art and these people dressed nicely.
We walked into the restraunt and ate waited in line.
We got seated from a very nice lady with blonde braids.
"What would you like to drink?" She asked.
    "Pepsi please." I said.
    "Sprite." My dad said.
"Okay. They'll be out soon." She replied than left.
"Thanks for visiting me, Em." My dad smiled.
"No biggy. I wanted to escape Rhode Island anyways."
"That's good. Glad that your mom let you."
"Me too." I began. "Now...What happened with you and mom?"
I needed to get the answer. I've been wandering this for years. Nobody has ever told me, and if it was, it was just "Me and dad got into a fight" and all that crap. I needed to know now.
Dad gave me a scared look, sighed, and finally told me the answer.

    Chapter Two
The flight was long, but as Melissa said, relaxing.
"Please stay seated as we land." The flight attendant said.
"Well, it was really nice to meet you." Melissa said.
"Thanks. Same with me for you." I said. "But what are you doing in LoveLock?"
"Oh, I'm getting picked up from my mother-in-law. My husband is getting back from deployment!"
"Oh my goodness! You must be so excited."
"I am. Well, I hope you have a fun time here."
    "Thanks, you too." I said.
The plane landed, and we got out of our seats. One by one we exited the plane.
I walked over to the suitcase pick-up area. I picked up my three zebra suitcases and started walking towards the Exits to find my dad.
"Em?" I heard someone call out. I turned around and saw my dad. Well, at least I thought that was him.
    "Dad?" I called back.
"Emily!" A huge smile came across his face as he ran to hug me. "I've missed you. You've grown so much!"
"Well, I'm pretty sure that's suppose to happen." I sarcastically smiled.
"Oh, you're mother told me you were a girl with ton of sarcastic."
Mom talked to dad? She said that she never wanted to speak to him since the divorce. I don't even know what drove them to get divorced. They were such a happy couple.
"Well, let's get going." He said while grabbing two of my suitcases and walked to the car.
He opened up the trunk and put my suitcases in as I hopped in the passengar seat.
"Do you like dogs?" He asked me.
"Weird question to ask, but yes. I love them." I answered."
"Good, because I have five of them!"
"What? Where do you even live?"
"In the suburbs I guess you could say. But I have a huge house and a huge backyard for them."
"Oh. How close to the city do you live?"
    "About a fifteen minute walk."
    "Okay."
We drove home which was a half an hour drive. All we did was talk about us. We talked about my grades, my friends, my boyfriend and other things. We talked about his girlfriend, his job and this city. Then we talked about what we're going to do here.
I have a feeling, we're going to have a greeat time here.

    Chapter One
"Bye sweetie!" My mom kissed my cheek. "Be safe."
    "I will." I promised her.
"See you in two weeks." Abagail said.
"I'll miss you Ab!" I hugged her.
"I will too." It looked like she was about to cry.
"Baby be safe. And don't go around and hook up with boys." My boyfriend Ryan told me.
    "Don't worry babe, I won't." I smiled.
"Flight 102 heading to Lovelock, Nevada, please board now." The speaker called.
"Bye." I gave everyone hug, gave Ryan a quick kiss and left.
"Bye Emily!" They all called out and watched me board the plane.
Silently I sat in my seat. I had a window seat which I was happy about.
I checked my purse for gum. "Ugh." I moaned because my pack was empty. Since this was my first time on a plane and I was by myself, I was quite frantic.
"Do you want some?" A young girl sat next to me and handed me some gum.
    "Um, thanks." I said.
"No problem. You look really pale, are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah. This is my first plane ride."
"And alone? Woaw that must suck."
    "Yeah, it does."
"Well, don't worry. I've been on tons of plane rides! They're really fun and relaxing." She told me.
"That helps me a little." I smiled.
    "What's your name?" She asked.
    "Emily. Yours?"
    "Meli-"
    Moooooo-Moooooo-Moooooo
My cow ringtone interupted her. "Hold that thought please." I then answered my phone. "Hello?"
"Hey, when are you leaving?" Ryan asked.
    "In a few minutes."
"Okay. Ab, your mom and I are going to watch you leave."
"That sounds stalkerish." I laughed. "And okay."
"But Em, Promise me you wont see anyone when you're out there." He begged.
    "I promised I won't see anyone." I promised.
    "I don't believe you."
"What? But our whole relationship is based on trust!"
"I know, but sometimes I think you don't love me."
"Babe! I do love you! I always will." I shouted through the phone.
    "I don't be-"
"Flight 102 is deparching in one minute. Please turn off all electrical devices." The flight attendant said.
"I got to go. Bye." I fiercly hung up.
The young girl gave me a concern look. "Um, Melissa." She continued.
"Oh, nice to meet you." I gave a slight smile.
