    we accept the fact that
we had to sacrifice a whole

whatever it was we did wrong.
    What we did WAS wrong,
    but we think you're crazy
to make us write an essay telling you
who we think we are. You see us as
you want to see us... In the simplest
    terms and the most convenient
definitions. But what we found out
is that each one of us is
    a brain...

    Does that answer your question?

    Not My Fault
    Chapter 23
I pulled my binder out of my locker and grabbed my sweater,
listening to the rattle of the bell, signaling the end of the day.
Slamming my locker shut, I swung my bag around my shoulder,
walking slow into the main hallway, avoiding the end of the day stampede.
Once the hallways were mostly clear, I made my way to the next wing, the
Sophomore Wing. I leaned against the wall, dropping my bag by
my feet. Crossing my arms, I waited.
    Ten minutes. Twenty.
    I sighed, picking my bag.
    “Hey, sorry I’m late.”
A voice calls from behind me.
I spun around, seeing Chris, tucking a golden lock of
    hair behind her ear.
“Here, talk girl. Let’s go outside and walk. I shrug.
    “Where were you?”
“At a teachers room, didn’t turn in some assignment,
so I had to make up some
stupid essay.” She rolled her eyes, shifting the bag on her shoulder.
    I raised my eyebrow.
What? Chris is a better student then I am! I ignored that and started outside,
following Chris. We followed a trail behind our school, and I explained to Chris
    everything that happened recently.
With Matt, Godzilla, Cara, and me.
She nodded occasionally, keeping her eyes on the ground.
    This never happened.
She always talks more then me.
Again, ignoring this, I sighed, concluding my rant.
She pursed her lips, and continued, as if concentrating on placing one
    foot ahead of the other.
I looked at her expectantly, receiving no response.
“Okay,” I said, changing the subject.
    “You going to that party?”
    She shrugged.
“Eh, probably. I don’t know, whatever.”
Okay. Chris never misses a party.
She stayed silent. I was tempted to shake her, and tell her to snap out of it.
    But no.
    I just nodded.
Things had gotten really weird between us.
Things that I wanted to change.

    Chapter 22
I sprinted home, and ran to my room, and changed into
a large t-shirt and shorts, plopping on the bed.
The next day, I got up, dressing myself in a black sleeveless
blouse and a hot pink skirt, with flowers dotted on it, with light pink
lip-gloss and eye shadow, loosely curling the tips of my hair.
    I smiled at my reflection.
I tossed my bag over my shoulder, grabbing a banana, and headed out.
I pushed open the door, and took a deep breath, nervous to face the day again.
I plopped down in my usual seat in history, next to Matt. The first bell rang,
indicating two minutes before class starts. I turned to Matt.
    “Look,” I sighed.
“No, I’m sorry. Again. D//amn, I just keep messing up when
    I’m with you. I’m just… sorry.”
I shook my head, my emotion blank.
    “Okay.”
His eyes lit up for a second, before I stopped him.
“But one more time, and I swear. We will be done.”
He looked down solemnly, and nodded.
Mr. Hartman walked in, his beady eyes glaring at us over his black
rectangle glasses. The light reflected off of his spotless baldhead, and
was slipped into the pocket of his khakis. The other was
rested on his maroon button down shirt. He stalked around the
room, pointing at each one of us, commanding us to name one
important figure in history, and what they did,
until someone named the person that we were going to learn about today.
He pointed at me, and looked up.
“Sarah and Angelina Grimké, wealthy daughters of a plantation owner who set all
of the slaves on their plantation free.”
He nodded, and cleared his throat, producing a brass
    bell from his pocket.
“Precisely, Miss Jennifer. I nodded back, and he continued to drone on,
into different abolitionists against slavery and how their movements
    affected our nation.
    I, evidently, zoned out.
At lunch, I found myself sitting with Eve, Laura,
    Chris, Madison and
Lacey, all of which seemingly absorbed into a conversation
about some thing on Friday night.
    “What about you Jen?”
I looked up, looking down at the fork that appeared in
    my hand. I looked around.
    “Huh?”
    Laura nudged me.
    “What are you wearing?”
What kind of question is that?
    I looked down.
    “Uh… a pink skirt and black shirt…?” I replied, slightly confused. I
was responded by Eve laughing. “What?” I replied, shoving my face
with noodles. “Not now, silly. At the party.”
    “What party?”
“Mike’s. Friday night. You’re going, right?” Madison patiently responded,
    “Sure.”
“So, what are you wearing?” Laura repeated.
    “Uh….”
“We’re going shopping together on Thursday.” Chris quickly replied.
Given that I didn’t even know that there was a party on Friday,
I was thankful Chris saved me.
They exchanged nods across the room.
“I just got a new gold sparkly one-strap. It’s like, the
    cutest thing ever!” Lacey exclaimed.
“OMG! That sounds adorable, and s//exy, of course.”
“Oh! I got this gorgeous dark blue knee- length, with a studded
    sash across. It’s totally cute.”
“Uh… yeah! OMG Rachel just got a low cut short new red dress
that barely covers her butt. Showy much?!?!!”
“Uh Yeah! I just heard she got these gold eight-inch heels!
Doesn’t Jamie have the same ones?”
    “D//amn!”
Conversation erupted across the table, and I quickly lost interest.
The bell rang, to next period, and I continued to trudge along
through the rest of the day.
I just to need to talk to Chris.

    Chapter 21
He froze, and then quickly recovered.
“Nothing, you know, the history project.”
    He laughed uncertainly.
“Chris isn’t in our history class.”
    I replied.
“Did I say history? I meant science!” He chuckled,
    changing the subject.
I knew something was up, but I didn’t say anything.
“Come on, loosen up. It was nothing.”
He pushed me over and climbed on top of me,
    pressing his lips against mine.
He kissed me, and tossed me around,
    taking off my button down.
I’m still surprised why I let him.
I pushed him off of me and started to get up,
    suddenly angered.
I grabbed my purse of the chair,
    and headed downstairs,
    pulling on my shirt.
“Hey, where are you going, babe?”
Babe. He's never called me that before.
    Suddenly, I felt really uncomfortable.
He followed me out the door.
    “Please don’t call me babe.”
    He looked confused.
    Suddenly, something came to me.
    “What were in those brownies?”
    I demanded.
He opened his mouth, about to say something,
    but then closed it.
    “Answer!”
“Okay, you got me…” He trailed off.
“What did you put in them?”
    “Jen, I can explain…”
    “You drugged me. Okay, explain.”
He paused. “Okay, maybe I can’t.” He admitted.
I turned away, and started to walk
    towards my house.
“I’m sorry… I wanted, I wanted to get something out of you.
    I really am sorry… I wasn’t myself. Please…”
    He grabbed my wrist.
    I paused, and turned.
“Fine,” I replied. I shook off his wrist, and started to
    continue away, but turned around.
    “Strike two.”

    Chapter 20
I got home, and drummed my fingers on my desk, finishing up my
homework. My planted up on the desk, me leaning sideways in the
red swivel chair. I copied down the last problem, solving it. I slammed
the textbook closed, and checked the time. 5:30.
I decided to grab a sandwich from the café downtown,
then walk to Matt’s. I changed into a button down shirt,
left open on top of a purple tank top, and the same
jeans, with my chocolate brown Uggs. I grabbed my purse
and my sweatshirt, and grabbed some change, and headed out.
The sky was a turn of beautiful blues and grays, with crimson leaves
drifting from oaks. I continued along the long sidewalk, listening
to the honks of the cars, the whiz of the tires, my hands in my white old jacket. I swung the
door open, and looked up, as the rusted old bell jingled.
The café only held about four people, and there was no line. I walked
straight up to the cashier, and smiled.
    “Hey Jen!”
Lulu smiled at me from behind the cash register, and I smiled back.
    “Hey Lu,”
I used to come here a lot, and Lulu was one of my dad’s best friends.
Her dark hair was tossed into a ponytail, and leaned on her forearms on the beige table.
    “It’s been awhile, hon!”
    “Yeah, sorry about that.”
“Well, you’re here now, right? What can I getcha?”
“Tomato, mozzarella, and basil on ciabata, please.” I replied, without hesitating.
    “I should’ve guessed. Melted right?” I nodded.
I took a seat by the back window, and Lulu called me up a few minutes later.
    “Anything to drink, mademoiselle?”
“Um…” I picked up a bottle of raspberry ice tea from the cooler and held it out.
    “Just this, thanks.”
“8.95.” I handed her 15 dollars and smiled.
    “Keep the change.” I waved.
“Thanks, darlin’. Come back anytime, now.”
    I grinned.
    “Certainly!”
I smiled and waved back at her. I grabbed the
sandwhich, and headed out the back door, to sit at one of the
tables outside. Finishing up my sandwhich, and threw the wrapper
away, and grabbed my bottle of iced tea, and walked back towards Matt's house.
I paused in front of the big house, standing there, thinking.
I remembered the first night, looking up at the stars.
I remembered us on the bed, throwing popcorn at each other.
I remembered us doing homework together, when we just stopped and started kissing.
I remembered when we just started dancing to old 70's music, and singing for complete fun.
I remembered the day he pretended to do my hair and make-up.
I remembered when I didn't have to worry about anything when I was with him.
    Was this the same person?
    Let's find out, I thought.
I rang the door bell, and faked a smile, as he opened the door. He took my hand, leading me in.
    "Hey, Jen."
    "Hi."
He took me up to his room, and I sat on his bed, and he sat down next to me.
"What's up?" He bounced at took my hands.
"Nothing..." I lied, avoiding his eyes.
    "Come on, babe."
"I.." I began. I paused. Babe? He's never called me that before.
    Suddenly, I felt really uncomfortable.
I dropped his hands, and looked him directly in the eye.
"What were you talking about with Chris?"

    Chapter 18
I finally found Chris at the end of the day, talking to Matt,
    sitting on the stairs, laughing.
I raised an eyebrow, and snuck a little closer, hiding
    behind the door, unseen.
“Yeah, I know! That was fun…” Chris began, laughing.
    I heard Matt chuckle.
His voice dropped down really low.
    I could barely understand.
“Yeah, but she can’t find out.”
    I could’ve sworn I heard those words.
    I quickly walked away.
I had a strange feeling I was “she”.
I shook my head. It couldn’t be. But even so, what were Chris and Matt
doing? I brushed off the thought, looking for Chris. She wasn’t on the stairs.
I went back to my locker, and replaced the binder I was holding for
another one. I spotted Chris, walking towards the science wing.
    “Chris!”
She turned around, and looked at me, and her expression
changed, slightly, her blue eyes turning murky gray.
    Disappointment?
“Please.” I caught up wither her.
    “Alright. What?”
    “I need to tell you what happened, please. I… I don’t know…
he acted all weird on our date, and we didn’t really… and everything
is crazy at home, and…. Please, just listen.”
    Her expression softened.
“Fine… but… but not now. Now I have to get to Mr. Lucerano and hand in
an essay due at the end of study hall. Meet me tomorrow
after school, in the Sophomore Wing. Alright?”
    I nodded. “I’ll uh… see you then.”
She nodded and walked away. I stood there.
    Thinking.
I walked back to the cafeteria, and opened a book for the last ten minutes
of study hall, but I stared at the wall. Matt was sitting at a table with Jack, Mike, and Paul,
his friends, across from me. I sat with Laura, Chris, Eve and Madison,
three of which who had left. So just Laura and I.
Matt looked up, and smiled at me. I couldn’t smile back. I just
pressed my lips together and nodded. He saw my face and came over,
pulling up a chair. Laura got the message and got up and left.
    Matt and I.
    He looked at me.
    “What?” I whispered.
“Jen, come on. What’s wrong?” He whispered back.
“Nothing… I just… nothing.” I looked down. He pressed his
    hand on top of mine.
”Alright. I know that’s not it, Jen. But, you’ll tell me when
    you’re ready, okay?”
    I nodded.
    “It’s not about the… s//x thing, right?”
    I shrugged.
“That, and a lot of other things, Matt.”
“Please, Jen. I said I was sorry. I really didn’t mean to make this a huge
deal… I’m sorry Jen. This is my strike one.”
    I looked at him.
    “Okay.”
“Anytime you need to talk, or uh… are looking for a
good time-“ I shot him a warning glance. “Too soon, Matt.” He grinned.
“Know that my door’s open, alright?”
    I smiled.
“Now, let’s ditch this place!” We snuck out of the room, with seven
minutes of the day left to go. He walked with me
to my locker, and talked to me while I tossed my
binders into my bag. The hallway was empty, so we
snuck into another hallway, with the
repair classrooms, creatively named, the Repair Wing.
The hallway was dark, and we dropped our backpacks.
He held my hands in both of his and leaned in,
pressing his lips on my mouth. I kissed him back, and he pushed me
up against the wall, his hands wrung around my hips. He pulled back, looking at me.
    He leans in again, whispering,
    “My house. Tonight.”
    I knew what came next.
Kinda short, not much interesting stuff here, but umm thingd to get kinda

    Chapter 17
I blinked, my foggy vision slowly becoming clearer. I changed into
shorts and an old t-shirt, when I heard a rap at the door.
“Jennifer! You come out of your room now!” An angry voice growled.
Rubbing my eyes, I opened the door.
As I abruptly opened the door, the hand pounding on the doo
r came crashing down on my face. I took a step back, holding my
bruised nose. Mother stormed in, and glared at me expectantly.
“You were gonna do lunch and dinner. You leave at one and
come back at… what time is it now… ten? Huh? I gave you
work to do. Your sister was waiting.” She screamed. “Am I the only that
cares? Do you think I run this house for fun?” Her voice got stronger
as she continued to yell. “Do you think I like to work here, living up to your
smart/ss comments? You don’t do anything!” She hollered.
I didn’t even see it coming, her hand crossed my face,
leaving a burning sensation that quickly spread.
“You ungrateful little b/tch. For all we do for you…”
She muttered. She turned around and stomped out of the room.
Tears welled up in my eyes, as I pressed my hand to my nose, looking at my fingers.
    Blood.
I tilted my head up, holding the bridge of my
nose until the bleeding stopped. My cheek still burns, I thought.
I raced downstairs, to the kitchen, to get ice. Cruella stood facing
the fridge, spinning around when she heard me.
“Ice? You wanted ice?” She snatched an ice cube
from the freezer and threw it at me, sending the little chunk of ice across the room.
Without another word, I turned and sprinted up to my room, heading out the
    window, tossing on a sweater.
The sky actually was dark, the stars shining bright in the sky.
I hit the ground, and checked my phone.
    It really was 10:26.
I looked around, and started to walk towards the sidewalk, when I heard rustling
    in the leaves.
    No one.
I rolled my eyes and continued walking. I pulled out
my phone, texting Chris. She was still awake.
    ‘How did your date go?’
    ‘I… don’t know. Not that great… I mean… He tried to…
Can we actually talk? Like face to face?’
    ‘yea. Tomorrow.’
    ‘k’
I look back up. Staring into the sky. I needed to know
what happened with Matt. Is he really who I thought he was?
Who I've dated for two months?
And with Cruella, I’ve been dealing with that for awhile now. Over 15 years.
I don’t know if I can go on much longer.
Okay! Two in one day!! Nice! Again, a bit short......... and I'll let you know, her school'l be eventful tomorrrrrow ;) okaaaayy so um yeah!

    Chapter 16
I shook my head again, trying to clear my mind, and he started the car.
The ride back was mostly silent. Almost an hour passed.
“Hey, uh… where are we going?” I asked, eyeing the clock.
    “Um… ah… a little detour…”
I raised my eyebrow, and continued looking out the window.
Almost an hour and half later, we arrived at a building, with a shady
    shed next to it.
    No one near the building.
“Where is this place? Why are we here?” I asked wearily.
“Just relax.” He patted my stomach. He pulled up under the roof of
some empty parking garage. The roof blocked out all of the sunlight,
so I could only see a dark outline of him facing me.
“What’s going on?” I asked, my heart racing.
“I said, relax.” He repeated, more frustrated.
He leaned in, closer to me, snatching my arms and reeling me in.
    Forcing his lips against mine.
I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I tried pulling back,
but he dug his fingers into my back. I tore my head away and pushed him away.
    “Come on, Jen.”
He pulled me back in, and slipped off my jacket, and
started pulling on the zipper of the dress I was wearing, running it off my torso.
I couldn’t stop him. Shivers ran down my spine, and My head slipped to the seat of the car.
He pressed on top of me, his body touching mine.
It was wrong. I didn't like this.
    I pulled back panting.
“Matt what are you doing?” I could feel my head
    throbbing through my temple.
“Please…” My voice trailed off. He slipped onto the same seat I was,
and pushed me against the car door, digging his lips against my bare neck,
laying one of his legs across my lap.
My heart raced, and I felt a knot in my stomach.
    I shoved him back.
    “Please… Just take me home.”
He rolled his eyes, and got back to the drivers seat,
    starting the car.
“Come on, Jen. I thought you were different.”
An hour later, he arrived in front of my house. I jumped out and
took my purse, and ran to the house without another word.
I felt my eyes burning, my head spinning as I slammed
the door close, dropping on the bed.
    Everything went black.
    What happened?
AHHHHHHh WHAT HAPPENEDD?!?!?! Ideas, anyone? Sorry
this is super shorttttttttt but i am getting the start done to another Witty

    Chapter 15
The car was parked along a dirt path, which quickly changed into grass.
Matt disappeared into the backseat of the car, and pulled out a
giant brown woven picnic basket, and a mini cooler. The area was a grassy bed lined with pines, vergreens, and oaks.
    He smiled at me,
and took my hand again, leading me down the path. After
reaching a soft, bright green bed of grass, Matt pulled out a red and
white-checkered picnic blanket out from the basket and set it out.
I sat down on the blanket, feet straight out, facing the old park bench. He sat
down next to me, opening the picnic basket, slowly removing containers full
of sandwiches, brownies, and cut-up pear. The cooler contained cans of Coke,
and Capri Sun juice pouches. He handed me a sandwich and began chewing.
I stared at the perfect blue sky,
the white puffy clouds drifting across the sky, leaving a faint
    wispy trail, free.
“How did you find this place?” I asked.
    He shrugged.
“This used to be a park, and as a kid, my uncle was obsessed with
boating or canoeing races, and we came here to watch, on the other
side of the lake, furthur down.. The company for the boats and stuff moved to
larger area, so this just became a general park.”
    I nodded.
Picking up my sandwich, I smiled and nibbled the peanut butter and jelly slowly.
    Matt inched closer to me.
After finishing our sandwiches, Matt packed up, and handed me a
can of Coke and a brownie, saving some for himself.
“Let’s go for a walk.” He declared.
He left the blanket out, and we left our Coke next to the basket. We walked
along the lake, our feet getting coated by the cool wet mud that lined the lake.
    “So,” Matt began.
He looked up, thinking. Suddenly his eyes sparkled with excitement.
“What was your first impression of meeting me?” He grinned slyly.
“Um… I guess when I first saw you, you were that ‘player’ that always
gets the girl, and goes after every girl that crosses his path.
The one that everyone has a crush on. Ya know, the ‘blocky’,
the one with the thick mind, not taking no for an answer…
    that kind.” I trailed off.
    "No offense." I quickly added.
    “And now?” He asked.
“Still deciding.” I replied solemnly. He nodded. It went on like that. I asked him
    some, and he asked me.
I finished my brownie, a delicious chocolate chunk, but I suddenly felt tired.
“What… what did you put in here?” I asked, motioning to the sweet.
“Oh… my secret ingredient.” He winked, and I was confused. I shook my head
and we headed back to the picnic site.
After packing up, we headed back to the car.
    My head started to spin.
    What was going on?
    OOhlalla What is going on?

    Not My Fault
    Chapter 13
    p2
“So, what do you do all day? I mean, your uncle works most of the time, right?”
He nods. “Jim. Yeah. I don’t know, I mean homework, watch TV, go for walks and stuff… Nothing exciting. I was glad that you could come over, because I was bored out of my mind.” He looked up, stirring the chocolate powder into the hot water.
“That was… fun. Different, but fun.” I replied carefully.
    He opened the fridge.
“Yeah. Well, you liked that? I got plenty more where that came from.” He winked,
grabbing the milk. He poured milk into the cups, and popped it into the microwave again.
“Now go! I need to serve it to you like a real queen.”
    “Stop, Matt. It’s okay.”
“Stubborn. Fine.” He made a face, then grabbed my knees, tossing me over his
shoulder, my torso behind his head, my head facing his back.
    I didn’t even try.
He took me upstairs again, and tossed me on the bed.
“Now stay.” He waved his finger at me, disappearing from the room. I smiled to myself.
    I loved him.
I slipped my sweater off, just as he waltzed in.
“Hot coca for two, my dear.” He sang.
I smiled, bringing my knees up to my chest.
“Thank you.” We drank out milk in silence, lost in thoughts of ourselves,
and each other. I finished my drink, and Matt took it from my hands, placing both of our
cups on his bedside table. We snuggled under the covers together, looking at each other.
“I’m sorry Matt… it’s like past noon. I really should get going.” He nodded. '
We both got up, and he looked at me, holding my hand.
“This was fun. We really… should do that again sometime.” He smiled.
“My favorite part… was the, the middle.” He didn’t have to say anything else.
I knew what he meant. The bed. The clothes- or, lack of it. The new side of him.
    “Me too.” I replied, laughing.
    “I really don’t want to leave…” I murmured.
“I don’t want you to go…” Matt took me in his arms, and gave me a hug.
“Can I meet you tomorrow, Sunday, in front of my house, at around 2:00?” Matt asked.
“I want to take you somewhere, about 20 minutes from here.”
“It’s a date.” I smiled into his bare chest, and he smiled into my bare stomach.
He looked up at me, silent, leaning in. Our lips touched, and I knew what to do.
I threw my arms around him, and kissed him back. He was surprised, but he
did the same. Maybe five minutes. Maybe twenty.
Our lips parted, but none of us moved. Foreheads touching, his arms around my
waist, mine around his neck, our noses touching. We just smiled.
“Jen…” He whispered. “I’ve never felt more comfortable around someone then
I have around you. You know me. You understand.”
“You’re the one I can talk to. You’re everything to me, Matt. I… I love you…”
    My voice trailed off.
My heart stopped at what came next.
“Jennifer Mills, I love you too.”
Alright :) Again, a wee bit sappy <3 Just
the way I like it ;)
I hope you like it so far. Next, they go on their date, which goes great, and then everything get more perfect with Matt, worse with Cara.. untilllll
Jenny finds out something, which I can not reveal :)
But it's sick, and cruel, and sad, and I'm going to be like crying while writing that part because I love Matt. Well, no one is perfect, and just Jen thinks that he is perfect, he turns out not to be.
I love writing about these parts, because it... I basically type up dreams that I've had... The popcorn scene, the hot chocolate, and the last part.... except of course, with someone else ;)

SOO hope ya like it ;)

    Not My Fault
    Chapter 13
    p1
I got off his body, and stood up. He looked a bit dazed.
"hmm..?" He blinked, and stood up, across from me.
We probably looked like a strange sight, him wearing nothing but red and gray
boxers and me wearing a bra and cupcake pants. We stared at each
other for a while, then started laughing. Just laughing. About us,
about everything. We strolled over next to me, and I wrapped my arms around him,
laughing. Half naked, yes, but laughing. And happy. "You are... An amazing kisser." he smiled at me.
"As are you." I smiled back. Holding my hand, he led me to the bed, and we both fell.
Not changing. Not moving. Just lying there. He reached out, grabbing a red bowl full of popcorn,
and laid it on the bed. He took some, shoving it in his mouth, and held a few out to me.
I made a sound that somewhat like a chipmunk, opening my mouth.
Keeping one hand around my shoulders, he laughed. "Alright!"
Picking up popcorn pieces, one by one, and started tossing them at my mouth.
I caught one, started chewing, but he kept going, chucking popcorn
at my face and hair. I held my hands up. "Ah! Stop it!" I squealed, laughing.
I snatched the bowl from him. "No more." I said, talking like I would to a
puppy. Then I started, rapidfiring popcorn at him. And we went on, having
our popcorn fight, until there was no more left. Then, I just curled up next to him, my legs diagonal across his thighs. His beautiful, tan, muscular thighs, almost sotting In his lap.
His arm wrapped around me, my head on his shoulder, gazing up at him, as he bent down to kiss me. I could feel his hand on my hip, fingering the waistband of my pants,
slowly pulling a little lower. I didn't say anything at first. He kept going, fully aware
I knew wht he was doing. "Hey!" I said, slapping his hand. "I'm not trying to get naked here. Almost there, but not yet." I teased. "No, but that might be nice." he replied,
winking. "haha no. Not yet." I repeated. We laid there like that, for a moment.
"Hey would you like something?" he asked. "Coffee? Milk?" I thought for a moment.
"Hot chocolate would be nice." I gave him a sweet smile.
"Anything for you, my dear." He winked, and tapped my nose, starting to slip
out of bed. "No. Don't leave." I whined, wrapping my arms around his torso. "I'll be right back." He promised, kissing my nose. "Alright, I'll come with you."
"Fine." He jumped out of bed, and I slipped out with him. He stretched, yawning. I couldn't help it. I stifled a laugh. “What?”
“It’s just that… you look so… bare.” I replied, laughing. The waistband
of his boxers was slipping, and he knew it. He winked. “And that’s the way I like it.”
“Um… No.” I smiled. I jumped out of bed, too.
“Look who’s talking!” He waved his finger at me. “Little Miss, only wearing a bra and pants
almost half off.” He playfully punched my arm.
“Thanks to you.” I grumbled, folding my arms across my chest.
“Aww, come here you!” He ran at me, lifting me up by my knees and back, waving me around like a princess, which made my pajamas slip almost entirely off.
“Stop it!” I said, laughing, trying to resist. His strong, tan arms wouldn’t move.
I stopped moving, and he continued to swing me, the silence washed
away by our laughter. He gently set me down, and said, “Come on. We’re
not going down there looking like this there are windows down there!” He leaned
to me, and covered his mouth, like the word “window” was a bad word. He
grabbed a blue bathrobe off the floor, and tossed it on. I slipped my arms through my sweater, leaving it unzipped. I couldn’t care less, neither of us bothering to change into real clothes.
Matt picked me up again, and carried me downstairs to the kitchen, where he set me
down on the counter. I sat there, palms pressed against the cool granite, legs swinging, watching him make hot chocolate. He partly filled two cups of up with water, and placed them in the microwave, one at a time, getting chocolate powder out.
