   Chapter 8
   "I can't see." I wispered.
   "What?" Phoebe said. I had stopped at this point.
   "I can't see." I said louder. I sat down slowly with my legs crossed. "Phoebe? Please sit with me." I really needed some reasurance. I heard her sit acroos from me. I reached out for her and she took my hands.
   "Can you really not or are you joking?" She asked.
   "I really can''t see." A few tears fel but I remained calm. I had perfect vision. I have never needed glasses, I could see far away, I could see up close.
   "I'm going to call your Mum ok?" She said, he voice strained.
   A few minutes later My vision slowly came back. I smiled when I saw a worried Phoebe sitting in front of me. "It's back." I grinned. " I can see." Phoebe smiled but still could see the worriedness in her eyes.
   "You're seriously scaring me." She said, I began to laugh just as my Mother's car pulled up beside us. Before I left I handed her the two papers to be handed in today. "You're dead if anything happens to them." I say, giving her a death stare.
   I hopped into the front seat and waved goodbye.
   "That was so scary." I said. I looked across at Mum. "Can we go to Dr. John? I went to him on Saturday and I'm booked into him for next Monday arvo." I said to her. She was a quiet Mother, except for when we sing in the car together. Old tradition haha. Didn't give big lectures, that was Dad's job. We drove there quietly. I had to turn the radio because It was getting awkward. 20 minutes later, we pulled into the Surgery. Mum grabbed my hand as we walked in, I sqeezed back gently.
   "Is there anytime available for Dr. John today?" I asked the very different lady from the other day at the desk. This one looked nicer.
   "Yes, he just got in a few minutes ago. He doesn't have an appointment until 10 o'clock." That was in two hours. Perfect.
   "Can we go in now?" I asked.
   "Let me just check." She said getting up. "Name?"
   "Jaycee Stephens." And with that she disapeared. Only to come back again a few moments later. "You may go on in, just the door through there." Then she went back to doing stuff on her computer.
   I walked in first, with my Mother close behind.
   Just then I felt a sharp in my stomach, I knew that feeling, I've had it many times before. My eyes widdened and I quickly grabbed the bin that was by the door and chucked my guts into it.
   "Sorry." I said to the Doc.
   "Hmm." Was all he said and wrote something down on his note pad. I swear that's all he does for his job. "Normally, I wouldn't give up my free time for a pacient but you worried me when you came early." He said.
   "Yeah, this morning, on my way to school. I lost my vision for about 5 minutes."
   "Right, I'm going to get you a CAT scan now. Please follow me."
   A CAT scan? This can't be good.

   Chapter 7
   The weekend passed with any social contact. But I did finish the assignments, which were all due this week. Now I can study without a worry for test block in 2 weeks.'
   Anyway, It's a Monday morning and I'm in a little cafe with one of my good friends, Phoebe. She just got off the bus before and now we're having chocolate milkshakes. The best in town.
   "I can't believe it's Monday." She started.
   "And it's 7 am."
   "And we've nine different assignments due this week."
   "And I had to catch the bus."
   "I haven't even started studying for test block."
   "And it-"
   I zoned out as she babbled on about her misfortunes. I felt my phone vibrate and I looked down.

   From: Hunterr is the bessst ;)
   I think I'm going to break up with nikki. I don't like the way she treats my brother from another mother :P
   I roll my eyes at the screen and type my reply.
   To: Hunterr is the bessst ;)
   First: I am not a guy, I am a girl. In case your caveman brain can't comprehend. So that means is Sister from another Mister. And secondly, why?? You know she's just jealous that I get more attention from her boyfriend than she does, however that works...
   Hunter has never liked Nikki, he was just annoyed at her because she kept asking her out and she wouldn't take no for an answer.
   Desperate much?
   "Jaycee, it's almost 8 o'clock, we'd better go." Phoebe says getting up from her chair. I groaned but got up anyway. I could skip school if I wanted, all we do in class is work on the papers we have due. But two of them are due today so if I don't show up and hand them in I get a zero. Not exactly a wanted mark in the final year of school.
   Around ten minutes into the walk to school a head ache started to form. I just pushed the pain away and carried on. Five minutes later my vision started to go funny. I could still see where I was walking so I still carried on walking.
   Until, my vision had gone completely black.

   Chapter 5
   A few weeks have passed and school has piled on the assignments. Stress is getting higher and higher. Test block is also coming up so that's not helping. I barlely get time to myself anymore, in the car on the way to and from school is the most I get a day. But the boys rugby season is starting this Saturday, tomorrow, so I'm forcing myself to make time. I've never missed any of Hunter's games before and year 12 isn't going to stop it now. As I sit in my room doing my homework, I start to get a headache. Which has been happening a lot latley. I went downstairs to get some pain killers. The doctors say it's just stress though and gave me the tablets. I swallow them down with some water and begin my way back up stairs. Reaching the top, my older brother, Jack comes out of his bedroom with someone behind him.
   "He Jaycee I took this guy here," He said with playful disgust, "On leave for ya. Your welcome." And the sarcasticness comes out... And so does Hunter, wasn't expecting that.
   "JAYC-" His yell was cut short with my serious face.
   "If your here, you're helping me study." His face dropped. "Otherwise go play Boarderlands 2 with Jack."
   "YOU HAVE BOARDERLANDS 2?" He screams running down the stairs to the games room. I sigh and carry on with my assignments.
   As it becomes close to 3 am, Hunter comes into my room.
   "Jaycee, you've been at this for 10 hours now, why so long?" He asks.
   "Well, if I want to see your game tomorrow, I'm going to have to finish this tonight." I explain , not taking my eyes off of my laptop.
   "You mean today, my game's today." He says. "Go to bed Jaycee."
   "Fine. But it'll be your fault if I don't get this finished in time." I closed my laptop amd put it on charge.
   4 hours of sleep. Kill. Me. Now. I had to wake up early because i've got another doctors apointment in half an hour. Having a quick shouwer, brushing my teeth and throwing on some sweats, I headed out of the door.

   Chapter 4
   I walked out of the terminal with my suitcase and bag and headed out, forgetting Hunter behind me. I scan the crowd for people I know. A familiar face came into view and I dropped all of my bags and ran.
   "NATE!!" I screamed and jumped into a welcomed hug. "I missed you" I said with my head into his neck.
   Hunter came up then, "Nate, good to see ya" then they did that handshake/man hug thing that guys do.
   Nate is my 21 year old brother you SHOULD be at Uni stydying!!
   "Why are you here??" I asked.
   "Good to see you too, kid." He said sarcastically. I raise my eye brows at him. "Okay, okay! calm down. Geez. I've got a few days off before i have to go back to Uni'' Nate is studying law at Harvard somewhere north, I have no idea where. Don't judge. I failed Geography. "Come on, I'll take you kids to school."
   "OK!" Hunter stepped in. "1, we are not kids and 2, only I'm going to school. Princess here doesn't want to board because of her 'commitments' to sports" He said with the fingers for " " and everything.
   "Since when did you not want to board?" Nate asks me.
   Before he went, boarding was all I wasnted to do. Talk about it 24/7. Guess times have changed because I am now a black belt in Karate, Kick Boxing, Mixed Martial Arts and Ju Jitsu. Yeah Hunter said five but That's just in sarcasm. And proud!!
   I just shrugged.
   Anyway, we all headed to Nate's car and drove off. There's many things I would like after an hour and a half flight. A two hour drive isn't on the list though... But time went quickly from all the talking and we soon arrived at Hunter's and Nate's former school. We got out of the car rather reluctantly. While Hunter grabbed his bags, Nate and I went up to the boarding house. Upon opening the door about ten pairs of eyes turned towards us.
   "JAYCEEEE" They yelled and jumped up and tackled me to the ground.
   Hunter came through the door to see to pile of guys on me. "STACKS ON JAYCEE!" He yelled.
   Damn that boy i call my best friend. A few more moys came out of their rooms and jumped on.
   Nate just laughed and went to find the House Master.
   "Guys?! Can't... Breath..." I said, struggling for oxygen, "Help... Me" My voice came out squeaky at the end. No one moved though. Bad move, I thought. I mannage to move right hand enough to find the closest pressure point on the boy above, which happened to be his balls. Poor guy. I grabbed them, through his shorts obviously, and pulled. He jumped and started shaking. With my left hand I grabbed the inside of another guys thight and his leg spasmed. Those two rolled of to the side. This went on until the last few had enough sense to get off me before they passed out as well.
   "Geez, just as grabby as before," Says Jack, who is in our group of friends, "Have you been practicing with Master Chi?" He asks.
   "Why yes, yes I have." I say smugly. We all start chatting about our holidays and sharing funny and embarrising storys about the holidays. Like that time Hunter pantsed me at the beach.
   Good thing they didn't see the cuts.
   Sorry it's slow but I promise it will pick up xxx

   I handed my plane ticket to the lady and the scanner thingy before the walk way to the plane. It beeped and she gave it back.
   "Have a nice flight" She said, with a permanent smile on her face. I walked through with my back pack on. It only has my phone, iPod, earphones, a book, my laptop and a hoodie. I waited on the other side for Hunter. He came through liking like he had won the lottery.
   "What is that look for?" I ask.
   "He flashed a peice of paper before my eyes and said, "That chick gave me her number." He said, his smile unwavering.
   "That's soooo amazing," I dragged out the 'so', "Let me write that in my book of things I don't care about!" I said with an over peppy voice and with a face that looks like those japanse anime, sorta like this: ^_^. Yeah... he slapped me. Not hard, just enough to show he was annoyed. Not that it would've hurt anyway. I smiled as he walked passed me. Chuckling as I hit his but. Before you think that, we are just friends. Best friends. But I'm hoping later, much... much later. It'll turn into something more. But if that happened now, it could ruin our friendship. I could never find a friendship like this one again.
   As we headed toward the doors on the plane, Hunter stuck his foot out in front of mine. But I saw it coming, as usual, and leaped forward, pushed off of my hands and landed back on my feet succsefully completing a front handspring.
   "F*ck you!" Hunter exclaimed. Some of the older folk around us gave dirty looks. But it's never what it seems. Just playful banter.
   "Tickets please?" The flight attendant demanded, I think he was meant to be asking politley. But i guess if you do this everyday, you'd be bored as well.
   "Your seats are through here and down there." He gave us directions and Hunter started towards.
   "Why Thank you," I looked at his name badge, "Tyler." I said giving a wink and walking away. When me and hunter arrived at our seats. We stopped. Two seats. One window. Before he could even blink, I pinched a nerve in his neck paralyzing him for a second while I jumped into the seat. Just after I buckled up Hunter came out and punched me.
   "Hey! I won fair and square!" i say rubbing my left arm.
   "Shut up." He sighs sitting down.
   We begin chatting as I feel the plane move. Not before long, we are airborn and our hour and a half fligh is on it's way.
   Gold Coast, here we come.

   Chapter 1 Part 2
   I was visiting him and his family for the Autum holidays, but the two week holiday is nearly finished. We fly back tonight to be picked up by my mother and take him to school so he can get settled before the first day of school tomorrow.
   Ugh. School. Term two. Ten weeks of assignments, tests and drama. No really, that's my favourite subject. Haha nah I kid. Even for an all girl school, the drama is all the same. If not more because we can talk freely of the boys with them being there. Our schools are brother/sister schools. So we do a lot of stuff together. I'll explain more later.
   Sorry for ranting on, I do that a lot *sheepish smile* hehe.
   "Jaycce? JAYCEE!!!" Hunter yelled in my ear. Coming out of my day dream I realised just how close he is. Right next to my left ear yelling and clicking in my face. I grab the hand that is in front of me and in one swift, quick motion, Twist it so it's behind is back. Then I kick his knees in so he's kneeing on the floor with his left arm behind his back. If i wanted too, I could dislocate his shoulder. But I won't Because I'm a nice friend.
   "Damn, I forgot you're a black belt in FIVE. DIFFERENT. MARSHLE ARTS." He said, obviously in pain. "Freak." He mutterd under his breath, thinking I wouldn't hear.
   Applying more pressure on his shoulder, "Would you like to repeat wat you just said?" I reply with a sickly sweetness in my voice.
   "No. No I would not"
   Heh heh, That's what I thought.

    Chapter 1
    I slowly open my eyes to come face to face with my Best Friend Hunter, smiling wide. Ugh, I don't know how he could be up this early!
    "Wake up sleepy head" He wispers. I groan and swing my arm around to hit him. But my feeble attempt was stopped when he grabbed my wrist. His grin suddenly turns evil. Oh. My. God. I thought. What have i done?. I barely get time to finish my thoughts as he pulls my wrist and drags me out of bed. I hit the floor with a thump. I jump up quickly, now wide awake, and turn around.
    "You'd better run, boy" I say in a deadly voice.
    But his grin stays and he turns and bolts from the room. He's fast, but I'm faster. An evil laugh makes it way from my lips as I chase after him. As I got to the door I see him at the top of the stairs and quicken my already fast pace. He jumps down the stairs, two at a time. I grab the banister to help me with my fast turn, and jump, landing on the hand rail on the opposite side, and slide down after Hunter. Nearing the end I leap off and tackle him to the ground. We land him face down and my lying on top of him. I sit up so im straddling his back.
    "You never learn, do you?" I tease him for his lack of wins when we fight.
    "Don't think I ever will" His muffled reply comes. I stand up and stept to the side. Hunter makes a move to get up but his little brother comes and pushed him over. "Thanks Scott" Hunter says sarcasticly.
    "Anytime bro" Says Scott, smiling.
    "Nice one Scotty, up top" I say giving him a high five.
    Oh sorry, you all must be sitting there, alone, with your cats, and ice cream, clueless. My name is Jaycee Stephens, I am 17 years old and I live on the Gold Coast, Australia. My Bestie that is currently lying on the floor groaning in pain, baby, Is Hunter Gold. We actually have the same birthdayas each other, haha big coincidence since we only met a few years ago, when we were 13. I have three siblings, he has three siblings. I go to an all girl school, he goes to an all boys school. I live on the Gold Coast, he lives in Sydney. I Dance and do Karate.. and.. others :)... he plays Rugby Union and does Rowing. I suck at rowing, he sucks at dancing and karate. It's pretty much even in what ever. Both of our schools are on the Gold Coast. Yeah yeah I know what your thinking. Or do I? I'm not a psychic. Geez don't have get all up in my face. Anyway, yes, he lives in Sydney. Yes, he attends school on the Gold Coast. No, he does not fly/drive back and fourth everyday. Our schools are boarding schools. but I don't board. I only live 15 minutes away.
