The Fight For Survival
Prologue
The future of the Earth is at stake. There are less than one-thousand human beings left. Obesity, polution, cancer, poison, and climate change have contributed to the Earth's current state.
Every two years, fifty people are chosen to battle in a fight to the death for one whole month. After a month, anyone still alive will be sent home and will be safe for the next two years. Chosen ones get sent to extreme places, sometimes it's a tropical paradise, sometimes, it's as hot as hell.
It's a cruel way to keep the population under control. The officials are trying to kill off the rest of us. They have no way to control the birth rate since they discovered that birth control pills are cancerous. So they came up with this harsh method.
There is a list posted on July 17th of all the people who will participate. The officials choose random people. If you get on their bad side, you're certain to be chosen.
You skip out on your choosing, it's the death penalty for sure.

If you're wondering, I did get his idea from The Hunger Games, but I am not copying it. I(If you haven't read it, I really reccomend it.) This story will be a lot different.
