Sometimes I have to stop myself, &remember that I'm only a teenager, and that all this is only going to be a foolish memory someday. Recently many of us know that one of the most inspirational speakers a lot of us have ever heard had come and talked to us at our school, Marc Elliot. The saying he lives by really affected me. “Live and let live” A lot of us totally agree with exactly what he said, but none of us really live by it, especially me. We all have flaws, whether it be a zit on your face, saying the wrong answer in class, or maybe even the simplest thing like a bad hair day. Most of us girls think that that’s the end of the world that no guy will ever want to talk to us if we have a minor flaw on our face for a few days. I would know, I’m one of those girls. So lately I’ve really been thinking. Why do we care so much about what people think of us? Everyone has “those days.” So why do we think it’s okay to judge others on anything they do intheir life? Or anything that happens in their life? We all live In a world of judgment a society we can’t go a day without making a comment on someone elses wardrobe, hair style, or personality. Its time we stop judging, and its time we stop caring. We are all teenagers, all going through different things, but at the same time knowing exactly how you feel. Most of us will go on with our own lives after high school, sticking with the friends that didn’t care about that bad hair day or that week you had a huge zit. We have our whole entire lives ahead of us, and to care about what other people think is a waste of that precious time. Don’t worry about that girl that called you ugly, or that guy or girl you think is cute, because in ten years when you look back on how you went through high school, you’re going to regret it. You have so many years to find the right person you want to spend your life with. Stop constantly thinking youre never going to find the perfect relationship? You’re in HIGH SCHOOL. It’s the times you make memories with your bestfriends, do stupid things that are totally worth getting in trouble for and loving the right people that have always been there for you from the beginning.
I don’t know about anyone else, but its time I start to “live and let live.”
