glanced back at me. "It demands to be felt."

    It's almost midnight,
    and i'm still waiting
    for your reply,
because i'd rather talk to you,
    than do anything else.
But as the da comes to an end,
I realize that I'm wasting my time,
because you haven't replied for hours,
and it shows in your eyes,
that you'd rather talk to someone,
    that's not me.

I hate that ache you feel when you
miss someone who doesn't miss you. I
hate it when my head starts spinning,
an dmy thoughts jumble. I hate reflecting
on the moments when I truly felt hapy
and content with myself. I wonder, what
went wrong? How did this happen?

    it's funny how sometimes all
    we needed was
    a line from a song,
    a quote from a book
    or a movie
to realize how we really feel
    and
    all we needed was
    a smile from a stranger,
    a good cup of tea,
    a walk in the rain,
    an old song
to briefly put us back together
before we fall a part all over
    again

    Bad social habits i have:
    - mumbling
    - not smiling
    - trailing off
    - crossing my arms
    - looking angry even though im not angry
    - the fact that i cant even socialize
    - the fact that im me

do you ever think about how
diffrent your life could be if you
went to a different school or
different people went to your school
or you lived in a different state or
were two grades younger or older or
    something
    it's kinda crazy how different
    everything could be, like your
friends and school grades and social
    life

Once on a yellow piece of paper with green lines
    he wrote a poem
    And he called it "Chops"
because that was the name of his dog
And that's what it was all about
And his teacher gave him an A
    and a gold star
And his mother hung it on the kitchen door
and read it to his aunts
That was the year Father Tracy
took all the kids to the zoo
And he let them sing on the bus
And his little sister was born
with tiny toenails and no hair
And his mother and father kissed a lot
And the girl around the corner sent him a
Valentine signed with a row of X's
and he had to ask his father what the X's meant
And his father always tucked him in bed at night
And was always there to do it
Once on a piece of white paper with blue lines
    he wrote a poem
    And called it "Autumn"
because that was the name of the season
And that's what it was all about
And his teacher gave him an A
and asked him to write more clearly
And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
    because of the new paint
    And the kids told him
    that Father Tracy smoked cigars
And left the butts on the pews
And sometimes they would burn holes
That was the year his sister got glasses
with thick lenses and black frames
And the girl around the corner laughed
when he asked her to go see Santa Claus
And the kids told him why
his mother and father kissed a lot
And his father never tucked him in bed at night
    And his father got mad
when he cryed for him to do it.
Once on a paper torn from his notebook
    he wrote a poem
And he called it "Innocence: A Question"
because that was the question about his girl
And thats what it was all about
And his professor gave him an A
    and a strange look
And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
    because he never showed her
That was the year Father Tracy died
And he forgot how the end
    of the Apostle's Creed went
    And he caught his sister
making out on the back porch
And his mother and father never kissed
    or even talked
And the girl around the corner
    wore too much makeup
That made him cough when he kissed her
    but he kissed her anyway
because that was the thing to do
And at three A.M. he tucked himself into bed
    his father snoring soundly
That's why on the back of a brown paper bag
    he tried another poem
And he called it "Absolutely Nothing"
Because that's what it was all about
And he gave himself an A
and a slash on each damned wrist
And he hung it on the bathroom door
because this time he didn't think
    he could reach the kitchen.

    There was a girl, that
    would sit on the roof
of her home in a state
    of euphoria as the
    skies cryed.
    And i would watch
    intently as she became
    drencehed in the tears
    of god, that cleaned
    her of the cruel words
    people spat at her.
    Any everytime, the
    blood would run from
    her wrists, removing
    any evidence of the
    blade she had taken to
    her own skin.
    2 weeks later i was
    awoken in the night, by
    sirens singing to the
    darkness, the song of
    death.
    And so i stumbled out
    of bed, to the window,
    only to see the girl
    lying motionless in a
    pool of red.
    I imagined her, falling
    through the sky, like
an angel, in a state of
    grace, and thought...
    If only the rain had
    been strong enough to
    penetrate her head,
    and kill her demons
    that hid in her mind,
    Maybe,
    she wouldn't have jumped.
