   ~Chapter 3~
   *RING*
   Everyone got up and made their way to lunch..except me.
   “Max. Max! MAX!”
   “Oh! Sorry, Holly..I just..umm..”
   “Come on, Max. I’m hungry! And you need to tell me what happened to put you in this..state.” Holly said the words, just as confused as I was.
   I had been thinking all morning. Mostly about him. About Cole. Why would he talk to ME?
   Once we walked into the cafeteria, we grabbed our food and sat at our normal seats, in the corner.
   “Explain.”
   “What?”
   “Max, explain what happened!”
   “Oh! Well….” I told her all about Cole, leaving her just as shocked as I was.
   “Have you seen him since then?” she asked.
   I opened my mouth to say no, but quickly closed it.

   Holly and I walked into the busy hallway.
   “Hey Holly!” some boys said walking by.
   I’ve gotta admit, Holly is one of the prettiest girls I’ve ever met. With that came all of the boy attention. Yet she had never truly had a relationship.
   “Gosh, Holly! First day of school and you already could have any guy you want!” I said with a wink.
   “Max, you know you’re just as pretty. Actually, you’re gorgeous. So quit acting like you’re not.”
   “Says the girl who always looks perfect..” I mumbled.
   “What?”
   “Nothing! Anyway, gotta get to my locker and first period. See you later Holls!”
   I walked through the crowded hallway, just to find Cole, THE hottest guy in schoo waiting at my locker.
   “Ummmm.. did they give me the wrong locker number?” I asked confused, “Cause Mrs. Liner always does silly things like-“
   “No.” He cut me off.
   “Then what are you doing here?”
   “Just came to say hi. Max, right?”
   “Yeah.. why?”
   “See ya around.” He said with a wink, leaving me standing in the hallway alone, everyone else already in their classes.
   I stood there until the tardy bell rang throughout the school, waking me from my trance.

   *5 Months Earlier*
   First day of school. More importantly, first day as an official Senior.
   I was so excited. This year would be awesome.
   I picked out a cute shirt that had leopard print and put on some black skinnys. After throwing on my sandals and tying my strawberry blond hair up in a high pony tail, I grabbed my bag and headed out the door.
   I drove to my best friend Holly's house.
   "Get in loser! We can't be late for our first day as Seniors!" I said laughing.
   "Okay! Okay!" She said while getting in,"Why so happy to get to school, Max?"
   "I don't know..I feel like it's going to be a great year," I said, smiling as I turned into the parking lot of Magnolia Highschool.
   "Alright Max. I hope you're right about having a great year.." Holly said unsure.
   "Don't worry Holls, it will be great!" I said with a wink.

   *Present Day*
   "What’s that piece of trash doing back here?”
   “I thought she was gone”
   “Is she really showing her face again?”
   “Has she looked at a mirror lately? Oh wait! They all cracked when she tried!”
   Everyone was pointing, staring, and laughing at the girl who tried to end it all. Who tried suicide.
   No one loved her, for even she didn’t love herself.
   Her acts were all unsuccessful, for here she was yet again. Walking the hallway of Magnolia High-school. Alone. Here she was yet again, the scars beginning to form on her wrists from years past. Here she was yet again feeling unloved. Here she was. But one thing she was not.
   She was not
   Broken
