Hey, all, my name is Rachel. Since school has started again I will try to get on more, but no promises (; I am in the middle of a story that I am pretty sure is going to turn out great, so go check it out! Also, feel free to leave me a comment or something, I try to respond as much as I can!
Now a little bit about mee:I L O V E summer time, and I am sooo sad it's over): Fall and the leaves changing, hot cocoa and uggs and hoodies are great, but I'm already missing summer): Anyways, I'm 15 and I've learned that being nice gets you much farther than almost anything else, and I live by the quote "People like people who like them." (-Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul) So that being said, I'm a pretty nice person and I am always here if you need to talk or want a favor, and I promise I don't bite. I don't really know how to handle the mean people on here, but sadly I will most likely delete your nonsense if you're hurting people's feelings or being negative. So have a nice day, and Enjoy!(:
Check out my stories guys!

    Chap. 6
Summer went fast. I worked most of the time, hung out with my neighbor Rory, and Forest a few times. Turns out the two knew each other. The night before school me and Rory compared schedules over the phone, and with the knowledge that we had first and second periods together I went to bed confidently.
The next day was pretty mild so I put on a brown shaggy off the shoulder sweater, some jean shorts, a beanie, accessories ,and my favorite brown boots. I braided my hair in a loose easy fishtail braid down my side and did my makeup. I grabbed my new Coach bag that I had worked my tail off for in addition to a brown draw string backpack, and my favorite lip gloss and set off on my skateboard. When I got to the highschool I navigated my way to my locker, stashed my bags, and I had begun to put my board in my locker when a hand smashed into the locker next to me, scaring the crap out of me. I turned to see some hulking white kid in a varsity jacket.
"Fresh meat," he breathed in my ear.
"Excuse me, I really need to go." This guy was just a typical douch/y jock. I remembered the names him like him would throw at my face after a night spent with them a day or two before.
"Hey, I'm just trying to be polite. I'm Ethan." He held out his hand. I had managed to shove my board into my locker and pick up my books by that time. I shut the locker and turned to face him.
"It's nice to meet you Ethan, really, but I have to go, I'm sorry." I sent him an apoogetic look and then skirted around him heading for my first class, scanning for Rory.

    Chap. 5
The next day I got up and put on a ruffle-front white shirt, some jean shorts, and a blue button up cardigan. I curled my hair and pinned a side back, and added a touch of mascara and some sparkly eyeshadow in the inside corners of my eyes. I slipped on my Nikes, grabbed my phone, and ran downstairs. I was going to apply for a job down the road at an icecream parlor.
I grabbed my long board and set off down the smooth sidewalk. As I passed the yellow house a few doors down, I saw Rory getting into her car and she waved and yelled Hi, and I waved back.
"Hey, come here for a minute!" she yelled and waved me over. I naviagted the board into her driveway and hopped off
"Are you going to Danforth High?" she asked.
    "Yeah, this coming fall."
"Oh, are you a junior this year?"
    "Yep!"
"Oh awesome, maybe we will have some classes together, I go there too." She smiled.
    "Sweet," I said, and grinned.
"Yeah, give me your number, I'll text you!"
She handed me her phone and I put my number in. I excused myself and we said goodbye and I skated off down the road, a smile plastered over my face.
Hey, it's been a while [: sorry. School started and I'll try to get on more!

    Chap. 4
I got to the store and wandered around until I got the idea of how it was set up, and to the shampoo isle. I picked out the shampoo and conditioners I needed and I figured why not pick up some tampons, I needed them. As I turned into the Feminine Products isle, I found two boys there. And they were both beyond hot. However, it was immediately obvious one of them was gay. Bummer.
"No, Playtex is the better one, cause it has the plastic. Let me tell you, the cardboard sh/t... Doesn't fly."
"But these ones are in a pink wrapper?" The other one (who appeared to be straight) asked in a confused voice.
"But they're cardboard Joey, cardboard! See, even ask her," the first one cried, spotting me. "Playtex or... whatever that is," he asked, looking at the latter choice with disdain.
"Oh definitely Playtex," I said smiling and walking over. "In fact that's just what I was about to get myself." I grabbed a box off the shelf.
"Who are you?" the extremely hot one, Joey, asked.
"I'm Mel," I said, smiling, but not too widely because he was obviously buying tampons for his girlfriend, and I had promised I wouldn't do any of that boyfriend stealing business here. "I just moved here."
"Oooh," the first one purred. "Look at your hair!" He lifted up a blonde tress. "Sooo silky. I'm Forest, by the way."
"Nice to meet you Forest," I said, hitching my tampons up under my arm pit and shaking his outstretched hand.
"So who are you buying... all this for?" I asked.
"Vanessa," said Forest, rolling his eyes.
"That's my girlfriend." Joey gave a pained smile. "Me and Forest have been friends since second grade, and well... Vanessa's kind of a homophobe."
"Oh no," I said, and he nodded solemnly.
"Well I had better get going, I have a room to decorate."
"Oh here, gimme your phone and I will put my number in! We will introduce you to people." Forest smiled at me and winked.
"Okay," I said, forking over my Blackberry.
Hey, I could use some friends here.
Ooh lookatdattt, meeting people! Haha thanks for reading, I will try to put up a new chapter soon. [:

    Chap. 3
I felt the pavement hit my head, but I didn't pass out. I opened my eyes and stared at the big black face in front of me with its big pink drool-coated tongue. The pressure on my chest was too heavy as I struggled to get the big dog off me. Suddenly he was pulled backwards and I sprang up.
"I'm sorry, I'm really so so sorry!" said a big, as she held onto his collar with both hands." She appeared to be his owner. "He likes to play, and well... he is a little unaware of his size." She giggled.
"Mmm," I said, nodding my head and pursing my lips.
"I'm sorry, I'm Rory, and you are?" She extended her hand.
"Mel," I said, getting up and rushing the dirt off my pants. "Well, it was nice to meet you and your..dog, but I have to go," I said, motioning in the direction of the store.
"Well alright I hope I'll see you around!" Rory said and smiled.
I think I might have just made a friend.
I'm sorry, I realize these first few chapters have been boring, but there's more exciting parts coming up soon, I promise [: thanks for reading and whatever feedback you give!

    Chap. 2
As the doors of Jefferson Highschool slammed behind me, I breathed out the breath I had been holding, practiccally since the beginning of the day. I never had to go back to that, the glares and names and negative atmosphere in there. It was time for a fresh start for me.
I would be moving to Oregon in seven days, and believe me, I was packed and ready to go. I would be spending the rest of the week with my two true friends, Ashley and Ben, who were dating, and miraculously one couple I had managed to not break up. I hopped in my little yellow car and kicked off my shoes and drove home.
    SEVEN DAYS LATER
I walked into my new room and set my bags down. The wall was a dark raspberry maroon color, just like it had been four months ago when me and my family came to check out the house. I started to unpack as the movers brought boxes up to my room, and I realised that I was out of shampoo three hours later when I was done with my bathroom. I decided to make a quick trip to the drug store down the street.
As I walked out of my house I glanced around, taking in the other houses and green lawns and the neighbors huge black Newfoundland. The Newfoundland that was running straight at me, full speed!

    Chap. 1
I never wanted to be the girl that everyone sneered at. I never wanted to be the one who was a sl/t or couldn't get her own guy. A boy-stealer, a back stabber, and a home wrecker. But these were all names I had wracked up for myself by the end of my Sophomore year at Jeffereson High, and honestly I had accepted that I would have to live with this title forever. I had given into the stereotypes the people made for me, and I didn't even think twice when people threw hurtful names around. I knew it was true, I ruined other girls relationships, I was the one other guys called when they were sick of their abstinant girlfriend or when they got in a fight over something stupid. I had even ruined marriages.
But when the opportunity for me to leave came, I jumped at it. I wanted to go somewhere new and prove to people that I was a good person too, and show everyone that I could be different. I wanted to prove I was not and would not be that girl, starting now.
Hey, if you're reading this, thank you so much [: I hope you like my story, and if you want to read more leave me a comment or like or feedback or something! Anything is appreciated [:

I walked over with the boy to his friends.
“Hey, by, the way, what’s your name?” he said looking over at me.
    “Cally,” I said.
“Well, nice to meet you Cally. I’m Casey.”
“Hi,” I said, smiling. As we drew near the fire, a couple of Casey’s buddies ran over and pounded his back or wrapped him in a headlock.
“Aw, Casey’s got a new lady friend,” one joked.
“One wasn’t enough, eh?” another said. I noticed a brown eyed, brown curly haired girl stood a couple steps away with an amused look on her face. I stood there awkwardly, and she saw me and walked over.
“Hi, I’m Rein,” she said, flashing a smile at me. I noticed the triangle pattern in her silver braces.
“Hi,” I said, offering a smile.
“Sorry about Casey. He’s social. He probably talked you into coming over here, didn’t he?”
“Yeah,” I said, letting her think she was right. That was the way people worked, they always liked you more if you told them they were right. “Are you guys…?” I trailed off, looking between her and Casey.
She laughed. “Yeah, we’re together. Have been for a while.” Then she lowered her voice. “It’s weird, he used to be… a player. Still is I guess.” She shrugged. “But he seems to like me pretty well.” She smiled again. “Here, let me introduce you around.” I gave her an encouraging smile and walked over with her to her gaggle of friends.

I ate a quick dinner of spaghetti and then I went back upstairs and retrieved my iPod and a pullover hoodie. I went back downstairs and out the front door, and down to the beach, where I sat, swishing my hands through the sand, and watching a group of teenagers play Frisbee and volleyball by a bonfire. The sun was starting to set and I looked out over the rippling waves and felt lonely, for the first time in my life. I had never wished I had friends, but now I did. I was looking down, scrolling through my playlist, when a red Frisbee hit me in the side of the face. I looked up and felt my cheeks flush as a guy jogged over.
“Oh, jeez, sorry about that,” he said, running his hands through his hair. I noticed he had on a worn green shirt that said Camp Sydney over blue and white swim trunks with triangles on them.
I handed him his Frisbee, trying not to look as angry and embarrassed as I felt. I stood up and brushed the sand off my knees and started to walk in the other direction.
    “Hey, wait,” the guy said.
    I turned. “Um, yeah?”
“Wanna play with us?” He held his Frisbee up and grinned. I had never touched a Frisbee in my life, and I knew it was a dumb idea to say yes, but I did.
    “Sure.”

I turned around and a boy with tousled brown curls, a dazzling smile, and deep green and brown eyes stood in front of me, close enough to touch, close enough to kiss. I could see the small brown triangles mixed into the flecks of green and yellow.
“Hi,” he said, with an accent. I didn’t react. I was frozen up. I did, however, thank each of the Roman Gods that I had given myself a makeover before I stepped out of that bedroom.
“Oh, I see you two have met,” said Jessica, coming up the staircase. “Cally, this is James. He’s my nephew, visiting us from Australia for the summer. James, this is Cally.”
“It’s nice to meet you,” he smiled, and tried again. I couldn’t think of anything else to say that wouldn’t make me sound dumb, so I just stood there. He gave me a look, a mixture of confusion and hurt, and brushed past me and down the stairs.
“Dinner is ready whenever you’d like to eat.” Jessica smiled at me.
I looked up. “Thanks,” I said. I mentally kicked myself for being such a moron.

I plunged into the closet full of clothes. My mom had told me to be polite, and it was nice of Jessica to think of me like that. Fifteen minutes later I turned back to the mirror. I had on dark shorts and a bright yellow tank to, with a flowy gray one over that. There were white socks and dark blue vans on my feet. Satisfied, I turned my attention to my face. I grabbed a hairbrush off the vanity to my right and brushed through my thick black locks. Then I braided it loosely, leaving a few pieces at the top free along with my bangs that had grown out a few inches and added a headband. Then, I went into the bathroom, ran a washcloth under the faucet and wiped all the harsh, black makeup off my face. I picked up some blue eye shadow and then some sparkly white that I found on the vanity. I brushed it onto my eyes and down under them. I glanced longingly at my black eyeliner but I didn’t touch it. Instead I picked up some Lash Blast mascara and put that on lightly. I rubbed some light pink lip gloss on my lips and took a final look in the mirror. (http://www.polyvore.com/untitled_38/set?id=37729295) I had gone from a seemingly dead girl to someone who looked relatively normal in about a half an hour. It amazed me how quickly an appearance can change someone. I felt different already. I looked at my piercing next to my right eyebrow. It wasn’t an eyebrow piercing exactly- those went into the skin on top of the eyebrow and came out under it. Mine was a simple platform piercing to the right of my eyebrow, a light blue stud. It could be dressed up or down, and I could pull it off as gothic or as cute. That was what my reasoning at the time had been, and it appeared to be correct. I smiled, something I hadn’t seen myself do in a while, and I was shocked at how much I didn’t recognize myself. I walked out into the hallway, and turned round to close the door behind me, and backed into something solid.

My room was nice. There was a big white bed with yellow and blue accenting, and a big window on the left. White curtains billowed out in front of the open window, and I smelled the salty sea breeze blowing in off the water. Jessica plopped my bag down on the bed, and told me dinner would be ready in a few hours and to come down whenever I wanted to eat.
“Oh, and I left you a little surprise in the closet,” she winked. “I always wanted a daughter.” With that she closed the door behind her and I heard her pad out and down the stairs. I cautiously approached the closet. I pulled open the big blue doors, and it revealed a closet full of girly, revealing clothes. I scowled and rolled my eyes. These were exactly the kind of clothes I didn’t wear. I caught a glance of myself in the body length mirror to the left of me on the wall. I saw a tall skinny ghost girl, her dark wild mane of hair tumbling down her back. She was as pale as paper. Her dark jeans were ripped on the bottom and the black long sleeve shirt she wore was bulky and bunched up around the wrists. The dark makeup coating her eyes didn’t make her look pretty. Suddenly, I felt the overwhelming urge to look beautiful. I looked at the girl in the mirror. Her eyes filled with tears. A skeleton hand rose up and touched the ends of her black hair. That girl in the mirror wasn’t me. She looked dead. I didn’t know how I got like that but I was going to fix it.
