There she sits
In the corner of her bed
Thinking about all the people she hurt
Looking at the scars on her arms
Wondering when she would hold that sharp blade in her hands again
Knowing the cost for what she’s doing but she doesn’t seem to care
She knows her friends don’t like it very much
They would yell at her if they found out.
So she’s trying to decide
Blade or Friends?
She chooses both.
She places the blade on her arm trying to figure out where she wants to make her slit.
That one slit that will relieve everything.
She’s got it. She pushes down hard on the blade until she sees the blood oozing out.
She makes the slit nice and long.
When she’s finished with her slit, she watches the blood.
Then she cleans everything up.
It’s a Friday, her and her friends had plans to go out.
She tries to find her sweater but she can’t find it.
Her rides here she’s trying to find that sweater
The one that will hide her secret cut
The one where she’s trying not to get in trouble for
All hell is loose when she doesn’t have her sweater
She’s worried someone is going to notice it
Then two seconds later, the lecture begins

I miss how I used to talk to them about everything
I miss being able to hang out with them
I miss having sleepovers with them
I miss scoping for hot guys with them
I just miss being around them
I guess I’m too annoying
I guess I talk too much
I guess I whine too much

I guess I bug them a lot…..
So now I see why they don’t hang with me.
