hi, steve. not sure if you remember me, but i was one of many who found a home within your site. when i joined i was twelve and alone and sad and determined that i was nothing and that i wasn't going to make it. i didn't think life was worth living. now i am twenty-one and i am so grateful to know that life is so worth living and that i am worth so much more than i ever thought i was. i graduated college in december (a semester early!) and now i have a whole adult (eep!) job in politics and i hope that i will make a difference in this world. there are no words to properly articulate how much this website has meant to me - within it, i found friends and realized that i wasn't alone in this. i found a place to pour out my heart and soul. i found a home. to this day, i still talk to the people i became close friends with when i was younger. this website gave me hope when i had none. the love and care that i got from witty is something i still carry with me. you would've thought by now my melodramatics would've mellowed out or something, but i'm still as dramatic as ever. i still have very bad days and there are more times then i'd like to admit where i don't think that i'll make it, but i know that i will make it through it (however painfully and reluctantly, i am here and that has to mean something). i know you never intended for this site to be taken over by a bunch of teenage girls to turn into their personal diaries, but as one of those teenage girls, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for creating this website. i hope that you're doing well and i am always always wishing you the best. (ALSO WHEN I WAS YOUNGER I ALWAYS ASKED IF I COULD SEE WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE and i simply feel that now i'm an adult so i should be able to know, you know?) anyways, thank you again, steve. for everything. reply

Hi! I've been okay, I'm a sophomore in college now and it's so hard to believe how much time has flown by! I remember talking to you when you were starting college and being amazed that you were a college student!

also it's not even like i can justify being so overdramatic all the time i'm nineteen now and i just feel despair and i'm sick of bein this way and also everything in the world is so sad now too :( reply

hi steve it's me anyways i got kind of bad grades this semester and i think i'm losing an academic scholarship bc my gpa dropped like .02 under and i'm still sad and i think i let my sadness get in the way of my grades and i got a job that correlates to my major perfectly but i suck at it and the guy i like doesn't like me back which shouldn't even matter honestly and everything else just sucks and at this point in time i just feel defeated help :( reply

This is the best time of your life! Young! Healthy! In school! Employed! If you feed overwhelmed, take it 30 minutes at a time. You are a student and still learning (by definition). You will get better at your job. When you are surrounded by other people the same age and in the same circumstances it is inevitable you will find love and friendship. Enjoy the holiday break! reply
