Okay Witty it's time for some truth
When I first joined I was happy. Then things took a bad turn when my first serious boyfriend, Trevor, broke up with me and went out with my "best friend." Since then my quotes have been about boys. Never anything deeper than that. Now it's time to go deeper.
My Mom and I have never had a good relationship. She is very controlling and strict. All my life I've lived in the shadows of my older siblings. They are both going to be in the medical field. My brother, 20, is going to be a nuero surgeon. my sister,18, is going to be a nurse. They both were amazing at soccer and other athletic stuff. I never have been. My whole family is about sports. Except me. I don't want to be a doctor, or nurse, or sugeon. I hate hospitals. It took my parents a while to realize I wasn't going to be like my brother and sister. They still don't fully support my dream which is to be a song writer/ singer. They say I have a talent for it but they don't believe I can do it.
I had a friend that had serious depression and I wold be the one to cheer him up. When my parents found out they made me cut off our friendship. He started to cut afterward.
When I started questioning my orientation, my parents didn't support me. My friends who knew did.
When my great aunt and dog died in the same week I was sad. My Mom threatened to send me to a therapist if I didn't cheer up.
My Mom also told me to get a boyfriend to help my self esteem. Who does that? Can I not be happy without one? Then when I did get one, she hated him even though she never had a full conversation with him.
My parents have never liked my style. They want me to dress like everyone else does. That isn't what I want.
My parents have never truly supported me.
