Today, I felt like a part of something awesome —
the human race. I know it can be ugly; it really is in so many ways. But today, there
was nothing ugly to see, just people trying to be better. And maybe that’s the key. Not
resolutions and forgotten promises, but instead a commitment to do this year a little

Girls, he's not always going to be
Prince Charming. He's not always going to buy you flowers on holidays. He's
going to want to watch the movies he likes. Sometimes he's going to want to go
out with buddies on Friday nights. He's got important things he's saving up for,
so he can't always buy you dinner. He probably won't always be able to talk

right in front of the stairwell they were about to climb, he stopped abruptly and held
her still. "i love you" he whispered quietly, almost silently. "i love you more, i bet" said
the girl, who couldn't hold back a smile. he reached into his right pocket and pulled out
a small navy blue box. he then opened it, and out came a sterling silver necklace with a
heart locket dangling at the end. "this is for you, my love" he said to her, who had no words
to say. he reached around her neck and fastened the ends together. the necklace then hung
down her neck. with tears forming in her eyes, she looked at him and gave him the biggest
hug she ever gave. "you are my world" they said to each other, grasped their hands back together,
and walked on. behind them, teachers stood and stared. one, a science teacher, dropped her jaw
while a math teacher, letting out a sigh, said,
"now that's what love is♥"

completely? That's what love is. It's ( crying ) for something you don't

even if the situation is ( hopeless ). It's feeling that twinge in your spine,
