About Me

Hi there. My name is Maddy, and I'm fifteen years old. I live in an itty bitty town where everyone's fake and/ or on drugs. And I'm not exaggerating on that point.
Basically, this is a place for me to turn to. My home life isn't great right now, and neither is my social life...what can I say, I'm an awkward person. =P
I like to act all tough and mighty, but I'm really, really not. At all. No one believes me when I tell them, but it's true.
I'm just trying to find myself in this screwed up world we live in. If I do say so myself, I'm not doing a very good job.
Well, I just want to say that if anyone ever needs anything, I'm here to listen, even though I'm probably not the best person to be giving life advice.
Alright...well, bye now!
Random Stuff

I don't actually have anything to say here, I just needed to fill up this other box.

Oh, if I may make a music suggestion. For those of you who like Pop, Hero by Superchick.
For those of you who like heavier stuff, Tears Don't fall by Bullet for My Valentine.
Any rap people out there? Is Anybody Out There by Kaanan featuring Nelly Furtado.
But the best, over all of these songs, is Side to Side by Tyler Carter. Not sure why I like that song...

    I need your help. Badly.
(This has to do with s*x. If that offends you, you might just want to move along. It's also really long...)
My friend is fourteen years old as of January. She's always been pretty popluar with the guys, due to her unbelieveable curves and bubbly personality. Don't be fooled, she's no s/ut, I promise. Just a kiss here and there, maybe making out once.
But this time...I think she's making a huge mistake.
She's always been worried about her "first time" happening because she was being used for something. She's told me many times before that she just kind of wants to get it over with.
Enter sixteen-year-old boy she's known for years. She's liked him for a while, and she was sure to inform me that she totally, completely, one-hundred percent trusts him. With her life, she claims.
So, I'm sure most of you have put two and two together by now. If you haven't, let me spell it out for you.
The two of them decided that they were going to do it...they set a date and everything. I know him, and I do like him as a person, but I really don't think that he should have given her the option to begin with.
I don't agree with this. At all. In fact, I think they're both being stupid. I feel like I need to try and convince her to reconsider, because she's my best friend and I'm the only perosn who knows about this. I don't want to see her get hurt, or get into any kind of trouble (if you know what I mean...).
She's fourteen. Am I the only one who thinks that's a little young? I'm not saying anyone who has done this at that age or earlier are bad people, I just think it's too young for her in particular. Everyone's different.
Also, he's done this before. Multiple times. She knows, but she doesn't care. I probably wouldn't care either, if it were one or two people. But I'm not talking one or two people, I'm talking somewhere between eleven and thirteen seperate people at sixteen years old. She knows that too- he told her.
And of course, she's not on the pill, and we all know (or should know) that the other way isn't foolproof. This is one of the things I don't think she really understands either. I mean, yes, you are technically being safe. But wouldn't you want to take every precaution available?
Can you see why I'm a bit worried? Don't get me wrong- I'm no religious "No s*x until marraige." type person. I just can't help but feel that she's too young, too mentally unprepared for this. I honestly don't believe that she's thought this through.
And I'm not completely blaming him either. Yes, it was his idea, but she agreed. He told her things about him that might change her mind and cause her to back out, and he asked her multiple times if she was sure, but she had made up her mind by then.
Now, I know that it's really none of my business, and I told her more than once that if this is what she really wants, I can't stop her. And I won't, if she does go through with this.
I know that you probably don't care. I really just wanted to get some opinions. Do you think I'm right to disagree with this? What do you think about this?
Thanks for reading, if you did.

    Chapter 1, Part 2.
    "Dylan what?" He asked.
    "Covington," I replied automattically.
"Oh, so a famous Covington is coming to visit me in prison. I suppose I should be grateful, huh?"
"No," I muttered, crossing my arms, and he simply scoffed.
"Hi, Dylan," He replied sarcastically. "I meant why are you here?"
"Because," I answered simply, and I thought that sounded like an answer a mother would give when she didn't have a good one.
    "That's not a good answer."
"I know," I simply stated with a shrug.
"Okay, Dylan," He muttered, leaning forward in his seat and putting his elbows on the table. "Why are you here talking to me?"
"Because the gaurd told me you didn't get many visitors."
"So?" He asked. "What's that to you?"
I paused for a second and stared at him before giving an answer. "I just wanted to do something different."
"Different from what?" He fired back.
"Everyone else at church," I answered, without really thinking about it. I really should have.
"Alright, so I'm your new chairity projectt," He mumbled, shaking his head. "Good to know."
"It's not like tha-" I began to defend myself, but he cut me off, standing up from his chair.
"Look, Dylan. I'm not interested in being your chairity case. Go home, go back to church, just go away. And don't come back," He rambled, calling for the gaurd to let him out as soon as he finished talking to me.
Just like that, he was gone, and I was taken out of the visitor center. It was a weird thing for me, meeting someone who didn't like me all that much. Or rather, meeting someone who didn't even give me a chance. Usually, when people hear my last name, they grovel at my feet. But not Carter.
And that's why I'd be back tomorrow.
    ***
That night, Carter Stone lay in his bunk, thinking about the mysterious visitor he had suddenly recieved. Well, not so much mysterious as unexpected.
Though he would never admit otherwise, he was slightly moved by the fact that she diecided to come and talk to him, even if it was only for a minute.
Truth be told, he had wanted her to stay and keep talking to him, because he hadn't talked to a person his age who wasn't a criminal for as long as he could remember.
The first thing he noticed about Dylan was her startling blue eyes. They weren't crystal-clear, like the way you hear blue eyes described in movies. They weren't even murky, as you see dscribed in books. They simply just...were. They held some green, and specks of brown. They were unlike anything he had ever seen. He couldn't get them out of his head.
Just before he fell asleep, Carter found himself wishing that he could get just one more glimpse of those eyes that were etched into his mind.
    Hope you enjoyed!

To all you guys out there, I have some advice for you.
If you want to impress a girl, then listen closely.
There are two main kinds of women (main being the key word there):
The first is the kind of girl who responds to flattery. Tell her she's pretty, smart, interesting, whatever. Compliment the crap out of her.
The second is the kind of girl who responds to being messed with. Joke around, be silly, make her laugh.
Now, the hard part is figuring what type of girl you are dealing with. If you can do that, you've got yourself a chance. This can help you get a girl, but it can't help you keep her.
You have to figure that out by yourself.

Pretty long...but read ahead if you want.
So, apparently I have an eating disorder.
    No, not anorexia or bulimia.
The only reason I figured this out was because my grandmother suggested that my overly-picky eating was something mental. She brought up the topic when she gave me applesauce.
I cannot stomach applesauce. I get sick everytime I eat it, and sometimes feel sick just smelling it. I won't eat anything that looks or feels like applesauce, such as mashed potatoes or Jell-O. I couldn't even finish a Hershey's Air because of the way it looked. There is so much more, but well save that for another story.
I didn't believe her theory for a second, and she challenged me to see what I could find on it. This is what I found.
It's called Selective Eating Disorder (SED).
With SED, you only eat very specific foods, and you avoiod things with specific textures, or avoid entire food groups.
You get nervous when you go to parties or dinners because you worry there will be nothing you like, and people will think less of you for it.
You get physically sick by simply looking at or smelling a specific kind of food.
You make up excuses when there's nothing you like just to avoid the topic, and often have panic attacks when forced to eat something.
You almost never feel full, due to the limitations of your diet, often find yourself craving sweets to fill yourself. (Meaning, you could eat a full meal and be stuffed, yet become hungry an hour later and go looking for chocolate or the like.)
All of the things I have just listed are taken to extreme extents with SED.
It can seriously affect a person's health, in the same way anorexia or bulimia could.
SED isn't offically classified as a mental desease just yet, but it very well could be as early as May of next year.
Those who study SED say that it belongs in the same category as anorexia nervosa and bulimia. I don't know if this is true, of course, but SED is very, very real.
No one had looked into this until quite recently, and as I already mentioned, it's not officially classified as a mental disorder. Therefore, there are almost no forms of treatment, no specialists, and no shrinks you can see about it.
In otherwords, there's nothing anyone can do about it yet.
I only recently started looking into this...but I am so, so scared right now.
If you read this, thanks. If you didn't, oh well. I just didn't know where else to turn.

My grandma told me stories about my grandfather today.
He died in a car crash right after my mom was born, so I never knew him. My mom never even knew him.
My grandma doesn't really talk about him too often, so I really didn't know anything about him other than his name was Jack.
But today, when I watched her talk about him, she had this look in her eyes, and the biggest smile on her face...you could just tell. You could tell that even though he's been gone for 40+ years, she still loves him with all of her heart.
It was absolutely amazing to watch, the way her face lit up when she talked about him.
And I knew. I knew that, had he still been alive today, they would have been no less in love than they were forty-six years ago.
And I know that I want that someday. <3

they hurt her. RIP. After lunch, her teacher announced that the school was holding a fire drill. When the alarm sounded, Carmen and the other students filed out of the classroom and assembled in the yard outside. As the teachers read out the roll call, the gang of five girls decided that this was a great opportunity to embarrass Carmen in front of the whole school during the fire drill. They moved over to where Carmen was standing, near a sewer drain, and began crowding the poor girl, getting in her face and nudging her towards the open manhole. They pushed her and she tripped over and fell head-first down the manhole. When they saw her falling, the girls started giggling and when Carmen’s name was called out, they shouted "She’s down in the sewer!" All of the other students began laughing. But when the teachers looked down the manhole and saw Carmen’s body lying at the bottom in the muck and the poop, the laughter abruptly stopped. Her head was twisted around at an odd angle and her face was covered in blood. Worse still, she wasn’t moving. There was nothing any of the teachers could do for her. Carmen was dead. When the police arrived and went down into the sewer, they determined that she had broken her neck. Her face had been torn off when she hit the ladder on the way down and her neck snapped when she landed on her head on the concrete at the bottom. The police hauled Carmen’s body out of the sewer and sent her to the mortuary. Everyone had to stay behind after school while the police questioned all of Carmen’s classmates. The five girls lied to the police, saying they had witnessed Carmen falling down the sewer. The police believed the girls and Carmen Winstead’s death was ruled an accident and the case was closed. Everyone thought that was the last they would hear of Carmen Winstead, but they were wrong. Months later,Carmen’s classmates began receiving strange e-mails on their MySpaces. The e-mails were titled "They Pushed Her" and claimed that Carmen hadn’t really fallen down the sewer, she had been pushed. The e-mails also warned that the guilty people should own up and take responsibility for their crime. If they didn’t there would be horrible consequences. Most people dismissed the e-mails as a hoax, but others were not so sure. A few days later, one of the girls who pushed Carmen down the sewer was at home taking a shower, when she heard a strange cackling laugh. It seemed to be coming from the drain. The girl started to freak out and ran out of the bathroom. That night, the girl said goodnight to her mom and went to sleep. Five hours later, her mom was awoken in the middle of the night, by a loud noise that resounded throughout the house. She ran into her daughter’s room, only to find it empty. There was no trace of the girl. The worried mother called the police and when they arrived, they conducted a search of the area. Eventually, they discovered the girl’s grisly remains. Her corpse was lying in the sewer, covered in muck and poop. Her neck was broken and her face missing. It had been completely torn off. One by one, all of the girls who pushed Carmen that day were found dead. They had all been killed in exactly the same way and were all found at exactly the same spot. In the sewer at the bottom of the same uncovered manhole where Carmen had met her doom. But the killing didn’t stop there. More and more of Carmen’s former classmates were found dead. It seemed that anyone who didn’t believe that Carmen had been pushed, was eventually found down in the sewer with their necks broken and their faces torn off. They say that Carmen’s ghost is still on the rampage, hunting down anyone who doesn’t believe her story. According to the legend, Carmen will get you, whetherit’s from a toilet, a shower, a sink or a drain. When you go to sleep, you’ll wake up in the sewer, in complete darkness, paralyzed, unable to move, hearing cackling laughter all around you. Then, as you scream in horror, Carmen will come and tear your face off. So be careful who you bully, because you just might find yourself on the receiving end of the curse of Carmen Winstead. FACT: About two months later,16-year-old David Gregory read this post and didn't repost it. When he went to take a shower, he heard laughter, started freaking out, and ran to his computer to repost it. He said goodnight to his mom and went to sleep, but five hours later, his mom woke up in the middle of the night from a loud noise and David was gone. A few hours later, the police found him in the sewer, with a broken neck and the skin on his face peeled off. Even Google her name -you'll find this to be true. If you don't repost this saying "They hurt her," then Carmen will get you, either from a sewer, the toilet, the shower,or a drain. Sorry guys, I got really scared. O.O

    Preface.
It was a chruch project that brought Dylan Convington and Carter Stone together.
Fifteen-year-old Dylan was the preacher's daughter. Innocent, polite, beautiful, and well-behaved. She had money, and a good family, and everyone loved being around her. She was that kind of person that could make you smile with absolutely no effort.
Fifteen-year-old Carter was from the other side of the tracks. His mother was a drug addict, and his father was never around. Carter was the sole provider for his three little siblings, but when he lost his job, he had to resort to stealing to live. He went three whole months without getting caught, but when he was caught, he was found guilty and sent to the Juvenile Detention Center of Scranton.
Dylan's chruch gave everyone one of those "better the community" projects. They were challenged to go out and make someone's day, in any way they could. Dylan, being the over-achiever that she was, had to go one step farther. She went down to the local juvy and asked to speak to someone who didn't get many visitors. This is where Carter came in to our little tale.
I could say that the pair hit it off the second they began talking, but that would be a flat-out lie. In fact, the only reason Dylan returned to see Carter was because he told her not to do so. For some time, the two didn't get along, yet Dylan returned day after day.
    Oh boy.
Well, that was the preface. I don't know if any of you will be interested in this, but I figured I'd try. Most of the story will be told in first person, by the way. Not third like it is here. I set it up like this for a reason that I will not name right now, I just thought you should know.
Alright...well, I hope you liked it. Let me know what you thought!
