Chapter 1
The bell for the dismissing of first period suddenly deafened all of my class. We started packing up, and everybody headed for the door, relieved that class was over so they could hang out. I was about to walk out when Mr Hunter told me to come to him.
"Charlotte, I have noticed that you have been painting your nails durin class, is this true?" he questioned me with one eyebrow raised.
"Yes, sir, sorry sir"
He shooed me away with an impatient gesture and a sarcastic flirty twirl of imaginary hair. I hate him. I hate him a lot.
I joined the popular gang by the toilets, asking them what's up.
"Hey, I'm having a party at mine all night, your all invited too!" Grace, the most popular girl who hated me with all her guts said with a dirty glance at Tyger, my crush. Then, she noticed me.
"Oh, I guess you can come, but be sure to cover that face with some newspaper, we don't want to make the boys cry with pain, do we now?" She said in a mocking voice, and all the boys crowded round her laughed.
Why her? Why does she have to crash the rain on my day? I walked away, to my locker to have some alone time. I was so busy daydreaming I didn't realise Tyger was standing right behind me. I jumped with shock and also a hint of excitement. I knew he loved Grace, it kills me to think it, say it, KNOW IT, but it's true.
He slammed my locker door and opened his mouth to say something...
