   Want to know what Junior High is like?
   Pure CRAP!
   All your BFF'S from elementary schol ditch you for the most popular person in school. Then they seperate themselves into cliques. It's like we're segregated. Of course, Tori Lancaster, A.K.A the ringmaster, is the 'it' girl og Orange Hills Junior High.Everyone wants to be her friend. The poor saps that even make it that far are used to plot revenge for the nobody's and then thrown away for someone else. Lucky me I'm a nobody. Me and my BFF, Holly, rule the rejects... Just kidding. It would be an honor to have that much power, but we don't have anymore power than the mice in the school's kitchen.
   Now let's talk about Little Miss Perfect (Tori). She's your typical popular girl. The only thing thats different is Tori is pretty darn smart! The teachers don't know she is because she acts like she has the IQ of a rock in school. Maybe less than a rock. She fakes getting a C on her report card at school while I'm lucky to get a freaking C- in every subject! And guess what! I have tutoring and my CRUSH is my tutor!!! My crush is Daryn!! Oh my word he's so CUTE with his leather jacket and all that! I can hardly pay attention to the work I'm supposed to do when he's tutoring me.
   Another thing or two about Tori Lancaster, that girl has serious problems and should go back into the rat hole she got shot out from. Anyway, while walking to homeroom with Holly, surprise surprise, Tori and her posie comes 'flawlessly' walking in like in a freaking movie. I nearly had a heart attack by seeing how much theyabuse name brands. " Ahhh!!!! My eyes!!!!! It burns!!!!!!!!," I shouted. Of course I was being over dramatic, but it was payback for what she did to me but that's another story. When I said that Holly dramaticly fake fainted with her hand on her head. "Oh look! The freeak show came to town and forgot these two clowns! How much was that shirt Zoey? Did you get it on sale at the Dumpster Shop? I heard they just got a junk truck full of new stuff!," smirked Tori while batting her pretty little eyes like she was putting a spell on me. "At least I'm not made out of plastic! Are you sure you weren't made in China? I mean fake face,body,personality? Sweeite you belong on the barbie shelf at Plastic Mart.," I quickly replied back. That made her shut up. Then the bell rang. We all hurried to homeroom. Tori pushed me away from her. Thank God Tori isn't in my homeroom.
   Everything was horrible at school, the usual, Tori embarrassed me, I kept staring at Daryn, and Holly and I were complete goof balls.
   The next morning I deicided to go to Holly's house early in the morning just to give her the creeps.

   Honestly, I don't mind Zoey going on about her utterly strong feelings about how much Orange Hills High is a repeating 1920's: Flappers, segregation, and people feel like they need all the latest stuff, which brings me to this: Zoey and I made an agreement to never wear name brands; It's just an advertising scam, and the prettier the body, the more potential customers. Hollister must make a truckload off of Tori Lancaster and Courtni McQuire.
   But anyway, I agree with most of the junk she says. Well, except for her sappy thoughts of Daryn and his leather jackets. They are great friends and both obviously adore eachother. The only thing holding them back is that Daryn's popularity is on the line, but I can't say I would make the same decisions if I were in his position, but their friendship would definitely be screwed. And that's probably the main reason for his hesitation.
   I stopped thinking about how messed up my highschool life seemed and typing half of a report due in two weeks; it was time to go to bed. I dressed for bed,

   lay down, wanting to tap on my laptop a while longer,but I had a long day, not a bad day, just long. Ordering that new pair of slippers could wait. I quickly dozed off,but woke up in a cold sweat. I quickly recollected my place in this world, when that brought me back to my horrific dream: I started kissing Daryn while Zoey madeout with Jared! Then I laughed out loud, mostly at the fact that neither of us would even get that close to eachothers' crush. I went to the kitchen for water, even though I hate water, when I heard my phone's ringtone, Reading A Book by Julian Smith, back in my room.
   "UM....Hello?" I said into the phone after glancing at my clock that read 12:37.
   "Hey... are you free tomorrow?"
   This voice reminded me of Jared's. It was him.
   "Yeah nevermind, you don't like pizza."
   This made me wake up from this weird dream. I LOVE pizza! Phew, and to be asked out and rejected in the same sentence? A FLIPPING NIGHTMARE! Well it was, so...
   I noticed sunlight sneaking through my purple curtains. The alarm clock now read 5:15, the usual time of the rising of Holly Reed. Right now, I figured Zoey would still be dozing off and about to sleep in, so I texted her.
   The text read, " Get up you flipping potato!!"
   ....The usual....
   But to my surprise, she answered immediately with a "I was up you tomato. I'm at your door. Open up."

   POPULARITY didtates modern schools, no matter what society considers to be perfect; whether it's being the smartest, best dressed, most showy, who has the most makeup, or the overlord who gets all the guys. Me? I fall into none of those categories, because I am certainly not popular. In fact, I'm more of the socially awkward turtle that has never gotten the guy. Well, me and my bestie Zoey.
   You can call me Holly Lilac Reed, unless you're Tori Lancaster. Then, youcan call me The Walking Freakshow.
   In this story, two friends find out what their place REALLY is, who they can trust, and who they shouldn't mess with. Basically, they figure out where they stand.
