Chapter 7 Marie's POV
Fruity Berry Blasts are my favorite kinds of smoothies. “Almost done?” I ask Emma. “Chill,” She says. Emma and Mom make the best smoothies. “One sec. I’m going to go turn on the TV.” Mom said. “Okay.” I said. RING! RING! My cell phone went off. “Hello?” I said. All I heard on the other line was heavy breathing, screaming, and panic crying. “Oh, I get it. It’s a prank call. Congrats, you got me. Can I go now?” I asked. “No, no, not a ... not a....prank...call.” The other line said. There was panting. “What? Who is this?” The voice was panicking. “Andrea.” Great. She wanted to apologize. Must she need to make it so dramatic? “Andrea, what?” I asked. “Plane..plane.” Oh, Fiji. “What?” I asked. “BREAKING NEWS! Plane crashes from Fortlauderdale airport going to Fiji. We’re not sure how many survivors but-” I cut the TV off. “MOM! ANDREA IS ON THE PHONE WITH ME RIGHT NOW!” Mom and Emma stop what they’re doing. “Okay, Andrea, we know whats going on. We’ll call for rescues. My uncle has a private jet. He’ll come looking for you. We’ll help you it’ll all be okay.” I said. “Okay...than...than...k” Andrea was breathing heavily when a mans voice came onto the phone. “She won’t be needing help. I’ve got this under control. Call back again and I’ll take you and your family where I’m taking this young lady. I’d let you say your goodbye’s, but it’d be worthless. Say goodbye to your little friend.” And just like that, the voice was gone.
