Homework.
Here I am, all alone,
working on this page.
Sitting here, world unknown,
writing for no wage.
My stomach aches,
my friends take breaks
but I want to get this done.
"I hate homework"
I moan and groan,
but teachers think it's fun.
I grab my pen, and write and write,
'til my fingers cramp and bleed.
"I hate homework"
I say again, mumbling into my sleeve.
