chapter 2
We sat in the taxi for what seemed like an hour. Mid-way I put in my earbuds and started to relax to Tyler, The Creator. My life long hero. In my mind I was going along with all the lyrics, I knew them by heart. I glanced over to Katey, she had fallen alseep. I wouldn't blame her. She had to sit next to an annoying twelve year old complaining about how her boyfriend broke up with her. But me on the other hand took some medicine to make me drowsy and was alseep the entire time.
She was really quiet when she slept, though made the most interesting faces ever. I giggled to myself, but quietly, trying not to wake her.
"Here's the place." The driver said.
"Thanks," I smiled. "Here's some money, keep the change." I handed him money that was too much for and thirty minute ride. He thanked me and I shook Katey awake.
"We're here, wake up." I said in a calming voice.
Katey then got her bag and we left the taxi. The driver was kind enough to get out of the car and get our suitcases for us. I thanked him and offered to pay him more, but he said it was alright.
I had a fedish of always giving more to people than what they really needed. But hey, I just liked seeing a smile on everyone's face.
We rolled our bags to the front door of the house, I took the key I had and unlocked the door. It smelt like a fresh orange-y smell. It felt so much like home. We rolled our bags in and chose our rooms and immediately started to get settled in. The quicker we did the boring stuff the sooner we'd could start filming and doing challenges.
I rolled my suitcases into a green room, fully furnished, a queen sized bed, and lots and lots of room. I took my laptop and phone and plugged them in. I unzipped my first suitcases and dumped all of my shoes. I brought close to twenty pairs. I went over to what looked like a closet door, but it was a personal bathroom. I walked in and saw that everything was perfect condition. The stainless steel shining perfectly, the black granite was just so unique. The walk in shower had no dirt, and the white marble bathtub what spotless. Best house ever, I thought to myself.
I stepped out of the bathroom, back into the bedroom and went to the other door, this being the giant walk in closet, with shoe racks that I laid all of shoes gently on. Then finding that they had left hangers for us to use I rolled in my suitcase that had clothes in and hung every piece of clothing that I could managed to hang up. Still leaving quite a bit behind. I put the rest in the wood dresser in the bedroom. Along with my jewlery case.
Then getting to my hair products and makeup, putting them into the bathroom ever so neatly, then filling up the tub, to take a warm bath. Cleaning myself of filth, it seemed so unneccesary to be dirty in such a wonderful house.
When I finished my bath I put on some denim shorts, a Frank Ocean sweatshirt, and a pair of black Vans. Then drying my hair, I did a messy flipped pony tail. I put in some bird earrings and an arrow ring that were both a dark silver color. I darkened my eyelashes and swiftly lined my eyes with black. I did this quickly so I could go get Katey and we could be exploring Melbourne. Because that's where we were, Melbourne, Australia.
I ran out of my room and saw Katey. She was in the same clothes, I don't know why I half expected her to do what I did and take a bath, but hey, my mind was full of things I didn't quite understand.
"So what do you wanna do?" I asked her.
"I dunno, Mac, what do you think we should do?" She asked me.
"Film?" I suggested.
"Well it is Tuesday..." She laughed.
"Get the camera, and lemme get my bag and we can go." I told her and ran back into my room.
Oh, how I adored that room. I wondered if it was forsale, I would actually consider buying a summer home.
I unplugged my phone and grabbed my Adidas bag and met Katey back in the den.
It had a high ceiling and was a very plain, but had a bery decorative theme to it.
We walked out the door and onto the sidewalk. We could hear our shoes patter.
Katey turned on the camera and I put on my fakest smile, opening up our videos like I normally do, with a creepy/fake smile.
"Hi guys!!" I screamed into the camera.
"Guess where we are??" Katey yelled.
"AUSTRALIA!!" We both screamed in unison.
We ran and screamed and got into people's way. Trying our best not to laugh. But we had a whole new crowd that wouldn't be use to our stupid ways.
We kept running until we found a lot that had a tan couch. I saw it and sprinted towards it, Katey did her best to catch up with me with the camera.
I got up to it and jumped on it. I played music on my phone and had the biggest dance party ever. Doing all the worst dance moves you could think of.
That is until Katey said my name very slightly.
"Mac...." She whispered.
"Kathy, you're ruining my mojo." I told her. I turned around and saw the five most cutest boys ever staring and me and snickering.
I jumped down off the couch, and sprinted away. Fast as I could. Normally I don't get embarrassed but they were just too cute to see what I was doing. It was just too awkward.
