Just because i am a girl does not mean that i am totally in love with make-up and the color pink.
It does not mean that I am head-over-heels for shopping and won't wrestle around or play sports.
Being a girl does not make me a good cook or un-intelligent or boy crazy
Just because i am a girl does not mean i am a horrible person towards other girls.
it does not mean i am weak.
It does not mean i can be controlled
. And it does not mean that i don't have my own opinion.
Being a girl does not make me want to do something girly in for a job.
Being a girl does not mean my hair always has to be perfect or that i have to be dressed well.
Just because i have a few scratches or cuts it does not mean i did them to myself or i was abused.

You know what I've seen?
People are just mean. I know we hear it a lot, but maybe we don't see it.
Tonight I was called ugly by two guys, who had never met me. They saw the cuts on my hand forced my sleeve up. They didn't know me. Not even my name. But they looked at the scars and cuts on my body and assumed. They thought they knew me. They made fun of me. They jumped at me to scare me. They pointed out every flaw I have, until I wanted to cry. When I refused too let my gaurd down and cry for them, they got worse. They started scaring me more. They made it so I was shaking and didn't want too move. They thought it was funny. They made up things about my personallity that flawed. Then they left. Walked away.
These two boys, who didn't even know my name, totally destroyed my confidence. Becuase it was funny to them.
What type of world do we live in?

I have a big brother
When we were younger we'd do everything together
we'd watch tv
we'd play on the nintendo 64
we even had tea parties together.
On rainy days him and I would just sit on top of the shed and try to count how many lightning bolts we would see.
on summer days he would help me over-come my fear of heights, and teach me how to jump off the porch .
When he accidentally gave me a black eye in first grade, he took care of me.
When I had a crush on a guy he would find out who that boy liked.
My brother always took care of me.
3 years ago he joined the army.
Last summer he was sent to Iraq. Then transferred to Kuwait.
Still he constantly tried to write to me or call me, to help me when I needed it.
He just came back into the states a few nights ago.
I love you big brother

I Don't Understand
Ever since we met you've hated me. But I've done nothing to you or your friends. You give me dirty looks and I've heard you talk about me. I've done nothing but be nice to all of you. Maybe I'm just not good enough?

I'm afraid I'm going too loose you to her. I've heard enough stories, listened to enough songs, to know the longer you've been friends the stronger the bond. Maybe It's silly. But I'm afraid.
