    I really don’t know what I’m supposed to say to you. I’m sorry that I didn’t let you live. I don’t know how far along we were when you died, but I hope that you didn’t feel anything.
    Before Mom even told me I was a twin, I somehow knew. I couldn’t tell you how, but I did.

    Dear Shelby:
    You are my only biological sister. And I do love you, but hear me out:
    Sometimes you annoy me. You always “brag” about being a ‘backseat driver’ or about how you can draw. (Which, may I add, you really aren’t that great.) You are always saying things randomly, yelling things out during a movie about random things that happened during production or facts about the actors. Honestly, I don’t really care. You repeat things that I have said over and over and think they’re funny when the funniness ran out twenty repetitions ago. The ‘inside jokes’ that you think we have aren’t that inside or funny and, quite frankly, what you think is funny, I don’t. When you repeat ‘Yellow bugs!’ over and over, I get annoyed by it. And I know you like my friends, but please, stop trying to win them over with a Jeff Dunham video. I feel left out when we are always in your room or watching what you wanna watch on TV or a movie you wanna see. When my friends and I go out for a movie night, I don’t ask you to go because you talk during movies and text and it’s not cool.
    You know how next week Mom and I are going with Tabetha, Ms Mo and Kim to Montana? You weren’t invited so ‘don’t take time off’ to go with us. And don’t feel left out because who knows what you and Dad are gonna do when we’re gone? Besides, last week, you went to Elaine’s graduation, I didn’t; you went to Vegas, I didn’t; you had a night out with Aunt Tess, I didn’t.
    And stop threatening to quit your job and sell your art online, there’s a reason you didn’t make it into Art College on a scholarship.
    Another thing, you act so tough, but I don’t see you doing anything tough. Sitting on the computer all day talking to people you only know over the Internet doesn’t seem tough to me.
    Also, please stop acting like I’m your best friend. The only reason for that is because you don’t get out to make friends. The only friends you have are those on Facebook, Church, DeviantArt, my friends, and me.

    Dear Mom:
    There are a lot of things that I need to tell you.
    First off, when Morgan was here, and you refused to take her to the hospital or let her sit outside because the chemicals hurt her, I realized that you aren’t the best mother out there. I think you care, but maybe you should care more.
    You think you know what’s best for me, but when you don’t let me sleep in and miss church every once in a while, do you really think that I’m going towant to go? Missing things once in a while is okay, especially when I need sleep.
    You’re a good mom, but you need to let me be a teenager. I’m sixteen, and I’m not allowed to do anything. I can’t hang with friends in town, go to the movies without my sister, and I’m not allowed to have a boyfriend. I’m not even allowed to talk to guys without you knowing about it. I don’t understand what it is with you and me hugging guys. It doesn’t make sense. You think that something is going to happen between us? Think about it, if we’re hugging, we are more than likely already friends so the next thing is a relationship, there is nothing wrong with that. You seem so surprised when a teenager my age cusses. And then you look at me and ask if I do that. I say no and you ask if I’m sure.
    Why don’t you trust me? I’m not allowed to go out with friends, or hang with people you don’t know, or talk to boys without you knowing, or talk on the phone after nine. You have to know every single thing about my life. If I don’t tell you on my own, what makes you think I want you to know?
    I do love you, but you don’t listen to what I say.
