   Chapter One ~
   It wasn’t easy being here again. Just the sight of the place, the chills it gave me were enough to send me crawling back home. Why did I even come back? Why did I even bother putting myself through that? All I could think of was him. I flashed back to that night, just a couple weeks ago. It was warm out, but I still got shivers. The night my nightmare began. His blue eyes went ice cold, his expression showed rage. His smile that I once loved so much was long gone. Everything I once loved about him faded into nothing. His tenderness, his humor, and the little ways he showed he cared, long gone. A monster replaced my perfect prince charming.
   Kyle Rogerson. I used to smile at the sound of his name, I used to get those damn butterflies, and now- I shudder. I trusted him with my life, and he broke that trust. He destroyed that trust, he crushed it until there was nothing left but regret. He told me so many things that were never true. Out of all the lies, “I love you” was the biggest. You don’t hurt someone you love. He hurt me, in everyway possible. He tortured me both physically and mentally. I had heard about abusive relationships, I never dreamed I would ever be in one. I loved Kyle, I never imagined the toll it would take on me.
