haha its okay, and you're right. but in order for those quotes to even be seen, especially when I was first started on witty (when there were much more quotes being posted) even if it was from tumblr, you had to have the followers to get it noticed. personally, I try to take few from tumblr because I love having my own original quotes (like this one and my poetry) so I can get attention from my OWN work - it feels a lot more gratifying, ya know?
anyways, I do get your point, and it's a very good one at that :)
personally, i think that if people will take quotes from tumblr, they need to have a balance to it so it isn't ALL from it
