hey you guys, so ive been thinking of this charity/organization i want to start, and i wanted to know your opinion on my idea. Because if i cant even get 25 people on a 100k+ site to like it, then what would be the point, right?
I dont have an idea of what to call it yet, since im worse with coming up with names. But i'd want it start as a website where its a place for bullied teens to go an talk to other kids with the same problems. There would be a chat room for them to talk to, and a section where kids who "survived" bullying to post thier stories, to kinda show that it does end or get better. If i do make this site, id like to have a pshycologist helping me so they can do kinda of an adivce colounm or at least talk to some of the people on the site. So this would be similar to a support group.A suggestion area would also be presant so that i can recieve feedback. There would be moderators on the site to ensure everyone is following rules. Id also post messages,updates, and any events(since i would like for this to also be kinda suicide/bullying prevention to)
There would be a section where all the artisitic people and submit tshirt designs for the organization and for anyone else to submit slogan ideas. Id pick the best ones and then wed sell the tshirts to raise money for the group. This would all be non profit.
Im hoping that with enough money raised (donations would also be welcome, not just money from tshirt sales) that soon id be able to (this is a long shot) build these buildings where teens can find a safe place to just hang out. A moderator would be present to ensure that they arent mean to one another and dont do any dangerously stupid stuff. It would be a lounge setting somewhat. With sofas, foosball tables, tables, chairs, a tv, maybe some video systems. People could donate stuff to the places (need a name for them too) and there would be a suggestion box that would be used to improve the buildings.
I would have more details thought out if i actually do decide to go through with this idea. Any thoughts,suggestions, or comments? Any ideas for the name of the website/organization or the buildings?
