Secrets

Madison Martinelli has secrets. Thoughts, wishes, dreams, vents and rants. All hidden in her diary. The book that defines her. One day, she plans on looking back on those words, and reflecting on the teenage girl she once was. But now, the future isn't looking so bright. After a long, stressful day at school and an unwanted encounter with her ex-best friend(s), Maddie comes home to find her diary gone. Gone. Along with her secrets, thoughts, wishes, dreams, vents and rants. It's as though she's been exposed. Now, her diary is being passed around, and no one knows who has it. Or at least, no one will tell her. It's like a piece of her is gone. A piece of her .. that the world is using against her. Who can she really trust?

    Chapter Three, Part II
Friday night. Sleepover with friends who don't ignore me and aren't minions of Brooke or Jack, . Finally, a night
away from the bullying, lies and backstabbing, I thought
to myself as I laughed along with my friends.
"So, guess what? I got a prank call the other day." I explained.
In response, Allison, my closest friend, rolled her eyes. "Everyone needs to give you a break. The bullying is getting really annoying. This has to end."
Even though there was nothing neither of us could do, I smiled and nodded. At least she was there for me.
Ashley and Macie, the two other girls with us, nodded but didn't say much.
"So," I said later on to them, "Are you going to Garden City with Annie and I?" Annie, being our other friend.
They all shook their heads. I was about to say something else, but decided against it and shrugged my shoulders.
The night continued, but the thought of why they weren't going was a little weird. Whatever, I thought, it's probably nothing.

The story is back. What do you think?

    Chapter Three, Part I
    TWO MONTHS LATER.
I sat on the couch, the television blared 'What Would You Do?'
Occasionally, my mind would drift away and I'd think of other things. Like the bullying at school, my lost diary, and who my real friends were. Eventually, I zoned out of those thoughts on focused on John Quinones on the television screen.
Suddenly, there was a vibrating feeling in my hand, I forgot my phone was there. I looked at the caller ID.
    PRIVATE.
"Who is it?" My dad side-glanced over to me.
I shrugged and muttered: "Prank callers," And ignored the vibrating.
He nodded, but I stared at the phone, afraid to answer.
It could be anyone. These days, you never knew.

Short one, again. Sorry, it'll be longer soon!

    Chapter Two
    Home.
It's not my favorite place, but it's better then school, I decide as I walk through the door into my silent house. I ignore the silence, since it's not unusual, and race to my room.
The door is open, which means the room inspection is over. I passed, I hope. I have nothing to hide. Well, expect my diary. I dump out my backpack on my floor.
    Math notebook.
    English notebook.
    Geography textbook.
    Pencil case.
    Gum.
    Cell phone.
"Where the hell is my diary?" I mutter.
I frantically search through the backpack, coming to a sick realization that it's not there. I take in a heavy sigh, and then think to myself: I took it out during Lunch, I must have left it there and the janitor must have threw it away.
It's a sad thought to think of my words thrown away, but I ignore it. At least it's in the trash rather then in the hands of someone who couldn't be trusted.
    Just think on the brightside.

    Introduction
The worst feeling the world is when someone you trust turns around and stabs you in the back. The worst feeling in the world is when a piece of you gets stolen, and passed around like it's show and tell. The worst feeling in the world is being called names, picked on, laughed at. The worst feeling in the world is being bullied.
I am Madison Martinelli, and this is my story.
