My mum is really sick, not so much anymore, but she still isn't great. It's been like this for years. I always ask her how's she's doing, and she always, without fail says "it's all good".
I say back to her "no, it's not. you're ill".
I asked her again today, and today she told me why.
She said:
"It's all good, Eliza, because it has to be. Am I dying? No. I'm just recovering. It's a slow process, but it's all good. Why is it all good? Because there is always someone in the world who is worse off than you. So it's all good. It has to be".

I saw him today.
he knows i like him. he was with another girl. he looked at me and asked why i looked so sad.
i stood there and said "why? when have my feelings ever worried you before?"

i've never really liked myself that much.
my confidence has always been quite low, and nobody truly knows why. i never tell them why, and so they in turn have learned to never ask. i degrade myself constantly, and people know that i'm not fishing for compliments, it's just who i am. truth be told, i've never really bothered to do anything about fixing this issue. i have fat legs, a bulgy stomach, and hair that is just irritating...
it's who i am.
but the other day my dad said something that just clicked. i don't know why it clicked, but it did, and so now i am going to do something about it. for the next month, i am going to excercise daily, not eat after dinner, have salads for lunch on a regular basis and eat lots of protein, limiting my carbs. in a month it's my friends party, and she is having a pool party. i want to look nice for this, and i want to go out and buy a nice bikini for the occasion. if this works, and my god i hope it does, and i get my flat stomach and thinner legs in the month then anyone can do it.
even after the month i am going to continue. if you've read this far, thank you.
