Chasing Demons
PROLOGUE // ZERO
My name Reina which means clean or pure. Not sure why my parents named me that, maybe simply because it sounded cool or perhaps the wanted their daughter to be anything but like them. I recently moved from a small one bedroom crap house in the projects, into my aunt’s studio apartment in Manhattan. My mother died when I was two from drug overdose and my father recently perished from the same deadly concoction. Somehow through all the trama I have suffered and all the pain that is tattoed on my brain from years of seeing, I am not like them. But so much swirles around in my head even still-- so many thoughs and memories and struggles. Sometimes I feel like I am Chasing Demons. Basically, life is one long road straight through hell.
I AM KIND OF WRITING THIS OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD.
