I know you have heard a lot about love.
I will tell you how it happened to me.
I will not say he was sent from above.
I will tell you that I loved his esprit.
I loved the way he made my soul smile.
Like superman, he would make my heart fly.
All moments with him he made worthwhile.
When I would give up he would make me try.
But separation came our direction.
My heart is broken because he is gone.
The distance made us lose our connection.
Now it is harder each day to move on.

How do I know if it’s time to say goodbye.
With or without you, I always cry.
I don’t know how to let go.
But I have to and that I know.

What if letting go isn’t right.
I have to learn to breathe on my own.
