Chapter 1
Grace’s P.O.V
My alarm went off the same time I got a text. “ It’s only 7:00.” I mutter under my breath. I drag myself out of bed and grab my phone. Zayn had texted me. Hey Gracie, are you going to meet the boyz and me at the airport????. I reply with a quick Yeah. When do you want me there?. In 0.2 seconds he reply’s: In fifteen minutes and at terminal F.
“ Gods, Zayn, how am I going to get there in fifteen minutes!!!. I sprint to my closet and just throw on anything in my reach. It turns out to be a grey sweater with a moustache on it, high waisted floral shorts, combat boots and a floppy hat. It didn’t look that bad.
I run down stairs, grab a granola bar and my keys and headed to my baby blue Honda civic. I floor the gas and speed down the street. Good Time by Carly Ray Jepsen and Owl City playing on the stereo, I turn down Airport street. I know, how original, Airport Street with an airport at the end of it.
I’m almost there when I hear the siren. “ Pull over your car Miss.” I hear a cop say. “ Miss, you were going 40 miles over the speed limit.” the copper, Officer Karl Higgins as his nameplate says. “ I’m so sorry, I was just trying to get to the airport to see my best friend.” I hear the words come out of my mouth and they sounded pretty good. “ And who was your friend Miss?” “ Zayn Malik.” I was just able to get the words out. I promised Zayn I would never tell a living soul hw is my best friend. “Ha, your probably just a fan trying to avoid a speeding ticket” Higgins the cop told me as passed me the bright yellow ticket. I look at my fine. $800!!! I gave a little bit of a dirty look, and he said, his voice softening a tone or two “ Where do you work??”. I reply, though barley audible, “ Hollister on 22nd street.”. “ And how much do you make in a month?” he asked a little too friendly for my liking. “ $800, but why should you care?” I say more boldly. “ I’ll tell them to make your next pay check out to me.” he said a strutted back to his car. I found a clear parking spot and slammed the poor car into park. I check my watch. I have 3 minutes to get to terminal F. I run past the terminals in alphabetical order. A,B,C,D,E they all go by in a blur. I finally stop at F. I slam open the door and push my way to the front of the crowd, which is enormous. “ Excuse me” I tell the girls in nicest voice I can muster. When people don’t move, I yell “ Move it girlies!! I’m a V.I.P!!!”. That worked well, as people parted right down the middle. I run up the boys with finger over my mouth, singling them to not tell Zayn I was right behind him. “ Oh. My. God.” I scream. “ Zayn, can I have your aoutgragh!!!”. “ Yeah sure where is your piece of paper?’’ he says, not looking at me. “ Right here!” I screamed at the top of my lungs and gave him a huge bear hug. “ Holy mother of God! Lou get this fan off of me!!” All Louis said was “ Look at her face.”. Zayn stared at me with his deep brown eyes. “ Grace!! Oh, am I glad to see you! I’m sorry! God, don’t you ever thing about doing that ever again!!” he said, not ever really taking a breath. “ Zayn, I’m glad to see you too.” I whispered softly in his ear. “ I missed you.” “ I did too.’’ he said and pulled me close. He turned me around and introduced me to everybody.
Zayn’s P.O.V
We waited fover for Grace to show up. I even had Niall call the local cab company. And I hate cabs. I will never be seen in a cab. I was soo mad at her. I start talking to Callie, Louis’s girlfriend. “ When Grace gets here, I am not talking to her.” I fumed at Callie. I know it wasn’t fair, but she was the only one not in a conversation. “ Don’t say that Zayn, it will be better if you talk about it with her.” she told me. She is a great listener and gives amazing advice. “ Is this why you and Louis are still together?” I asked her. Her and Louis had a huge fight in June. It was really bad. He wouldn’t talk to her for a week. But, she finally got him to talk to her and they worked it out. I personally think they are more in love because of it. “ Yes, Zayn it is. And I know you can work it out with Grace.” she said to me and walked off the join Louis & Liam’s conversation.
“ Man, she makes so much sense” I said. I went and talked to Paul. Then Grace scared the crap out of me. And then I tried to do what Callie told me to. And I introced her to everybody.
