You know what I think of myself
as? Not a whale. Not something
gross and ugly, I think of myself
as a glass. A clear water glass.
The one that doesn't fit with all
the other glasses but you use
sometimes when you run out of
clean glasses. The one you don't
care what happens to it. You jus
t place it on the top shelf about
to fall off. Then one day you
open the cabinet to get the
glass, and it comes crashing
down. The little pieces all over
the floor. You don't really feel
bad but, you try to fix it. The glass is all glued together and it's
about to break. It's waiting for
the day that someone just lets it
come crashing down again so it
can just end its suffering. One
day the day will come.
