So my birthday always upsets me, because it never goes right...
Today, I turn 20. I was skeptic at first, but this group of people who I've known for a week are throwing me a party at school today...

A BEST FRIEND
holds your hand when you're getting your ears pierced,
convinces you to smile no matter how badly you want to cry,
sits in the car with you because they know it's enough,
defends you (even when you're not there),
lies for you,
teaches you how to skip,
buys you ice cream on your birthday even though it's 37 degrees out,
picks your nose in public,
comes out of the bathroom with their pants unzipped just to finish gossiping,
has an album full of pictures of you both on facebook,
stands through an hour long train ride and walks half a mile to pick you up from work,
and plays cops and robbers with you and the guy you like (even though he doesn't know he's playing).
